Chapter 6 Money

"Turn off the chains Master, do you realize what you're saying, you can't just turn off or take off the chains"

"I show you later when everything is in place, for now let's focus on something more immediately like how to make money, I'm sure 10 silver wouldn't be enough to make the changes I want" Gabriel muttered.

"We should make a list starting with more immediate things, but we also have no paper or writing material" Beatrice spoke.

"Before that, what do you know about protection crystal?"

"It's used to prevent magical attacks, it's like a barrier that stops attacks so the building won't be destroyed, but it only stops attacks to a degree, and if the attack is focused on the building the crystal would be destroyed" Beatrice said.

"Okay, what about spell books, they are used for learning spells right?"

"Yes, you mentioned something about buying a spell book but since I didn't see it, I didn't ask, did you buy a spell book Master?" Beatrice asked.

"I'm just asking, so Beatrice what do you think is the most immediate thing that we need" Gabriel asked.

"I know of things but I can't just decide, but I know we need bedding, we can start with two rooms, we need furnitures in the rooms, and down here so we can set up the reception, we also need a sign outside so people know what we are doing here, we are just starting so I'm sure our customer won't need food or drinks" Beatrice muttered.

"All the things you mentioned, can we do them now?" Gabriel asked.

"No, we don't have money?"

"That's right, so the most important thing we need right now is money, do you know an establishment that loans money, since we own a business I'm sure they'll be willing" Gabriel spoke.

"I have no idea, I know things because your dad brought me on his trips to the capital, but he didn't borrow money, I'm sorry Master?" Beatrice spoke.

"Don't worry, before that can you find a shop that deals with woods, that makes signs and builds counters, and ask for the price" Gabriel said.

"No problem Master, I saw a shop like that on our way" Beatrice replied.

"Good, take both of them, and give them clothes, they are practical naked" Gabriel muttered.

"My clothes would fit one of them, I'm not sure it'll fit her"

"Just try, I'll see you later" Gabriel spoke as he left the building.

'Map, show me where I can loan money' Gabriel muttered and the map opened but there was no red dot.

'I knew it won't work, I have to find it myself, I'm sure I can ask around when I can, ohh that's someone'

"Hey can I ask you something?" Gabriel asked a man who covered his entire body with a robe .

"What is it" the voice spoke and Gabriel knew it wasn't a man.

"I just want to ask if you know where I can loan money, it's okay if you don't know I'll just ask someone else" Gabriel said.

"Do you want money, I have a lot of money, where is your house?" The lady asked.

"My building is over there, do you..." The lady immediately dragged Gabriel with her as both of them ran towards his building.

The door opened and Beatrice came out with his two slaves, the three of them saw Gabriel running towards the door.

"Don't worry Beatrice, just do what I asked" Gabriel spoke as both of them went inside.

Gabriel finally saw her face as she was looking around to see if anyone was following her, she was a girl, probably younger than him.

"So are you going to tell me why you are running, and where is the lot of money you said you had?"

"I do have lots of money but you need to do something else for me"

"Are people after you?" Gabriel asked.

"Yes, you need to get me to safety, I'll reward you well, I really have lots of money" the girl spoke.

"So you are a fugitive, you know I can take you to the people looking for you and get a reward of some sort right" Gabriel spoke without hesitation.

"What...wait, you can't do that, I really have money, please"

"Hey hey, I was just joking...are you going to cry, I'm sorry" Gabriel immediately apologized.

"Good, I was also testing you, I wanted to know if I could trust you, I need you to get me safely to the upper district, and I'll give you anything you want"

"Can you give me a building in the upper district?" Gabriel asked.

"You know that's impossible, you aren't a noble and I have no idea who you are, but I can give you money to buy a building in the lower district" the girl spoke.

'I just said that as a joke, she really is someone important, I'm sure she's not a princess...wait is she a princess'

"So you want me to protect you till you get to the upper district right, okay but first tell me your name and take off the hood"

"What does my name have to do with protecting me, and I'm not taking the hood off, I have a scar on my face" the girl spoke.

"Alright, I can protect the princess, it's no problem" Gabriel muttered.

"Huh...what...who told you I'm the princess, really, you must be delusional, the princess is in the Royal Palace"

"What the name of the princess, it's Laura right"

"Laura...the princess name is Isabella, you don't even know her name and you're confusing me for her" the girl chuckled.

"Again I was joking, give me a minute" Gabriel spoke as he went upstairs and the girl stood at the window looking outside.

"Isabella" Gabriel called and the girl turned around.

"I thought you weren't the princess"
