CHANGE OF LORDS II

There was a knock on the door then I walked in to see Alex sobbing on his bed.

I called him but he said I should go to h*ll.

I walked closer and touched his back then he looked at me and I saw the faint rims around his eyes.

I then said,"I'm sorry for what I said, I was emotional, please forgive me?"

He nodded then said,"I don't want dad to die."

I felt a hole in my heart as I said,"Neither do I, but, he wants us to be happy, that's why he wants to show extra love to us, to all of us and are you ready to receive it?"

He nodded then slowly got off the bed and walked out of the door.

For the first time in... forever, I could sense the fear of losing someone in him, and I had never seen him so vulnerable, maybe he really was just misunderstood.

I sensed him dashing down the stairs and running to knock my dad down with a massive bear hug then smiled to myself.

The next few months were the best of my life.

My dad taught me all his skills, all the ones I never knew, he loved myself and my family to bits and quit his jobs both at the camp and as a Monster Hunter just so he could take care of the house, give us home cooked meals and shower us with love.

He also took us back to our home country to explore its beauties and tourist attractions, so we could reconnect with our roots.

It was such a sad moment when he was on the hospital bed, frail as a lamb and saying his last words.

Alex fought back his tears but the rest of us cried like babies even though he told us not to.

The day he died was the worst in my life.

I wanted to get closer to my family so I did everything I could to make them feel happy and proud of me.

But Alex was the same cold hearted, hot headed child.

Alexa on the other hand became even sweeter, to the extent I wondered how someone as kind as her could even exist.

Her relationship with Trevor grew even stronger, so as he. Trevor was an amazing student and was actually not despicable, don't tell Alex but he was like the brother I never had.

I also decided to be nicer to Alex and began that by resuming his training, but that only backfired.

He went on to attack innocent people including Trevor's family and also put several animals in half dead states, so my mom impounded him and I terminated his training, permanently... again.

My mom, Alexa and I also payed for the damages he caused as my dad had justly included all of us in his will.

But despite this, Alex was very talented, maybe even as much as myself, or even more.

He was able to learn new skills and sub skills on his own, even when he was impounded, which I must say was impressive.

He went on to register to be a real Monster Hunter and didn't do bad at all, in fact, he quickly became one of the top agents in his division around the world, but that wasn't enough for him, so he actually took the singular position of first, actually in a fair manner.

Trevor on the other hand wasn't any worse, he was almost as talented as Alex was, winning championships like they were nothing and actually being a great help in missions.

He became a Tae Kk Yeon master and the third best in the country, but after being motivated by Alex's discouragements and Alexa's encouragements, he went on to beat and be the best.

Alexa jumped three grades, and became one of the best child gymnasts and contortionists out there, but she didn't believe in violence so ended up being bullied by the several girls who were jealous of her life, yet she was also defended by the several boys who had a crush on her.

I also had to take up the position of the new principal of the camp at the age of nineteen, as it was part of my inheritance, but I didn't stop teaching, and everyone loved me, other than the jealous boys.

I also enrolled Alex in the camp so he would be trained at a moderate rate, then ended up enrolling Alexa as well to keep an eye on him.

Alexa made new friends fast and several boys started ogling over her in her first week, even though she was the only student without a light, she was far more beautiful than all the students with them.

Alex had all the girls his age and slightly above and under flocking after him, but became a playboy, changing girl after girl every week, yet they always begged him to take them back.

Alex also got into a lot of fights in the campus grounds, destroying property and injuring several students twice his age.

This made him look like a bad boy and even more attractive to the ladies, with the older ones chasing after me.

I wondered if my family's extreme good looks were a blessing or a curse.

The boys were pressing on Alexa so hard that I had to enroll Trevor as well to protect her and he gladly did.

Alex appeared in my office virtually everyday with the same smug look on his face and either the school, a student, a staff member or any combination of the three severely injured, and even when I sensed it from the beginning, there was nothing I could do.

Alex also started flaunting his share of the inheritance in the worst ways possible, to the extent that my mom had to freeze his credit card so he couldn't use it.

But even then, he started committing crimes again, to the extent he was banned from the Monster Hunter association, but he grew worse after that, so I had to beg for them to take him back so he'd calm down.

At that moment, half of the blue giant's hypernova beam had completed a third of its journey...
