"Oh, please! There was no need for all this cheesy talk this early in the morning," he rolled his eyes, "Let's do something fun!" All these dramas from the past just make me feel things I do not want to feel and would rather forget."
"What do you have in mind? I'm still hangover, so my current idea of fun is lying on my back doing nothing."
"Shopping!" he declared, raising his mug of coffee. "Bella, what do you think about shopping?"
"Shopping is always a good idea."
"Let's drive to Tokyo and go shopping then!"
"Baka! Driving to Tokyo is a terrible idea. It's better to just take a train than drive," she stood up from the breakfast table that Bella set up in the garden.
She noticed Bella always had a table set up outside when she was taking photos of them while they were eating. If not, they eat their food standing in the kitchen like a bunch of unmannered ladies their mother would disapprove of.
"Doesn't matter how we will get there. The important thing right now is we go to Tokyo and have fun!"
"Tone down your energy. I can't catch up. There is a ringing in my head."
She walked back to the living room, where she and Bella in their drunken state last night pushed all the couches against the wall to provide a dance floor in which they spilled drinks, fell over drunk out of their wits.
Seeing it now in the light of the day, it does look better. The room looks airy and spacious than before. Having too many trinkets in the room that doesn't spark joy gives her a huge amount of headache.
It would be a good idea to re-arrange furniture next time. But not today. She just wanted to lie down on her back and have a staring contest with the ceiling.
In which she did. She took off her silk robe, wearing nothing but her scandalous teddy, she dropped herself on the couch. And felt way much better.
She was on the sofa for no more than five minutes before she fell asleep.
Bella and Andrei woke her up when they were already done preparing and ready for their trip to Tokyo. They both have an overnight bag with them.
She yawned and stretched her arms above her head. "What time is it now?"
"It's now quarter to twelve. Haul your pretty ass and get ready."
She got up and looked at them busy with their smartphones. She clicked her tongue and slowly made her way to the second floor to get ready.
"Are we staying overnight?" she asked the obvious.
"Yup. We'll go shopping, eat, check some bars, go to the hotel where we already book -- no need to thank me -- then tomorrow we could hit the stores again for more shopping. That's our itinerary."
"Whatever. Just to be clear. I'm not paying for anything. Including the shopping part!" she yelled to Andrei from the top of the stairs.
Thinking about the clothes she has, she knew that it's a good idea to go shopping and get what she needs while she has a big fat wallet named Andrei Mark Tan.
She grinned with the idea of how she would abuse her guilt ticket to him to make him pay for everything.
She suddenly feels like shopping is a good idea despite not actually enjoying the activity most girls find interesting.
Shopping is a hassle she hates and avoids at all costs. She had a personal shopper when she needed to change her wardrobe.
Knowing that Andrei and Bella were waiting for her, she just took a quick shower. Don black skinny jeans and wore a black silk tank top. She knew that women exposing their shoulders wasn't a big deal here, but they were fine having their asses basically hanging out dry in the open.
Still, she decided to wear a top that exposed her shoulders since Andrei said they would hit the bars. The rest of the places they would go she could just put on her plaid blazer jacket and she would be fine.
No one would think of her being insensitive, she hopes. There was no worse mistake than being called a foreigner who did not know the country's cultural etiquette.
She put a small amount of gel on her damp hair before putting it on a bun. Her hair is a strange one. Whenever she wanted it to be neat and tidy, it always ended up all over the place, like she just rolled out of the bed.
However, if she tied it while it's still damp when it dries it always looks like she had an expensive perm.
When she was satisfied with her hair on a bun, she put on some light makeup on her face. She finished in no time since she barely put anything in her face. She just grabbed her favorite shade of red lipstick to wear at night.
She pulled her black leather backpack and put in two pairs of underwear, a dress shirt and that's it. Since they are going shopping, she will get what she needs in the store. No need to bring lots of change of clothes.
She carried her black suede ankle boots downstairs. She forgot that she had it in her suitcase and hasn't brought it down.
"I'm good to go."
"That was quick," he said impressed, glancing at his wristwatch, "Bella said there is a good local ramen restaurant near here, should we go check it out for lunch?"
"To be honest, I want a salmon onigiri right now. But if you want ramen, and since you are the one paying anyway, ramen it is!"
"I already agreed to pay for everything. You don't really have to remind me every now and then." He clicked his tongue, picking up his duffel bag, and slung it in his broad shoulder. "Let's go get that ramen."
"Yay!" She said in sarcastic enthusiasm.
I didn't update yesterday because I was busy preparing for the chapters of my other novel Capture The Blue-Eyed CEO that I joined for the Webnovel anniversary mass release.
My bad. Apologies.
