Arrived to leave

The ride was long, no students knew where we were going. Only the teachers and the bus driver knew. It got to the point I started to get bored. Suddenly the bus halts.

"Are we here?" A random kid asks from the back.

A teacher got up from their seat and went to talk to the driver. They were talking low and quiet and I couldn't hear anything they were saying. I feel a gentle poke on my arm. I turn to see Malory, she pointed towards James who was still looking out the window, we peek out again. We saw a sign that said

"Welcome to Woods-berg"

It's a small remote town 2 hour drive away from our city. It was nice with all the trees and everything. I look around some more and see that we are at a nice cabin, or no. Was it a lodge? I couldn't really tell since I was looking past trees and the two heads of students that sat across the isle from us.

The teacher talking to the driver sat back down, she looked disappointed.

"Another day it is then"

She sat with her arms crossed. The bus driver then proceeded to back off from the side of the road where we had stopped.

The bus turned around and started heading the way we came from. All the students in the bus where passing each other confused glances. The ride was silent until we got to the bridge where James noticed the water.

Malory suddenly grabbed my hand, she grasped it tightly. She gripped my hand like a crab grips someone's finger.

"Malory what's wrong? OW! Loosen your grasp that hurts!"

"Sorry, it's just I don't feel very well, I have a sick feeling in my stomach.." she said this hesitantly, it even caught James attention.

I patted her head.

"It's just a tummy ache, it'll go away" I give her a comforting smile in hopes to cheer her up. But, for the first time she didn't smile, that so bright smile she always has. It was gone.
