6. accidental meeting

i was running late for my dance classes as it was hectic day at college i was running when i saw my bus leaving bus stop. i was frustrated i missed my bus and because of it i would miss my practice. I was waiting there when a bike stopped in front of me i ignored and turned my face to opposite side. The person ridding the bike asked " madam lift." i looked around it was me and only a old lady sitting at the corner. I said in firm voice "don't you try to get fresh with me or else i'll break your leg." to this he removed his helmet and said " no please i have a match in few days." i was surprised to see the person i exclaimed " arlen you!!" he giggled and said " i saw you running behind the bus so i can drop you if you want." i agreed instantly and sat behind him " where to go?" he inquired " Y.M.C.A and where are you going?" i asked as he started the bike. " to meet my friend you know him." he said " Neon?" i said " yes and what are you learning at y.m.c.a.?" arlen asked " i am learning contemporary dance form." i said and we reached at the gate. " thanks for lift." i said " no need it was my pleasure." he said in low voice i said " so i think you should drop me everyday to get pleasure." i laughed and he just smiled at me " next time i would love to meet neon at his place." i said to this he nodded and left.

i entered the changing room and saw michelle sobbing i was about to ask her the reason but i stepped back i knew after what she did it was good if i maintain the distance. At the class i saw laurens first time after the club which made me emotional i was looking at him till i settle down at my place he was busy talking to our coach and the moment he looked at me i turned my gaze. Then michelle entered and stood near a different boy and laurens was with another girl. i understood laurens exchanged the partners and even michelle was crying must be something not well between them. I tried hard to ignore them both and concentrate on my dance practice.

We were having a hectic day at college today because tomorrow it was sports meet at our college and we were very much excited. After finishing my work I headed to canteen and met Arlen their " Hii!" I said " hey! come join me." he said sitting on one chair. I settled down and ordered my meal. "so all set for tomorrow." I said " hmm, it's just a normal sports meet." Arlen said casually sipping his coffee. "confidence" I mocked him to this he chuckle and said "no...no it's just I was a national player previously so I am use to of such tournaments." he said looking straight into my eyes I said "wow! it's going to be fun tomorrow" he smiled and said "yup! but don't you think you overstress about your work I mean I have seen you running everywhere in campus, managing equipments, lightings and other stuff just calm a little bit." his voice was low but still it makes me conscious everytime and I felt something different when he showed concern. I blushed but replied " well I never thought someone might be keeping an eye on me." He was staring at me as if examining me then he said " no, I am not stalking you it's just you are undeniable." I was blushing hard I didn't know what to answer him. He was not the first to flirt with me but his presence was so dominant that I was unable to reply I started eating and felt his gaze still on me after sometime of awkward silence I was digging into my plate and he was just looking at me then he left his seat and stood near me and bent to my ears and said "see you at the stadium tomorrow." in low voice and pushed my hair locks behind my ears and left.

His voice gave me chill and his touch made my body stiff my heartbeat raised. Even I was confused why I feel so differently around him. I was about to leave when krys entered and sat beside me "what happened Rose you look so pale." I came back to my senses and said"nothing just zone out come have lunch." " no babe I had my lunch earlier came here just to grab some coffee." said krys and I nodded she took sip of her coffee and said" what's happening Rose?" I gave her questioned look then she said "you were never so quite is everything alright did Laurens and you met." she started questioning I grabbed her hands and said "relax krys nothing serious it's just the tournament and assignments nothing much and Laurens yes I saw him yesterday after so many days even Michelle was crying I guess..." I didn't even finish when krys interrupted" you think so much Rose it's gone now don't think of them they are partners now let them solve their problems you should move on." she said I nodded and smiled then she said " let's go now we'll be late otherwise" saying this we left the canteen.
