Accident

Shishiro's POV.

"I'm gonna go to the library you guys go on ahead" Shin said as he went to the library.

Me and Makoto went over to the cafeteria together and when we arrived the cafeteria was already so crowded.

"People really like hanging out in this place" Makoto said while looking around.

"Well the bread here is really delicious" I said "Speaking of bread would you like some? I can buy you one if you like" I offered.

"Sure sorry for the trouble" She accepted "Anpan right?" I asked and she nodded.

I bought an Anpan for Makoto and some Choco pan for myself.

I handed over the bread to Makoto and we both took a seat together and enjoyed our bread. "By the way Makoto, why do you like Anpan so much?" I asked.

"Oh I just like the paste a lot it tastes so good" She replied.

"I never tasted it before, is it really that good?" I was curious.

"Oh you won't regret it here, have a taste ahh~" She held out the bread towards me.

I took a bite and the taste was surprisingly very good "Ohh the paste tastes unique and hasn't tasted anything like this before" I said.

"Right? I am actually surprised that you haven't eaten this before" She said.

"I rarely eat bread hahaha even if i do i only eat chocolate bread cause i really like chocolate" I replied.

We enjoyed the rest of the bread and decided to get out of the cafeteria.

"Say where do you wanna go now? We have nothing to do anyway" Makoto asked.

"Hmm how about the rooftop? I haven't been to that part of school before have you?" I asked.

"I have from time to time the view is really beautiful sometimes even in cloudy weather. I go up there to take pictures sometimes though it's hard to sneak my camera in. The guard is really persistent hahaha" She said.

"Why not join the photography club? That way you can bring your camera anytime" I asked.

"With my current reputation? They won't even stare at me and I can ask you the same thing why don't you join any club? Like the music club for example" She asked back.

"I uhh don't like being busy and as you know i'm not good with strangers, it even took me a while to get to know you guys right?" I said.

"I guess you are right c'mon let's go to the rooftop i'll show you the views" She said as she took my hand and took me to the roof.

We arrived at the roof of the school and just like Makoto said the view is amazing as if the entire city shrinks under the sunny sky.

"Woah everything looks so small i can see everything" I said amazed by the view.

"Right? Sights like this is the reason why i like traveling and the reason why i want to be a journalist so i can travel all over the place and cover exciting news but i have been thinking about it though i want to be a journalist just because i want to travel i have been thinking i want to be useful for someone so i have took being a doctor to a consideration" She said.

"Wow that's a surprise, never thought you would want to be a doctor" I said.

"Yeah hahaha I have been thinking about it a lot. I do love the subject and i have been studying it myself so who knows i do want to be useful for others besides i can still travel if i want to" She said.

I only smiled as we enjoyed the view with Makoto, to be honest i haven't thought about it before we are in the state of we need to think about our future and take responsibility for our own future.

After enjoying the view we decided to go back to the classroom.

"By the way i wonder what Shin is doing right now" I said.

"He is probably with his sister or Mio" Makoto said.

We arrived at the classroom and just chatted about random stuff to pass the time.

Ring ring ring ring.

Suddenly my phone rang and I was never prepared for what I was about to hear.

"Hello?" I answered the call "This is doctor Mikhail. Am I speaking with Miss Mosaic Shishiro?" A man that claims to be a doctor asked.

"Yes, that's me, how can I help you?" I replied and asked back.

"It is regarding your mother" He said with a slight hesitated tone.

"Yes, what is it?" I was curious.

"I" He let out a sigh "I have some bad news your mother got into a car accident and is being treated at the hospital right now" He said.

My mind went completely blank for a moment "Y-you-re joking right?" I asked worried.

He did not answer "It would be better for you to come to the hospital and see for yourself" He said as he closed the call.

I am in complete shock. I dropped my phone "Hey Shishi what's wrong?" Makoto asked me worried.

I dropped on my knees and started to cry "M-my mom got into a car accident" I said.

Makoto didn't say a word and just stood there silent letting me cry as Ai and Shin came in the room.

She explained what happened to both of them and Ai immediately hugged me to comfort me.

"Shishi, get yourself together, we need to go to the hospital" Shin said as I gathered all my remaining strength to get up.

We all rushed towards the hospital along the way. Makoto contacted Ryuji and Naoto and they said they will catch up.

When we arrived there were a lot of reporters there asking one question after another and preventing us from going inside.

"Hey get out of the way!" Makoto yelled.

"Who do you think you are we're trying to work here!" One of the reporters said.

"Is your job separating a dying mother with their daughter if so you guys are doing a great job" Makoto said sarcastically.

The reporters suddenly stepped back and let us go through.

We asked the receptionist where they put my mother in and rushed towards the room given.

I hesitated to enter but I gathered the courage to open the door and saw my mother laying down on top of the bed and the doctor standing beside her.

Suddenly my father came from behind us "Lumi! Where is my wife!" He yelled as he came into the room.

"Father what are you doing here you are still sick you should be resting" I said worried.

"That is not important, doctor how is she?" He asked.

"Miss Lumi has gone through a crisis so she should be fine although she won't be waking up anytime soon" The doctor explained.

My father walked towards my mother and looked at her weak body "How did this happen to you?" He said.

"It appears that she was driving home from work but her car got run over by someone that is drunk driving and resolved into an accident" He said.

"The man responsible is already taken into custody and is arrested" He said again.

My father said down next to my mom and started crying.

All we can do is stand there and hope that my mother will be better soon.

"Shishiro you should go home you have exams coming up l'll take care of your mother don't worry" He said.

"But I need to take care of my mother too" I said.

"Listen to me, Shishiro , I need some time alone" He said.

I have no other choice but to obey and leave the hospital.

The other decided to accompany me home, along the way we stopped by at a shrine.

All of us prayed for my mother's health after we were done praying. I once again fell on my knees and cried once again.

This time Ryuji is the one that hugged me "It will be okay Shishi don't worry we just have to wait she will be fine trust me" He said trying to comfort me.

Despite he's words I can't help but to cry even more. We stayed like that for a while.

I finally arrived at my home. I said my goodbyes to my friends and headed to my room and stared blankly into the walls with eyes full of tears.

And so without me realizing the day ended.

Life is full of unexpected experience

One day you might be smiling

and starts crying the next.

You might say "Hi" to someone

You might also say "Good bye" to someone

You can't always get what you want in life

But you can still work for it.

You might be left in despair

But remember Hope still exist

And remember even if happiness forget you for a bit

You must not forget about happiness.

Nobody can judge you for being sad

Because tears is a sign that you care

And it is a sign that you are a human.
