Boruto: Road To Becoming The Sword Goddess

"Tch, still not good enough! Reaper's Death Bloom!" Akame's sword strikes create a purple and black blooming flower but then shatters and she falls forward face-first into the dirt.

"Damn it! Damn it! Why can't I do it!?" Akame's Sharingan gains a third tomoe which was seen by Sakura and Sasuke who were hidden nearby.

"Big sis..." Sarada said softly and Akame's gaze became icy as she gazed at Sarada.

"Tch." Akame pats the dust off herself sheathes her sword and jumps over the fence intending to go anywhere except near Sarada.

Sasuke follows after his most troublesome daughter.

"I wish... I wish I had a tenth of the talent of my non-existent father... Maybe if I was better... That day wouldn't have happened... I'm not good enough, I don't think I'll ever be good enough." Akame sighed as she kept kicking the empty soda can down the slum roads.

"How much good have those words of wisdom done for me? maybe the Hokage is just a crazy irresponsible senile old man. And I took him seriously... I spent 8 years trying to live up to an impossible ideal... We all have our limits and our place in this world is defined by them. All that Naruto did was bring me more pain and loneliness. All I got out of it is just a pathetic little sword nobody in the world cares about. How could such a useless and ungifted Shinobi ever hope to defeat Sasuke Uchiha... I guess I've had enough, I'm tired of hanging on to some old man's nonsense! I should just let it go." Akame fell into a pile of trash as she stared blankly up at the sky.

"Power... I want power... No matter the cost..." Akame said with a gaze that started darkening only for her to receive a slap.

"W-what?" Akame covered her cheek and glared at the one-armed man cloaked in shadows.

"I won't let you go down the same path I did. You are powerful enough." Sasuke spoke and his EMS bore holes into Akame.

"You haven't been in my life for what? 11 years? And now you decide to act like a father? Ha... HAHAHAHAHA! I... I do hate you." She glared at him with her Sharingan. She vanished by jumping into the shadows. She fell into a shadow which made Sasuke's eyes widen in surprise.

/// Later at night.

"..." Tsunade Senju dropped TonTon in shock due to seeing a child who reeked of the strongest alcohol playing with a cat who had the look of trying to understand what is happening and where it is.

"Y...You are my friend now... Hic... The failed Uchiha... Paired with a stray cat... We're... Hic... Best buds already...Hic" The girl started singing drunkenly and made the cat dance in several poses and the cat gave her a look of pity. The cat was far from ordinary as it was actually from a summoning land.

"Oh... Hey... I... Hic... Need... A consenting... a...a... Adalthhh that's the word... I'm gonna take this cat off the street... I... Hic... I'ma steal it from the sidewalk." The cat gave a begging look toward the Senju.

Sasuke was contemplating the meaning of life as he heard his child speak about stealing a summoned beast from a sidewalk. Sasuke sighed and dropped from the top of the building gently chopped the back of his daughter's neck and picked her up in a princess carry.

/// Morning

"Ahhh... My head..." Akame gets out of bed and groans and doesn't pay attention to Sasuke and Sakura instead she goes over to the Dojo while stumbling multiple times.

"What do you guys want?" Akame sighed as she practiced her breathing.

Her breathing has become similar to the 8 Gates Technique used by Might Guy, Rock Lee, and Metal Lee. Instead of forcefully opening them her breathing gently lets more chakra move throughout her Chakra Network like strands of energy-boosting her swordsmanship beyond Jonin's level the best part is that due to not blasting them open like the Eight Gates hers has no drawbacks and she can even keep this breathing style operating 24/7 even when she is asleep.

A Target Dummy made of Chakra Metal pops out of the floor with some machinery sounds.

"Itto Shura..." Akame whispered but it was loud enough for Sasuke and Sakura.

"The Seventh Secret Sword... Raiko..." Her movement became eerily similar to the Raikage's teleportation speed.

She appeared and the head made of Chakra Metal fell to the floor with a loud bang and her sword shattered like glass. Due to her Breathing Technique, she didn't fall unconscious like Ikki Kurogane and wasn't weakened at all.

"Tch, need a replacement again." Akame showed a dejected look with sagging shoulders.

Akame dabs her sweat and walks toward her parents.

"If you're going to reprimand me on drinking booze, know I'm already a Genin and can legally drink. Besides... I don't do it often, just when things... Nevermind." Akame sighed as she placed her shattered sword in a display case that showed multiple shattered swords, on one side were the shattered blade fragments which were neatly stacked and the hilts were lined up.

"That's not it. We're concerned." Sakura said as she hugged Akame.

"I know... I'm immature and haven't suffered the same things you two have suffered... I'm a spoiled brat I know... I just... I just want to prove to everyone that even if I don't have any talent I can make up for it with hard work. Sarada was born with everything good while me... I just got the dregs." Akame sighed as she went over to another spare sword and weighed it and observed how straight the blade was from different angles.

"Still, despite that... I won't give up. If those two spandex-wearing morons can do it why can't I?" Akame went through her Shadow Breathing Techniques starting from the 1st form and then up to the last one which she has not managed to complete.

"What is the one you tried?" Sasuke asked as he practiced with his sword as well trying to bond with his daughter.

"Hmph, It's the 19th Form: Reaper's Death Bloom. It theoretically can kill a Kage much like what Might Guy's Technique Night Guy could do except it focuses on breathing and Kenjutsu, due to its difficulty I do not doubt that it can kill someone like a Kage. It's something I have been working on for years... It's not something that can just be learned with talent... Hell, even effort doesn't make it a guarantee that you can learn it." Akame keeps trying to do the final technique and keeps failing but doesn't realize that her father is inwardly praising how much of a genius she is.

Unknown to both of them is this 19th form can kill someone like Ishikki in 1 shot, this is the reason why it is comparable if not more powerful than the Night Guy Technique which is why she keeps failing.

"I wonder how long this peace will last?" Akame sighed sadly.

"What do you mean?" Sasuke asked.

"Humanities truest form is evil... We fight, we kill, we take and get taken from... War is unavoidable, war between nations will happen sooner or later... This peace we are experiencing is temporary. It's not an if it's a when for wars. I just hope I won't live to see it." Akame sighed as she sat down with her back against the wall.

"None of these kids my age... Even Sarada... They don't realize these things. They prance around playing video games and eating junk food without a worry in the world. Not even realizing that maybe twenty years from now we will be fighting in a war much like our parents fought in a war." Akame looked at the ceiling with a sad look.

Sasuke frowned as he knew that this was a real possibility and wondered who instilled these thoughts in his daughter's head. Sasuke wasn't naive like Naruto and knew peace never lasts and the only reason why things are peaceful right now is due to Naruto's overwhelming power that has put the Daimyo's in place not wanting to start a war and piss off Naruto.

"I can't wait to grow up... These hormones are making me irrational. I was much more logical before puberty." Akame frowned and Sasuke chuckled alongside Sakura.
