"Ahh its true there is no place like home. You know Jay sometimes I wish I can live like the commoners. I would like to work hard sometimes instead of letting everyone do the work for us. I know brother has to take care of a whole country but the only thing I do is just sit there read books take care of the kids I mean now that the kids can do stuff themselves, I want to do other things as well. I mean maybe I can be a grief councilor like I have been doing. I can play my Violin for someone do something with my talents. They are being waisted. Other than helping ghosts find peace and visiting the forest to say hi to the animals. Commoners or elves any creature I want to help. I don't want anything in return." "You really thought long and hard about it huh?" "Yes I did." "Well I will tell you being a commoner is pretty hard. You have to find a job whether you hate it or not and it puts food on your table and pay bills. You sometimes have to work and barely see your children depending on the job." "Oh I see and some jobs are dangerous I know that much." "Ok well I think do a trial for 1 month of being a commoner to see what it is like ok? Then when you are free we can try another one and so on.We will give you what they call a part-time job. Tell your brother first." "I know. I knew I loved you Jay." "I know I love you too." "Oh hey brother I was actually looking for you. Are you on break right now?" "Yeah you need something sis?" "I need to talk to you about something important." "Ok sure lets go."

"SO what is it? Is everything ok?" "Yes its fine. I told jay since I was little that I wanted to see what commoners do. So we decided if I took a month trial to see what it was like. He wanted to start me off as something called a part time job. Also when I was free we can set up other jobs just to see what others go through. To see if we can help." "Oh I see. I think that would be perfect. Then we can see what we can do to help." "Thank you brother. I knew I can count on you. Hey where are the twins?" "Oh they are running around with their personal knights somewhere." "Ok then I won't be leaving today or for a few days though. It has been 1 month now I want to visit Arion." "Oh ok tell the little guy hi for me." "Hehe I will." Then I left the office and found Jay. "Ok Jay I will be visiting Arion today are you sure you don't want to come?" "Yeah not today mom is coming over." "Oh tell her I say hi. If the kids do as well say hi for me." "I will."

I got on shimmer and we headed for the village. I stopped by mom's house first. "Hello mom." "Oh welcome. Back." It was just her now. Her mother died 3 years ago. "Hi how have you been?" "Can't complain. Have you seen Arion lately?" "Yes actually he should be off work shortly. You know where the practice room is right? For healing?" "Yes I have an idea." "Ok have fun." "Thanks mom." Then I left and hid beside the building.

Once I heard I'll see you tomorrow and heard the foot steps, I said, "If it isn't my little boy." He looked around for a minute and finally saw me. "Mom?" "Hello Kiddo come here." "Mom!" He came running and hugged me tight. "Hey how are you doing?" "I'm fine mom. How about dad and the others?" "They are all fine. your brother and sister give your father and the knights a run for their money." "I bet they do. Oh I told my friends that if you came to visit I would introduce you. Let me see if they are still here." He went inside and luckily still there. "Hey guys my mom is here. I want to introduce you." "Oh sure man." They all came out and said, "Everyone this is my mom Princess Talia. They like to call her the Snow princess." "Nice to meet you your highness." They all bowed. "Oh rise no need for formalities. Thank you for being my son's friend." "No your highness we should be thanking him. He was our study buddy before we became friends. He has helped us out a lot. He is actually the top of the class." I saw Arion scratch the back of his head in embarrassment. "Hehe its ok Arion. I'm proud of you. Next time I will bring your dad and siblings." "Don't bring the siblings please. Then we walked to the park and sat down to talk.

"So I recently made a plan for myself. Remember when I told you kids my dream to see what the commoners do?" "Yeah what about it?" "Well I talked to your father." Then I told him what Jay and I discussed. "I see. I hope it goes well mom." "Thanks Arion. So do you still feel like coming home?" "I mean I have friends now but I still want to go home. I have 5 more months right?" "Yes I'm sure you will get used to it. When I was little I did a trial on something I didn't like. I was given hmm. Lets say 2 or 3 months. Then I started to like it towards the middle. You get used to something after so long then you stick with it." "I see can you tell me what it was mom?" "Hmm. Well believe it or not it was playing instruments. I was interested in art like Aunt Azura I liked it because she did. Then when it was my turn to pick an instrument I didn't want to but I had no choice. I randomly picked one out then I had lessons. I loved it. Really relaxing. I see your growing out your hair." "This oh yeah my buddies seem to think I look good with it but it gets in the way I'm actually thinking of cutting it." Well I better get back home. OH how is Elsa doing? Is she a big help?" "Yeah actually she is. Mom there is something I need to tell you. Its weird but I can understand animals. Then He saw me off to Shimmer and he saw Arion. "Hey shimmer." "Hey Arion." "You know I can understand animals right?" "Really you can? Awesome maybe we can talk sometime then." "Yeah well see you all again." "You too good luck out there." "Yeah you too."

"Are you ok there Princess?" "Huh? Oh sorry shimmer I'm fine. Now that Arion told me he can talk to animals I am thinking hard that I may be part elf. My grandma could have been or grandpa." "Even if you were would you be able to accept it?" "I would have to I am grateful for the gifts but I would have liked to know a long time ago." Then we had a quiet ride home.

I went inside the palace and bowed to mom and dad then greeted them. "Your majesties I have returned." "Arise daughter." Said father. "I actually have something important to ask you both privately if you don't mind?" "Sure lets go."

We went to the parlor and I went straight to it. "Father mother after I went to visit Arion he mentioned he can talk to animals now." They were both shocked. "Wow good for him." Said dad. "Yeah and I realize some elves can too and they are rare now a days they are very few." I saw mom and dads faces with worry. "I was thinking maybe I had a grandfather or grandmother that was once an elf." "There it is." Said father. "I knew this question would come up one day. I'll tell her honey since I'm the one she got it from." "Ok sure." "Honey to tell you the truth your mother is not your birth mother. She is however your elder sisters mother. She had her when I met her. Your little brother is our birth child though." "I see and where is my birth mother? Is she an elf too?" "Well my mother was half elf since she wanted to keep us having elves in the family I had to give birth to at least a half elf if not full. My mother gave me an arranged marriage. If you want to meet her, she lives in the elf village as far as I knew and her name is Eve if you would like to know. Just know if you ever need me or your mom we are here for you." "Thank you father. Mom no matter what happens You will always be my mom you raised me like your own. Thank you." Then I gave her a hug and dad as well. "Ok well father do you have an address for her?" "Yes this is the last known address I have for her." "Ok thanks I'll visit her when I am done with my job stuff."

I went to the garden to think. I found my bench and sat on it. "Sigh. Why didn't they tell me? Its so frustrating now. Arrrgh" "Woah hey you ok there mom?" said Kida. "Oh sorry didn't mean to scare you." "Its ok." "So Kida, I heard you want to see if you can date an elf?" "Yeah. They are gorgeous you know. As for Orion he is gorgeous as well the girl who gets to marry him is lucky." "Speaking of elves, when are you and your brother free? I have something to tell you all." "Oh I am free anytime since I don't have a boyfriend yet. Oh yeah I have something to show you. For the first time they are having a camp for humans and elves to join. Can I go please? It will be my chance to meet an elf boyfriend." "Haha so that's why you want to go. Have you talked with your father about it?" "No but I thought you could maybe talk to dad so I can go." "I see I'll give it a look so it's the end of next month that's good. Ok I'll talk to him. Go have fun now." "Thanks mom. You sure you are ok?" "Yeah I'm find Kida thanks." Once she was gone I said, "Sigh teenagers." Then I heard a laugh from somewhere. "Oh Jay." "Hello my beautiful wife. Is something on your mind?" "Well you can say that." Then I told him what I found out. "I see are you sure you want to go see her?" "Well I'm so out of it now I think I might have to postpone the job thing now. I have stuff on my mind and it will interfere with my work." "That's fine. So would you like me to with you to see her?" "Yes I think so. Its my first time. I'm a little nervous." "Ok when do you want to see her?" "Well maybe tomorrow." "Ok sure."

The next day Jay and I got on our horses and were off after saying goodbye to everyone. We finally go there and asked around where she might be. They pointed in the direction and described her house. Then we thanked them and headed that way.

We finally got to the house they described and saw a woman who was probably my mother watering plants. We got down from our horses and waited for the lady to come to us. "Hello can I help you two?" "Your Eve right?" "Yes I am. Who might you be young lady?" "I know this might sound strange but I am your daughter. My name is Talia." "I see you came looking for me after all. He did say one day you will look for me. Sigh. Ok come on in. Make yourselves at home."

"So that old man told you about me huh?" "Yes he did. I just came because I wanted to see what you looked like and to tell you I don't blame any one of you. Father told me you might worry about if I blamed any of you are not." "Well thank you. That's a big relief." "Oh sorry this is my husband Jay." "Hello there lad." "Hello Uh?" "Oh just call me Eve." "OK Eve." "Oh I also have 3 kids. One is a godchild I raised and I had a boy and girl twin. The boy is Adrian Asher and the girl Kida. They are 16 years old and my Godson you probably heard of is Arion." "Oh so that kid is your Godson. Handsome young lad." "Yes he is. I just wanted to know is it true that you are half elf?" "Yes its true. My mother is elf. Father human." "I see well I heard about the camp and my daughter wanted to come to it she said she wanted an elf boyfriend. I told her I would talk to her father about it. I haven't had the chance to yet. I wanted to let the kids know my orgins before we did the camp." "I see. I take it your husband is human?" "Yes full human." "I see well I had you at 16 so I am 51 years old now. I know I look in my 30's or 40's but that's just how some elves are. I guess I took after my mom so she says." "SO Eve I have wanting to ask you something since dad won't tell me. Why didn't dad tell me what I really was?" "Oh that is on me. I told him not to tell you unless you asked. I didn't want you to end up wanting to live here and be forced into an arranged marriage. I can see the elf you Talia. Not the ears but the eyes. Beautiful." "Thank you. Do I have any half siblings or step dad anywhere?" "Oh Excuse me yes. After your father and I divorced I went back to the man I loved. He is at work now. We have two kids boys not twins. They are 25 years old. They are at work as well. They actually should be off soon if you'd like to meet them and my husband?" "Sure I'd love too." "Ok let me get lunch ready." "May I help?" "Sure if you want to." "Hey Talia I'm going to go find Arion and surprise him." "Yeah ok sure. Don't be too late. Have him come by the house." "Ok sure." "I hope that's ok eve." "Sure why not. It was finally time for them to end work. Then he saw Arion. "Hello son." "Dad! What are you doing here?" He ran to give his dad a hug. "Nothing much just visiting Eve. Your mother and Eve want you to come by the house for lunch." "Ok sure." "OK see you all later. I'll call you later?" "Yeah I'd love that." Said the girl. Jay smiled. "So dad how do you know Eve?" "Oh I'll let your mother discuss that."
