Arrangements

Following the elf who is wearing a suit, Leontes looked around and observed this building with great interest.

"Hey, i didn't expect it to look like this, we were only about to see the task board in the game"

Leontes said in a low voice while looking around.

Hearing no answer, Leontes who looked at the silent Lyceus which made him confused.

'Strange, this chat box won't miss any opportunities of talking'

".... I'm not sure, something strange clicked inside me, that one called Rei look so familiar, yet i can't remember, also….. i don't know why but why the hell did i think he's cute??"

Hearing his brother say strange things again, Leontes simply moved a few steps away.

"Hey hey, i didn't expect that not only your appearance changed, but even your orientation"

Hearing this, Lyceus gave him a blank look and shook his head.

"Impossible, i think the problem is not me, but him, anyway don't you think he looks familiar?"

"I'm not sure, i didn't pay much attention to the story mode, after all, what i wanted was to unlock the pvp mode, besides that game is a GL one, who cares about male npcs, i simply only looked at those heroines"

Seeing his brother like this, Lyceus sighed and looked at the elf guide who didn't react to their small chat.

'Hopefully it's because i haven't had any contact with humans in the past days, maybe because he's the first one, that's why i had that thought, this damn body, if this continue i don't mind being cruel on myself'

A fierce light flashed in Lyceus eyes as he thought about this.

"We're here"

The elf leading the way stopped in the third floor near a rows of doors, he pointed to the one on the left and said.

"The third one on the left is yours now, there is only a few simple furniture, so if you want anything you can buy it with your own money, also Sir Rei told me to give you this book, it contains all the rules about this guild, and this kingdom"

The elf gave them a book each, not thick but also not thin.

"I see, so, when do we start working, or do we need some tests or?"

Leontes took the book and asked the elf by the way.

"Tomorrow at the first ray of sunlight, all the workers here are required to wake up and arrive at the first floor to make sure who is present and who is absent"

Although it's a bit early, the two looked at each other and nodded, after all this is currently the only way for them to get a legal identity in this world now.

"Alright, then see you tomorrow, you can take the rest of the day to recover and get familia with the place"

The elf bowed to them then left a key in Leontes hand and went on his way.

"Say, when did that Rei gave instructions to this guy, I'm pretty sure i kept him in check during that interrogation"

The only thing that bothered Lyceus is how did Rei gave instructions while he was focusing on him.

"I think you've been busy starting at his pocket before arriving the guild, i saw him took a device and spoke in a low voice, so it's probably something like a phone, he probably arranged all of this after seeing our sincere surrender"

Lyceus shrugged his shoulder and pushed this matter aside, anyway thinking too much will only hurt the brain.

The two opened the room and went inside, it's as the elf described it, a simple room with two beds separated with a small table, with a couch and two chairs and a wooden table in the corner, and there is door in the other corner of the room, which looks like a bathroom.

"So, what's the plan?"

Leontes sat in one bed and asked Lyceus.

"What plan? We'll just go with the flow, beside it doesn't seems that bad working here, i always wanted to be a recipient in an adventure guild"

Lyceus lay on the bed while enjoying the soft touch under him.

"By the way, let's check the rules, i want to know the name of this place, the map we took before didn't have much info about the whole kingdom, only a region, and I'm interested in knowing the time"

Lyceus remembered the book the elf gave them, so he stood up and said to his brother.

"I think we're not in the plot timeline, after all the game was mostly a bunch of lords fighting, and it look kinda peaceful here, beside i remember that weird forest in the game, it was a battlefield too"

Leontes added his opinion while sighing.

"honestly the plot is so bad that it make me want to vomit, what made me keep playing was the heroines, i can't really understand what the developers want by making us fall into countless pits, it's just a simple game of playing with a girl character to conquer other girls, why make it so uncomfortable"

Lyceus grinned when he heard this and answered.

"You sound really like a creepy man, beside it's good that the pvp mode after clearing the game let you make your own character, imagine if we're stuck with the bodies of one of the heroines"

"Yuck, that's really….scary, anyway luckily i didn't listen to you and make a troll character, i can already imagine the ending"

Leontes made a disgusting expression and complained.

While talking, Lyceus opened the book and start reading.

"Hmm, i see, it's basically the basic stuff of mutual respect between the staff and the client, hmm and punishments are clearly stated here, now let me see the rules of this kingdom"

Flipping through the book, Lyceus stopped at the section of the kingdom rules.

"Parsa kingdom? Never heard of this, does it ring any bells for you?"

Leontes pondered after hearing this.

"Hmn…. Wasn't there a wasteland named like this? Parsa something, and it's near the cursed forest in the map.... The cursed forest was the name i think…. Eh?"

Leontes realized that they unconsciously entered another pit, and he couldn't help but resent the one who made the game.

'Curse you and your family you damn developers'

"No way, our starting village will be ruined, what a luck, beside now i remember, no wonder that Rei looked familiar, that iconic hair color and red eyes, isn't that the same as my main, Electra, her background have a lot to do with Persa wasteland…but, wait so we're basically before the plot, and since that guy face looked like Electra, could it be her father or grandfather?"

Lyceus was talking like he solveda huge mystery.

"No wonder my heart pounded when i looked at that face, it seems that my orientation are fine, it's probably my deep impression of her that made me like this"

Leontes just look at his brother and shook his head.

"Nah, you're just gay"

"Fuck off"

A vein popped on Lyceus forehead when he heard this, so he simply changed the subject.

"Anyway, we need more information, beside even if things developed in the worst direction, we can survive, this bodies cleared a lot of dungeons, and a ton of monsters, plus the level and raw stats alone are almost all maxed"

"Yes, but what make me sad is….. our equipments"

Leontes sniffed his nose when he said that, god know how many months of playing and grinding did the two of them went just to get some good equipment, now it's all gone, they were simply thrown into that forest with just a robe covering their bodies, it's the most basic equipment that came with the character when you first created it.

"...…. Damn, don't remind me, my armor, my sword, i can't forget them, they always appear in my dream"

Lyceus cried bitterly at the loss of their equipments.

While the two were immersed in their drama, Pers was looking at the sunset that cast a beautiful shadow on the city from the window of the meeting room, behind him were the trio he called last time, both Eric and Luna aren't sure why they got called for the second time in the same day, except Rei, he was called for the third time.

"Basically, there was no cults activity, nor criminals, but we found two anomalies"

Pers said this while facing them with his back, the last light of the day fall on top of his head, making him look holy.

"How did they cross the cursed forest with no team and no equipment, where do they come from, it's unknown, basically they are so suspicious that i honestly don't want them to enter the city, but, they bowed their head, for a strong person to bow his head can only mean he really need help, and their intentions are pure, so i made a decision with Rei and let them work as staff here, first to leave a good impression, and second-"

"To monitor them, Roger"

Before Pers finished his sentence, Luna added from the side.

"That's basically the general idea, Rei will be responsible for them most of the time, you can help him from time to time, also, Eric"

Pers pointed at Eric.

"I want you to try and get close to them, of course not too close, at least a basic trust, children can be trusted faster, try to pry some info from them, after all I'm still suspicious of their goal and the so called curse on them"

Eric nodded, while Luna was confused and asked.

"Why should you bother going around in circles? Isn't it better if you let Rei just beat them until they confess on their own?"

"Can't, maybe i can if it's against one, but the two of them i can't do much, my eyes never betrayed me"

Rei answered seriously while pointing at his eyes.

"As expected of brother Rei, his eyes is so powerful that they can predict the outcome of a fight before it start"

Although this sound like a complement, Rei was obviously annoyed by this, it clearly means that he was beaten before the start of the fight.

"Anyway, Luna, do me a favor and cast a tracking spell on the adventure cards that I'm planning to give them, i will send it to you after they sign their names and other basic information"

Pers looked at Luna and said this, to which she nodded.

"That's mark the end of today's meeting, next time there will be more than the three of you, you can leave now"

With that said, Pers sat in a chair and looked outside the window.

"I hope nothing serious happens"

He murmured to himself, lost in thoughts.

The next day, as the first day of sunlight invaded the third floor of the adventure guild, a knock was heard from a room in the left side.

Rei, facing the door, knocked a few more times, seeing no response, he frowned and put his hand on the handle of the door.

"No response huh, still sleeping, let me teach you how to wake up early"

With an evil grin on his face, he slowly opened the door.

"Hey, wake up...huh? Empty?"

He was surprised by this, when did they leave the room, just when he thoughts of many possible situations, he heard a cough behind him.

"Ahem, what can i help you with Mr.Rei?"

Lyceus stared at the calm Rei who entered the room, although he pretended to be calm but he was really nervous in his heart.

'This thing again, why is my heart beating faster again'

"Heh, can i know where you've been? And where is your brother"

Rei crossed his arm and looked at Lyceus with interested.

"Cafeteria, it was written in the book that it open at 5 AM everyday, so we camped there half an hour early, also it's only 5:37 AM now, i believe we're not that late for you to come here on person"

Lyceus, who took out a pocket watch, glanced at it and reported the situation.

'So lucky, didn't expect that there is a shop that sell watches, although it was closed but it's not a problem at all'

"Hmm, i see, but my question again, where is your brother, and why are you alone"

Rei smiled playfully and asked again.

"Still in the cafeteria, i just came here to take the guideline books, we forget them here"

Lyceus entered the room and went directly to the small table between the beds, there lay two books near every bed.

Packing the books, he turned around and simply nodded to Rei.

"If there is nothing else then I'm going first"

Rei left the room before Lyceus and headed straight to the fourth floor, which is only exclusive to A-rank adventurers and higher, a place to receive some tasks that's can't be put in the general task board.

Because he need to check some stuff before going to the task board and look for anything interesting, he walked faster.

The moment he stepped on the fourth floor and was sure no one is watching him, he put his hand on his left eye and start laughing.

"Hahahaha, i didn't expect, i really didn't expect, i haven't feel this reaction from eyes a long time ago"

His left eye is throbbing, the veins there are beating like a heart.

"Fuuuuuuuh, this is really an opportunity, i can feel it, my path of advancing lie in this, prepare yourself werewolf, I'm gonna get what i want from you"

He's calm expression is no more, instead it's filled with the joy of finding a piece of puzzle that can help him advance in his path.

Meanwhile in the cafeteria.

"Excuse me, are you two new here?"

Eric looked at the two beast people in front of him who were devouring food from the moment the cafeteria opened till now.

Rather the whole atmosphere in this place is strange because of the two, all the tables are filled with the staff of this place, they all looked at the two who were devouring food like a starving ghosts.

Leontes burped and looked at the kid who appeared out of nowhere.

"We're indeed new, why? Is there something wrong?"

Eric was embarrassed by this question, it's not that there is something wrong, the whole situation is wrong.

Who can keep eating for more than half an hour without a pause.

"Err, no, i just wanted to say hi, and see if you need something by the way"

Remembering Pers words, Eric pretended that nothing happened and answered normally.

"Hmm, something we need huh? Oh right, there is indeed something"

Leontes didn't stop his hand for a moment, because it was written in the rules that you can eat as much as you can, from 5 AM to 7 AM, so the two of them decided to exploit this obvious bug.

So Leontes looked at Lyceus who was obviously lost in thoughts yet still stuffing his mouth with food, and gestured to Eric with his free hand.

"If you can do me a favor"

After Rei finished the stuff at this hand, he decided to go to the cafeteria and grab a juice or something.

However, the moment he stepped inside, what he saw shocked him.

"Drink, Drink, Drink"

A bunch of people surrounded a table, there is two people in sitting in the table, well one person and one wolf.

People were cheering for them to continue drinking.

"Hahahaha, i won again"

Lyceus raised the large wooden cup while laughing.

Leontes and Eric were clapping from the side, followed by a cheer from the other audience.

Seeing this, Rei's eyes were burning with anger, especially his red eyes, which now look more bloody.

"What's going on here? Care to explain"

He suppressed his anger and asked in a cold tone, which immediately scared the people watching the fun, all of them said goodbye and left one by one, until into the three remains there.

"ERIC, LEONTES, LYCEUS, the three of you, explain yourself, otherwise it won't end well for you"

All of them were nervous hearing Rei's tone, it seems that he's really angry, especially Eric, he clearly remembers the last time he angered Rei, it was so scary that he simply lost the memories of that day.

"Now, care to explain this farce?"

A creepy smile appeared on Rei's face, waiting for their answer.
