Chapter 282

Once Zack's chest was cleaned Tami pressed up against him pulling her top down. A soft sensation was pressed against his chest while the tongue delicately worked down his thighs. Zack's hands rested upon her hips while caressing her cheek. Tami carefully retrieved her tongue looking up at Zack.

"Did Olivia put you up to this?" Zack asked.

"No, but she did offer us gold and said it was from you. I wanted another form of payment." Tami ran her hands down Zack's chest.

Tami pushed Zack back to the bed and made him sit. The tongue carefully ran up, and down Zack's shaft. When it twitched from the sensation her tongue wrapped around. "It was a dragon that gave chase," Tami whispered before opening the door.

While walking out of the room with Tami they saw Dyna, and Lilith leaving hers. Lilith rushed up to Zack jumping onto him while kissing him passionately. Zack was caught off guard by Lilith's reaction but held her tightly.

"You were gone too long," Lillith muttered.

"You're journeys away from me have been longer than that," Zack replied while lifting her chin.

"Th-that was d-different." Lilith stuttered.

"Someone's getting spoiled." Ren teased from the bottom of the steps.

"Shut it." Lilith glared.

"I think it's cute." Yuki smiled.

"We got worried when you didn't walk out of the bath," Kaya scolded Zack.

"I got side-tracked," Zack replied.

"The fault lies with me. A bath is no longer needed because I cleaned master thoroughly," Tami bowed politely towards Kaya before leaving.

'Ho-how did s-she do that?' Kaya glanced at Tami.

Tami's background was a mystery, and only the maids knew her species. The only information they had was Olivia recruited her personally. Tami only spoke to the others when doing her duties, and always kept her tongue hidden. She treated everyone politely and was very quiet therefore Kaya didn't pester her.

"Helena is saving a seat for you." Yu smiled.

"Dibs on the free spot." Octavia declared.

Hearing this Lilith hopped down from Zack as her wings appeared. She floated over the balcony forming the bident in her hand, but Octavia held her ground. Realizing it wasn't a bluff a smirk appeared on Octavia's face as she drew the gladius dying it black.

"I was here first," Lilith said in a cold tone.

"Well, I've known him the longest." Octavia retorted.

"Welcome home." Dyna kissed Zack on the cheek.

They both dashed forward to clash in the air, but their weapons met Zack's spear. He knocked their weapons back while seizing them by the hips.

"You're both wrong." Zack smiled at Yuki.

Ren smirked watching them both get shut down, but Yuki blushed

"But that doesn't mean I love you any less. Octavia can sit in my lap, and you can have my arm." Zack proposed.

The bident disappeared, and Octavia sheathed her blade.

"Why does she get the lap?" Lilith asked while resting her hands on his chest.

"Cause she will behave in public." Zack teased.

"They are waiting on us," Dyna said as she descended the steps.

They wandered towards the hall and saw the crowds still gathering. Upon entering Zack saw Helena standing in her seat waving them down. At her side was Destiny, and across from her Elizabeth. As Zack approached the table goblins stepped forward.

Apologizing was a skill Marx didn't possess, but he knew they owed a debt. One of the others agreed to do the talking, and a woman with blonde hair approached Zack.

The woman with a pixie cut and purple eyes is named Nina. Standing before Zack she was at waist level and looking down from this angle he could see the green skin transition to pink tips.

"Thank you for getting us out of that hellhole. I know you wanna rescue the rest, but they are beyond saving. Every one of them would rat us out to get a chance at luxury." Nina told Zack.

'She's not wrong, but that's not an apology.'Marx sighed.

"If you wanna wipe out the assholes upstairs I'm up for it," Nina smirked.

"This was supposed to be an apology for attacking you," Marx said while rubbing the back of his head.

"You were worried about your family, and I heal easily so don't worry about it," Zack replied.

"Are you coming, papa?" Helena asked as she approached.

"I was just talking with some friends," Zack replied while resting his hand atop her head.

"We won't keep you any longer," Marx told Zack.

"Why don't you join us?" Lilith offered.

After a little convincing from his daughter, Marx agreed, and they joined Zack at their table. While eating they caught Zack up on current events. When the report of the goblin city arrived Haruna was preparing to return home to recruit but before leaving she authorized a mission.

They sent two operatives to set up a shop in the city to catch the attention of the representatives. With the items produced in Eden and funding from Zack, it wouldn't be difficult to seize a pass upstairs.

From there the investigation could truly begin, but it had to be an organic process to avoid suspicion. When they finished eating Marx's daughter ran off to play with the other children. With Helena joining them they began discussing the Baron.

"They deal with him every month so it's a small window," Marx told Zack.

"You said he was a greedy man, and they are easily manipulated," Miu stated.

"The Baron's judgment would be clouded, but the mercenaries won't drop their guard that easily," Kintaro replied.

"They are beaten with seduction, and we have a few kunoichis who excel in this." Asami proposed.

"Everyone who works for the Baron has access to the slums at their leisure, and they have the brothels upstairs when they get paid," Nina replied.

"Finding the next thread on the slaver's trail is important, but I won't risk the lives inside for it. That's why I left the portal in place. If all else fails we evacuate the slums and we mount a surprise attack."

"They would continue to take lives in the process though," Asami stated.

"Our new ally in the swamp would still give us another shot at them, and my investigation has just started," Zack replied.

"Investigation, and infiltration is one of our specialties. M-maybe I can help." Miu told Zack.

"You have another mission tomorrow, and won't be back till after his departure," Kintaro stated.

"I could get done fast enough." Miu stomped on his foot.

After Miu attempted to join Zack the others started giving their applications to join him on the road. It started as bragging of their combat abilities but turned to more lewd skills. Zack was forced to cut his social time short that night to keep the indecent argument from escalating.
