Her best friend

"Kill him the bastard!" At that moment, he knew he wasn"t gonna let go of Sara, she was holding Elian"s life now. And if he let go, she would end up killing him and her as well. And he doesn"t want that. He ran quickly back to Sara, she would be his shield. He held her hands behind her and spun her to face Hazard's men.

"If you move a step closer I"m gonna kill her."

"Just shoot him."

"We don"t wanna hurt you."

"Just do it!" She yelled.

"If you shot, you"re gonna kill her, put down the gun. And she"s gonna live."

"Don"t listen to him!"

He shouldn"t waste more time, he could tell by the sound of the water, it was almost filled up. Probably her it was covering her neck now, he gulped down in fear. He had to get her out of there. If he was gonna wait for Kenzo, Elina would die. She won"t get out of the well alive and that was their plan and he doesn"t want that. He doesn"t want Elina to die, he never wanted that.

He shook Sara, she grunts beside him.

"Give me the keys."

"I"ll never, you know how I hate Elina. I would rather die than give you the damn key."

"You really wanna die, without being the lords' mistress. Isn"t that you dream?"

"I-I-I-" she stuttered. She wants to be that, that"s why she had switched sides. She couldn"t die just yet. Not when they were on the brink of winning.

"I see you don"t want that. So why are you saying about death again." He pulled the gun of his hostler and pressed it behind her. She shivers.

Her teeth pressed together.

"Give me the keys, I can still kill you and get the keys. If that"s how you want it done, it"s just three of them, I can fight them. You know too well Sara, how crazy I can go if anything happens to Elina."

Sara fidgetted.

"You ain"t gonna do this are you?"

"Don"t push me. I"m at the edge of doing it. You didn"t know I had a gun with me. You think I can"t kill you, you ain"t Elina. You"re just a piece of shit!" Sara sighed. She was used to getting insulted but this did get her. Straight in the heart.

She stuffs her hands in the baggy pants she wore and took out the key.

"Tell them to step back."

"Step back, you don"t want me to get killed do you?"

The trio stepped back. Withdrew their guns.

But they knew they had to attack once he had let go of her and that was the moment they were waiting for.

He took the key from her hands and pushed her towards them, instantly he shoot at the one by the left. Then he ducked. Hiding behind one of the pillars in the well. He sighed. Hang in there, just a little while El.

Just hang in there.

It was all his fault, he felt so much guilty already. He sniffed, his eyes getting cloudy each time he glances at the well.

He didn"t know, the well was the target, he had no idea. That"s where they had to place her in. He won"t have to agree to it.

He never would.

Gunshot filled the spot they were. As they peek out of their hiding spot at intervals to shoot. Sara was running out of the room, she had to inform Hazard what happened, he needs to know, he was about to ruin their plan.

Taking a foot out. He shot at the last man. He fell flat on the ground. He sprinted out of his hideaway, running to the well. With what he had done, he had ruined the plan, he was aware of that, but he doesn't care anymore. He wanted her out of there.

Elina held the sounds of gunshot and her heart, bleed the more. It couldn't be that he was here. He couldn't be there, he would only get hurt. The water was covering her head. She was deep in it. Inside the water. She had a few minutes left, she couldn't hold it anymore. It has got her completely and she wasn't gonna make it out alive in the next minutes. Her hands wrestled with the waters as she thought of him. The life she had to picture them having. And the baby they were gonna have.

Kenzo, she never got to tell you, how much she loves you, and the one he's becoming.

Seems she's never gonna tell him that. And the last gulp, her eyes closed up.

She was damn tired to let them stay open again.

"El.." Ray yelled. Finding the right key to the lock.

"Hang in for a while." He cried. He was almost done, almost ready to open it. He had found the right key. He unlocked, opened the well.

He poked his head into the water, he saw her lying on the ground. He bites his lips. He had to stop the waters from flowing into the well. He pulled out his head from the water, running to stop the water from flowing. Running backward. He took off his shoes and jumped into the well.

He swims in to meet her. Swimming downward where she was. He pulled her off her feet. But it won"t burgle.

What was wrong?

He tried pulling her out again. The same thing, then he noticed her feet were chained to the iron rod on the ground.

He placed her back on the ground and kneel, he check the key he had in his hands, finding the one right one for the chains. He found them and unlocked them. Carried her again. And began swimming out of the well.

Elina, hope you would forgive him for what he has done.

He pulled her out of the well. And slumped next to her on the ground. Gasping for breath, turning to her side. He checked her pulse To if she was still breathing. Her breathing was faint.

"Elina, wake up." He cried, pressing her stomach. Just wake up, please! It won"t hurt right, since she was in her first trimester, it couldn"t do much harm to the baby. So he kept pressing them.

Praying silently as he did. He was gonna stone for his sins, no matter how much, he just wanted to be with her and around her.

Then she jerks up, coughing out water. Her eyes open. Ray pulled her in a hug immediately, crying on her shoulders. She hugged him back.

"I"m so sorry." He cried hugging her so tightly.

"I was so scared. I"m sorry El." He cried harder, Elina cried as well. Hugging him just as much.

"I"m so sorry." He wipes her wet face with his big hands.

"It"s okay."

"I"m sorry El. I"m so sorry." He cried harder.

"You should be sorry, for ruining my plan. Asshole!"

Elina wanted to snap her neck towards the direction of the voice but Ray hugged her instead. And the next thing they heard was gunshots. Ray"s body jerked as they heard it!

Bang!

He held her face, restraining her from looking behind her.

"I"m sorry for not realizing sooner who you were to me, for seeing you different, than I should see you. You"re that little sweet sister I had. I was so stupid not to see that."

Tears stream down his face while he said that. She sniffed. With her head still buried in his chest.

"I"m sorry El. And I want you to know that I love you, forever. And I"m sorry for Barbra too. I was beginning to love her. I"m sorry, for the trouble I"ve lost."

"Ray." She whispered when she didn"t hear a word from him for the last few minutes.

"Ray." His head was on her shoulders.

Lifting her head, she saw Hazard walking towards them.

Caressing the gun in his hands.

"I did hit the best spot." He chuckled. Elina glared at him as walked towards them. Smirking with the gun.

"Ray!" She shook him, but he won"t burgle. She shook him again, nothing happened.

And then he fell sideways. With hears were shot already.

Reaching out to the gun she saw on the ground she took it and staggered to her feet. Wiping her tears, with a withering glare at his way.

"I told you I was gonna ruin you Elina, but I haven"t fucked you yet."

"Go fuck yourself!"

"I"m gonna kill you. I swear, I"m gonna kill you!" She brawled.

Sara stopped when she was about to get in, he was dead, Ray was dead. Because the burning with so much fury, the dark gaze, the panting. The look was terrifying, she never thought this was what she was gonna he experience. She ran back out of the room.

The look on her face was that of a murderer. And she wasn"t ready to die just yet.

"I"m gonna kill you." She repeated with so much hatred. "I told you, if you hurt any of my friends, that I was gonna kill you. Seems I"m gonna be fulfilling that promise. Because you went too far."

Hazard parted his lips, but not a word came out of it. He was surprised, this wasn"t Elina he thought he was gonna face. Seeing her burning with so much wrath. And he knew she meant it.

"I"m gonna kill you, bastard!"
