When it seemed that the meteor would finally smash into the Palace it suddenly defied the axis of its own momentum and halted, then suddenly... it ruptured on a deafening explosion of crimson releasing several tongues of crimson fire that burned whatever they touched.

"Whats that meteor....AHHHHH"
