"Ew, I think that sentence is a little ridiculous to add." I said that because I felt that way, even Chelsy nodded in agreement with what I said.
We were in the library finishing work for a group of three, none other than me, Chelsy and one man with glasses I thought his brain would be smarter than mine. It's true that he filled in almost all of it, but Chelsy and I were quite helpful with our work as well. For example, like now, I am grateful that Chelsy has always been on my side.
I think the man in front of me is being depressed, Chelsy and I secretly held back a smile so as not to laugh at the man.
"Just finish today, I'm hungry and we'll finish tonight in the group chat." I'm right, he's depressed because of us who seem to be working together, haha I'm sorry good man.
"Edward, if you can finish it all at once then just finish it, okay?" I suppressed my smile again after saying that, but all I saw was the man nodding after letting out a small sigh.
Edward actually walked away from there, leaving me and Chelsy who then aired our laughter.
"Damn it, don't you think we're joking too much?" I wiped my tears that fell unconsciously, I felt tired of laughing.
"Hey, it's just a matter of duty, as long as it doesn't offend anyone physically or mentally, then everything is still fine." I think Chelsy has a point, after all the coursework really stresses me out almost every day, so laughing every now and then about pranking someone is fine.
"It's time to go home, where are you going after this?"
I seemed to think for a moment, I guess I should fill my stomach for now.
"I don't think the canteen is a bad choice, you're going too, right?"
"Come on, I'm hungry too." We immediately cleaned up the things that had been outside the bag, walked out of the library together while joking around once in a while.
I regret this, I was too absorbed in our silly discussion to not notice that a man with a sharp gaze was staring at me since coming out of the library.
"Oi! Where did you hide my almameter?"
My steps automatically stopped, as did Chelsy who was confused by the man's words.
"He talked to you?" I didn't answer Chelsy's question, preferring to spend some time thinking about getting away from the man.
He approached me, a man named Leo who I had read about in his alma mater walked up to us. Can't he just not bother me today? Please, I'm currently having no reason to dodge other than running or sneaking around.
"He's really talking to you," Chelsy's whisper made me gulp my saliva hard, I didn't sweat so much at first again felt small dots appear on my forehead.
"You hear me, miss?" I looked up to see his grim face in front of me, the man who was taller than me raised his eyebrows waiting for my answer.
"I—" I turned my head towards Chelsy, as if telling her to give me a hand.
"Let me go to the toilet," I thought the man would let me go and understand that I really need the toilet to escape. However, instead he understood beyond reason that I was trying to run again.
My arm was pulled by him, although it wasn't as rough as yesterday but I still felt scared.
"Why don't you just be honest and say you didn't bring it?" Damn, he actually already guessed it. Maybe because I'm too stupid in acting.
"Ah—that, I brought it of course, but I left it in the—locker, yes in the locker. I'll—"
"I know you're lying."
Ah, come on, please cooperate with this lie of mine!
"No, if you don't believe me then just let go of this hand of yours and I'll take it for you." The next second he really let go, I had time to throw a sweet smile at Leo, then a smile as if pleading towards Chelsy.
I didn't want to be trapped now, so I took wide strides and immediately ran in front of them. Both of them were shocked when I did that, Leo who incidentally had a problem with me immediately followed after me without a second thought.
Damn it, why doesn't he just give up and charge me tomorrow? Oh God, please take me away from this place.
"Where are you going, huh?!" His voice echoed throughout the corridor, several people were looking at us but I didn't care about that, the most important thing was that I had to save myself right now.
"I didn't bring it! So please just let me go today!" I said no less loudly.
I saw he had bumped into someone and stopped to apologize, I took the opportunity to run farther so he wouldn't find where I was hiding.
I directed my body towards the toilet, not seeing earlier that the toilet I entered was indeed a women's toilet or not, the most important thing was that I was safe first.
I bumped into someone's shoulder, I gasped because this was the men's restroom, and to my surprise it was Alaska's shoulder. Unfortunately I didn't have time to say hello, let alone smile at him, he looked at me in amazement because he was running breathlessly.
"Where are you?!"
Because I heard that voice, I reflexively pulled Alaska's hand into one of the toilet rooms, I gave him a signal for him to be quiet by raising my index finger in the middle of my lips. He certainly doesn't have the same rights, but I'm just grateful that he can actually be quiet.
Our breaths collided, whether he realized it or not, but one hand was on my waist. Well, maybe because after I pulled it I immediately put his hand in a circle there. I feel him staring at me who is shorter than him, I ignore him for now because I really feel I have to take cover from that fierce man.
"Damn it, where is she?!" I tightened my grip on his unconsciously, I held my breath even more so as not to be heard until it came out. I swear, this situation really makes me feel trapped.
"Just get out of there please." I said softly while closing my eyes, whether Alaska noticed that or not, I think he was looking at me.
On the one hand I want this situation to end soon, but on the other hand I want to be in this position with Alaska a little longer.
