ESTEFAN'S POV
"You are going to get yourself drunk at this rate," Esteban cautioned as I downed my fifth cup of tequila.
"I don't care." I poured myself another cup but he took it from my hand when I was about to drink it. "What's your problem?"
"My problem is that you shouldn't get yourself drunk when you have an important event tomorrow." He narrowed his eyes at me. "Your wife is still mad at you, you don't want to add your father-in-law to the list."
"Then what should I do?" I wiped my hands down my face.
"Talk to her." I placed his hand on my shoulder. "Drinking won't solve anything."
"But she doesn't want to talk to me. She has been avoiding me like a plague."
Ever since she decided on the divorce, I never got a chance to talk to her. I wanted to tell her how much I love her and that I can't live without her but I couldn't because she made herself scarce to me. Most of the time, she fell asleep in Esmeralda's room and I have to go pick her up from there.
