Prologue - Lucks the Legend Fighter

With his hands in his pockets, Lucks grinned.

The guys who surrounded him took in the sight of the legend.

He was a young teen. Wavy black hair, with one eye black, and the other being amber. Somewhere in his teens, he wore a black sweater with the words "Grey Animals" engraved on the back. At a glance, there was this cocky aura that they could all get a strong feel of.

It was somewhat akin to looking at something that wasn't right. Not to say it was wrong, no it sorta made sense he existed. Like a child lifting up a car, while sure, you could imagine something like that happening, it wouldn't seem real in person.

Lucks was someone like that. At least, at this time. Most nearly any form of restraint was gone on his part and he let his presence out.

With a finger, he gestured for them to come at him. "Bring it on boys!"

At his provocation, the crowd rained upon him. A massive blast of energy fired through towards him. Ducking the blow before it'd even manifested, he had already closed the distance between the guy who'd thrown that beam. With a rising kick, he shot them into the air, and jumped, kicking them back into the group. As they flailed through the air, they released a massive sporadic beam that couldn't keep a consistent path, which ended up taking out a large number.

Landing on the ground, Lucks smirked as he avoided a sudden flying kick from the right.

Tilting his head forward as he dodged the hit, he turned around to look at his attacker. Some girl. Her ability seemed to be something to do with crazy bursts of speed. Sidestepping before she even moved, she ended up sailing right past him, slamming into a random guy.

Taking a glance around, he ducked close and far-ranged hits from left and right. He was absurdly elusive.

Hitting a dude, when they fell on their ass, Lucks looked down at em noticing something odd. "Hmm?"

A strong red hue was being emitted, as fire then erupted from them in a massive plume of flames.

Jumping out of the heat and smoke, he patted himself down with a nonchalant expression.

As the explosion subsided, the man laid there unconscious. Seemed to have burned himself out? Lucks chuckled.

Slowly dismantling the crowd as he walked through them all, he sat on a pile of bodies with a smile.

Lifting up his sleeve a little he looked at the watch on his wrist. It was a cheap inexpensive analog watch given to him ages back. It had a bunch of deep jagged cracks in the glass and for some reason, seemed to only work during important occasions. Supposedly it was a magic watch that'd tell someone not the time, but if the moment was at hand. Lucks didn't believe it did, or at least, he never had enough belief in it to put it to active use. In fact, half the time, he actively ignored it. "Ayyy. You're here pretty early huh?

"My guy, it's six pm." It was a short short-haired brunette kid. Had a very bored expression that really displayed the idea of how much they didn't care. Notably, they had bright yellow eyes.

"Well. I'm stuck in the past. So I say it's actually six am." Lucks got up, stretching out a bit, readying himself up. "I took care of these guys pretty easily ya know? I doubt you'll be much of a better fight."

"Well. That's why I got this guy."

"Hmm? What do ya mean guy? It's gu-"

Crossing his arms, he blocked the impact of a giant's underhand punch. Flying through the air and spinning around, he caught himself on the ground with a couple of light steps, Upon getting his footing back, he looked at the giant who'd suddenly appeared. Brunette, yellow eyes, same irritated bored expression. Oh, it was the kid?

Right now, they were frankly, large as hell. Standing at something like fifteen feet, their arms were also proportioned for striking, as in, while they weren't overly long to make him look weirdly proportioned, they were pretty fucking long. Plus they seemed to have spawned a ton of muscle. Their hands were big enough to basically enclose a person's head. Licking his lips a bit, Lucks readjusted himself, taking a loose stance, "So is your ability like body manipulation or?"

Kicking straight, the giant's legs reached his head with no effort. Blocking the kick of their massive legs, Lucks' feet dug into the ground from the force.

They were fast. Albeit, would probably lose to some of the people from the crowd. So nothing special.

Pushing them back, Lucks jumped into the air to kick em in the head, only to have kicked nothing. They had shrunk. Fourteen feet in the air, Lucks looked down and saw massive hands trying to grab him.

Stepping on the fingers and hopping away from their grasp, Lucks whistled, "Where's the others?"

Landing on the ground, he noticed an orange milky-colored bubble floating behind him. It popped and it enveloped him in an explosion.

Rolling out of the smoke, he dropped his sweater,. Two stood in front of him. The kid was no longer giant nor shrunk. Instead of being the height of a toddler, they had seemed to have taken a more adult-ish form, standing at a taller height of something around five eleven or so. Standing next to him, was a similarly tall young man, albeit a bit taller. They had a lanky build, wearing a brown suit and tie, and what seemed to be a detective cap to Lucks. They had bright orange eyes and dark black hair.

Alright. So yellow eyed brown hair kid and orange eyed black hair kid. What a duo indeed.

"Alright. Well, now we have guys plural, but where's the third guy?"

There was this something in the air. Lucks breathed in and he could really feel that something was coming.

A big presence. Unlike his, which was the result of him just letting his ego loose and allowing everyone to notice him, this was the result of them letting everyone know the threat they were.

He finally understood why they said guy and not guys. It was because this person was gonna be the only one who'd actually be fighting him. Maybe the two would try and attack him after, but he was basically the main plan.

Behind him, walking over a couple of bodies was a man wearing a leather coat. A scar ran across his neck. His eyes looked cold, but there seemed to be flames within them. Lucks always wondered what the deal with that was. All these people were all... sorta odd. So dissatisfied. He thought they were even greedier than he was. Well, whatever, it's not like he of all people could truly judge. Less selfish or more selfish, he was still a greedy guy.

Breathing out smoke, the teen looked at Lucks. "Want a cigarette?"

It was something of a sign of respect, one they only offered to the strong. Indeed, they didn't hold too many people in very high regard at all. He was one of the different ones though. After all, Lucks was strong. Everyone knew that.

"I don't smoke."

"Alright then. Let's begin then?"

They flicked their cigarette at Lucks. It shot through the air towards him at a crazy speed. Catching it, the cigarette exploded in his hand, unable to withstand the force it was launched with.

Lucks' looked at his hands. "Huh."

As the bits of the cigarette fell out his hand, Lucks focused his eyes onto the leathr coat wearing young man.

Taking a stance, he responded, "No point in waiting around I suppose."

Tick. Tick. Tick. The gears withing the watch began whirling to action.

A second. Two seconds. It would stop at the third.

The floor beneath them would give out as leather coat took a step. As Lucks lost his footing, they dashed forward with what would presumably a punch that could end him.

It was a full powered attack. Despite the fact Lucks didn't have a "gift", he knew it'd be stupid to underestimate him, they were a legend after all. Dropping his body to the ground, Lucks' fingers dug into the floor, and he swung his entire body, catching them with a devestating kick to the body.

Rocketing into a wall, their eyes peered out of the darkness of the hole left by their impact. By now, Lucks' expression was stoned as he had seemingly finally got serious. "Try harder if you wanna win. Because I'm going to try to kill you."

In his younger years, Lucks was never much of the underdog. Though, everyone has their moments of exception.
