Carta Planar

Jin Konoe, that's my name. I'm still in my second year of high school. Except of my black belt in karate and proficiency in some other martial arts, I don't really have anything special to be note of. My looks is above average, my body is muscular, I love playing games and reading novels. If you ignore the fact that I killed someone before, I can be considered as an athletic looking student which is not that uncommon either. One day though, I accidentally found a glowing card in my backyard and after picking it up, I ended being involved into a life and death game that involve the entire universe. After being involved in this game, I found out about many things that I never thought would exist and I decided to start paving my own path to survive in this game. _____________________________ Hello guys, I'm still learning how to write properly so forgive me if there any mistakes on the spelling and grammar. So I need to get this upgrade points to increase my level and killing other players is one of the way to get more upgrade points. That's why Sil told me that I would find out about it sooner.

If that's the case then the reason behind that treaty is obvious now, after all to get stronger, a player have to hunt other players. Those big families and organization seems doesn't want to lose any of their future rookies.

"There's nothing left to do here, let's move on and search for a shelter." (Jin)

~Time Skip~

10 days has passed since I got caught in this game and for the past 10 days I have been hunting a lot of beasts which in return also gave me more card drops. I also met 14 other players, of course their life ended when they meet me and I become level 6 as a result from killing them all.

I even participated in half of the battles, seeking experience to use my newly learned swordsmanship. Though I wouldn't lie that it felt a bit exhilarating whenever I fought in the front line as I always felt my blood pumps up every times I fought.

All of those 14 players were very poor and only 2 of them actually have a bronze grade card while most of the others have iron grade cards only. This made me realize once again how lucky I was to find Sil card.

And not just Sil, I still have Kirika, a borderline silver grade card that was about to become gold grade. I only found out about this fact after looking at Kirika status and Sil also stated that I was right about it.

I also asked Sil about why is her card cost only take 10 spirits while Kirika who's grade lower than her have a higher cost of 15 spirits.

Sil then explained that a card grade is not the only thing to take for measuring a card worth. A card worth is measured by it's power, defense, skill, and cost.

Even between cards of the same grade, there many that have different attack and power.

The higher a card power and defense is, the better that card worth is. While the lower a card cost is, it made more rarer.

In fact the average cost of a gold grade card was suppose to be around 50 Spirits, from that alone I could tell how rare Sil card is among the gold grade cards.

I also summoned all of my iron grade soldier cards that only cost 1 spirit as with Sil broken ability, I can summon them with no cost at all.

I plan to keep my spirit for summoning Kirika after all. I know for sure that having 1 higher grade card is much better than having 10 low grade cards.

I only 5 spirit short from summoning Kirika, and since my spirit limit got increased by 2 every time I level up, I still need to level up 3 more times which mean I need to hunt other players again.

'Well, let's the hunt begin.' (Jin)

Currently there are more than 40 iron grade soldiers under my command so I divided them into 5 teams of 8 man and order them to hunt for players.

My whole body also covered by bronze grade armors so my defense has risen by a lot. I also learn swordsmanship from Sil every time I was free so my knowledge of using sword has increased.

Though I already proficient in close quarter combat by using my own hands as the weapon, knowing how to use various types of weapon will increase my rate of survival.

"Master, to be honest I'm very happy to see you willing to work very hard like this but you have to know that an Imperian player play style usually only involve commanding and strategizing. Imperian players seldomly fight on the front line by themselves, so I want to remind you by any means to not get full of yourself while in the battlefield and rush to the frontline." (Silvanaz)

"I have been observing master behavior in all the battles master has participated in and I could tell that master is starting to feel pleasure in battle itself which is not something good for you, master." (Silvanaz)

I couldn't say anything back to her as everything she said was true. Although I find it thrilling and fun fighting in the front line, at the same time I also endangered my life.

Being lost in the pleasure of battles made my head clouded and couldn't think clearly.

"Yeah, you're right, thanks for the advice. I promise I won't be reckless anymore." (Jin)

"I'm glad that you are aware of your own shortness master, but it doesn't mean that you can being lazy now. We never know when will we have to fight alone so I will increase the training plan for you from tomorrow on." (Silvanaz)

"I'm looking forward to it then, teacher!" (Jin)

Time keep moving on since then and without realizing it, another 2 days has passed. Just within those 2 days, my soldiers had already hunted 34 players which brought me to level 9 and even only short 6 more upgrade points before leveling to level 10.

This show how effective my plan was. I only met 14 players when we moved as 1 group but now that there are 4 groups moving in different direction, the chances to find other players also increased.

I also summoned Kirika, leaving my spirit pool with only 1 spirit left. After that I still keep training with Sil while being watched by Kirika on the side line.

I already asked Kirika about why her grade was shown as Silver and Gold ans she said that it meant she was about to rise into the gold grade. It was then that I learned that a card grade can be increased by using grade up cards.

As I thought that my plan has been working smoothly, I got a notification from the system that I just lost 6 cards that were patrolling the north area. Being panicked from losing my for the first time, I ordered all the soldiers to come back to my position at once.

Fortunately there still 2 survivors from the destroyed team so I was able to know what happen there when they got back.

What happen was that their team as usual was able to found a player walking alone, and following my order, they tried to attacked her but unexpectedly she shot a giant flame toward the team which killed 6 of them while the surviving 2 soldiers ran away.

I was sad but also mad at the same time. I was sad that I lose my own cards, even if they are iron graded, they still part of my force. And I was mad for being an idiot that think everything will go as I plan.

Once again I was reminded how useless I am. It was a great plan to divide and hunt other players to level up in the shortest time, but it was also foolish of me to not thought about the plan with more detail.

The only thing I did was dividing my own soldiers into a group of 5 and tell them to hunt other players, that's all. I could have order them to check the enemy prowess first by using one card only to attack them.

If one of my soldier that can be considered as strong as a normal lead grade card can defeat them then that means the said player are weak, but if he lose then I can save my other cards and even mark the strong players.

"*Sigh* Damn it." (Jin)

I was to lost in my thoughts that I didn't realize that Kirika was standing right beside me all this time while watching my expression. Seeing that I was blaming myself, Kirika unexpectedly put her arms around my head and pull it toward her modest pair of breasts.

"Don't be to harsh on yourself, master. Real experience is the best teacher after all so learn from this mistake and do better for the future. Well, I knew that this will end up like this sooner, even Silvanaz knew it to." (Kirika)

I didn't blush for being held close to her breast, I was not some scaredy virgin boy after all. I have my own share of experience as well, but I'm still a guy after all so my little brother down there reacted without my consent.

Though I already knew why did Sil and Kirika kept quiet, I still asked her about it to hide how flustered I am from having an erection while being hugged by her. Yeah, I didn't flustered from being hugged but from having an erection in this kind of situation which somehow made me look like a horny kid.

"If you knew that this was going to happen, then why didn't you tell me?" (Jin)

When I asked her that question, to my relieve, Kirika then release me from her hold and look at me in the eye.

"You need to experience failure to grow master. Being always successful will only made you blind and arrogant. We want you to grow as a great leader, that's why we allowed this happen to you. This is the best chance we have to teach you as we are still in the rookie match." (Kirika)
