I supported my chin with my left hand, resting it on the counter, all while digging my fork into the grilled steak Greta served me for lunch.
Greta stood at the opposite side of the counter where I sat, watching me quietly, but trying not to interfere with my thoughts.
The presence of the bastard whose name happened to be Daniel that inflicted pain on me in this mansion bothered me. Of all the places in the world, I had least expected to run into him in Liam's penthouse, and this scared the hell out of me, especially when he walked towards me like he wanted to murder me when I first saw him.
