AN 18+ ALPHA MAFIA SERIES Caspian is the heir to Moonstone Pack but when his parents die, he’s cheated out of his birthright and treated like a prisoner. He decides to leave, running off to Haines City to start a new life. His plans are instantly cut short when he's kidnapped and auctioned off, and he is bought by none other than one of the Mafia Kings running the city, Asher Knight. -+- Asher shrugged his coat off, the heavy outfit falling to the ground with an audible thud. Caspian watched this happen in apprehension, Mafia King Asher had looked huge with the coat on, and with the coat off, there wasn’t much of a difference. “Come here,” He ordered calmly, the earrings in his ears visible with his dark red hair slicked back. Caspian shook his head again, he had no intention of speaking, ever. Because that would only give away his gender. “I don’t like to repeat myself, Omega.” His voice darkened. Caspian’s heart thudded painfully in his chest in fear, he really didn’t want to get anywhere near the Alpha. He eyed the window longingly before forcing himself to take a step forward, then another, and another… +- THIS IS AN 18+ MAFIA STORY SO IT WILL INCLUDE VIOLENT AND MATURE THEMES, READ WITH CAUTION.

+Chapter 2+

Caspian put his hands in his pocket as he strolled down the streets of Moonstone town, the town had formed around the Pack and the occupants of the town were all members of the Pack that had chosen to live outside of the Pack House.

He had only been outside of Moonstone when he was younger and if he could make it to the next couple towns over, he would find a Pack that were friends of his parents who would probably treat him nice but he was sick of Packs.

If he was leaving, he never wanted to be a part of another Pack again but that was next to impossible, everyone had to be assigned to a pack regardless of how big or small the area you were living in was.

There was one exception though, Haines City.

It was several hundred miles away and run by the Mafia but despite all that, it was possible to live safely in the city without being part of a Pack.

Packs didn't even exist in the city, just Mafia Houses, and people weren't obligated to be part of them. So it was the one place he would go but he had not really thought of leaving, nor of how he would live if he did manage to get there.

Caspian slowly trudged down a quiet street, his head down. There was a library but he didn't want to return to the Pack House so soon so it was better he stayed out of possibly crowded places.

How long had it been since he had freely walked outside like this? He couldn't remember, he suddenly didn't want to return to the Pack House.

He was clearly not wanted in his own Pack, and he didn't care about power struggles.

Caspian didn't notice how far he had walked until it got noisier, he had walked till he got to the only bus stop at the entrance to the town.

Moonstone was a really small town, to get on the train, one would have to take a bus to the next town. He stopped some distance away and stared longingly at the people who got to leave freely, wishing it was him.

He had the hundred-dollar bill he swiped but he doubted that would get him to where he wanted to be. He left when he started to attract attention, turning around and heading back to the Pack House.

He was starving now, and that was because he also hadn't eaten breakfast and it was late in the morning. By the time he got back to the Pack House and slipped in, lunch was long over but at least he was able to find something to eat, as well as a storage room he could stay in, out of sight, out of mind.

As he settled on the cold dusty ground, leaning against the side of a shelf, he realized that no one had noticed his disappearance he had been gone for hours.

Maybe it was the stolen money tucked away in his satchel or the fact that he had gotten the chance to go into the town for the first time in years, Caspian couldn't help but fantasize about running away.

If he was caught, his current situation would only worsen. He knew that everyone saw him as slow and gullible, it was why they didn't put in too much effort to lock him up.

But he couldn't live the rest of his life like this, like an embarrassing secret. What would happen to him when Noah decided that he was done playing charades and wanted a real mate? What would happen when the current Alpha and Luna stopped their pretense and decided they were tired of tolerating him?

Usually, he would spend his days reading or scrolling mindlessly on his phone but today he couldn't focus, his thoughts racing with plans of escaping.

He had no idea how he would live when he got to Haines city, he had barely been allowed to complete his high school education so it would be difficult to get a well-paying job but he would be fine with anything.

He did know how to get to the city though, he would have to take the bus to Beckley, the next town, and then get on the train to Haines.

It was a big city so it would be next to impossible for his Pack members to find him, that was if they even cared enough to do that, he would probably be doing the work for them.

Caspian was so absorbed in his plans that he forgot to eat dinner, only catching the passage of time when it had gotten late.

It was then that he dragged himself to his feet and started for his shared apartment, he didn't even have the energy to go hunting for his dinner, an unfamiliar mix of excitement and anxiety filling him up.

He gingerly opened the door and stepped in, not in the least surprised to find clothes littered in the living room, his nose wrinkling at the heavy scent of sex.

He went straight to his storage room and kept his satchel, safekeeping his stolen money in his piggy bank before changing into his old pajamas.

He stepped into the living room to find Noah there, he could already smell the Alpha's anger before the other even saw him. It explained why Noah went out of his way to acknowledge him, he usually pretended like Caspian didn't exist.

"You fucking stole what's mine, you little thief!" He exploded the moment he registered his presence.

Caspian didn't have a lot of emotions left so it was easy to put a blank mask on, "What? What are you talking about?"

"I know I kept a hundred fucking dollars in this room, and now it's gone!"

Caspian was about to mention the slew of Omegas he brought to their apartment but he had never seen Noah get so angry. The Alpha had never hit him before, he wasn't about to give him an incentive to.

"I don't know anything about that. I left like you told me to-"

Noah roughly brushed past him then, making him stumble. He walked right to the storage room where his things were kept. "I know you fucking took it! Shut it! Shut up! I don't want to hear your annoying fucking voice."
