A Date With Naoto

Makoto's POV

After we got home from school I went straight home. When I entered my house like usual my sister was sitting on the couch in the living room with her laptop.

"Sis, I'm home~" I said.

"Welcome back Makoto good job on finishing the exam week, How did it go?" She replied.

"Thanks, it was terrible. I bet my scores will be very low" I said, having no hopes in my score.

"Oh c'mon have some more confidence Makoto your big sister right here never got a high score when i was in highschool yet look at me now hehehe" She said with a smug.

"A grown girl with panda eyes and no rest whatsoever? Yeah no" I thought to myself "I don't think that is something you should be proud of" I said.

"Hahaha all I'm saying is, it's okay to have a low score, as long as you don't fail because nobody is perfect. Besides, I don't have the right to be mad at you cause I've been there countless times" She said.

"I wonder what mom and dad's reaction will be when they see both of us right now hahaha" I said.

"Hahaha they are going to be furious" She said.

"Ugh I'm starving, what's for lunch Makoto?" She asked.

"Hmm I don't know, I'll see what I can make hold on, let me change first" I said then I went to my room to change and went to the kitchen.

"Hmm let see" I opened the fridge and looked at the available ingredients.

"Hmm looks like I have enough for some karaage and salads. I think for lunch having karaage is better and salad for dinner?" I thought to myself "Say sis! Do you want karaage or salad for lunch?" I asked.

"I say karaage. I'm in the mood for some chicken right now if it's okay with you?" She replied.

"Sure thing how would you like the sauce to be like?" I asked again.

"Extra spicy hahaha" She replied "On it" I said.

After a few minutes the karaage was finally done and I set it up on the dining table while my sister took the plates .

"Okay sis enjoy" I said.

She took the karage and dipped it into the sauce and took a bite out of it "So? Does it taste good? How's the sauce?" I was curious about her opinion.

"It's really good. You can really taste the spice in the karaage and the sauce's spiciness is very balanced. It's not too spicy but it is at the same time" She replied.

"Great!" I said and we enjoyed the rest of our lunch together, after we were done my sister helped me with the dishes.

After we finished washing the dishes we both sat down on the couch and I watched TV while my sister was working.

"So sis i never asked before but as a writer how much do you earn?" I asked.

"Currently? About 600.000yen a month i think it kinda depends" She said.

"Is that a lot?" I asked "For just 2 people like us? I'll say it's enough" She said.

"Oh okay" I said "By the way what's your plan for today are you going out?" She asked.

"Umm... Oh yeah I'm going to go out with Naoto today" I replied.

"Naoto? Oh you mean your boyfriend? Where are you both going?" She asked again.

"Oh you know here and there just to freshen up after a whole week of exams and not being able to meet each other" I replied.

"Well just remember to be home before dinner okay?" She said.

"Of course don't worry" I said.

Knock Knock Knock.

"Oh that's probably him bye sis" I said while rushing to the door.

"Be careful!" She said "Goddammit your sister already have a boyfriend and look at yourself a famous shut in" She thought to herself "Maybe i should try going out from time to time"

I opened the door and saw Naoto wearing a blue hoodie "Hey Makoto ready to go?" He asked and I replied with a nod.

"Great c'mon let's go" He said while taking my hand and we both went on a walk together.

"So where are we going today?" I asked.

"Nowhere special you know just here and there to freshen up" He replied.

"Why do i get a deja vu feeling?" I thought to myself.

Naoto took me to a sakura park. The trees haven't bloomed yet but the air around the park feels so refreshing.

We both sat down at a bench and spent some time talking with each other for a while.

And then I saw someone selling ice cream near where we sat. "Say Makoto wants some ice cream?" Naoto asked.

"Can I really?" I hesitated.

"Sure wait right here" Naoto said and walked towards the ice cream seller and came back with an ice cream.

"Here ya go" He handed me a strawberry flavored ice cream.

"Strawberry! How did you know this is my favorite?" I asked while enjoying the ice cream.

"Hahaha I had a feeling you would like it" He replied.

As i was eating the ice cream i noticed Naoto didn't buy one for himself "How about you Naoto? Where's yours?" I asked.

"Ohh it's okay i don't need one" He replied.

"Oh that's no good, want a bite?" I offered.

"I-it's okay" He said.

"I insist" I shoved the ice cream in his mouth.

Naoto took a bite out of the ice cream "It's good right?" I asked and he nodded with a blush.

"Hahahaha what are you blushing for? We are dating if you are embarrassed by something like this how are you going to handle something like-" I kissed his cheek "This?"

His face became more red and I couldn't help but laugh at him "Hey c'mon anyone would be embarrassed if you do that so suddenly!" Naoto said frustrated.

"Okay okay i'm sorr-Hmph" Suddenly Naoto kissed me.

"See? Even you got embarrassed" He said as my face got red.

"Naoto you stupid! I kissed you on the cheek!" I shouted while hitting his shoulder.

"Okay okay i'm sorry keep your voice down we are in public" He said then i stopped "Stupid" I said.

"Hey c'mon it's not my fault" He let out a sigh "C'mon let's go somewhere fun to cheer you up" He said standing up.

"Where?" I asked "Why the arcade of course" He said with a smile.

He took me to an arcade. "Woah it's been a while since i've been to an arcade before think you can beat me in this games?" I said.

"Looks like you got your spirits up already cmon i accept your challenge don't come crying to me if you lose" He said.

"Hah! Shouldn't you be saying that to yourself? I'll make you kneel down before me" I said.

We go around the arcade playing all kinds of games "Yes i won! One score for me haha" I said after scoring in air hockey.

"Don't celebrate just yet we are tied remember?" He said.

"Then how should we settle the score?" I asked.

"Well we haven't played basketball yet , wanna do that one?" He asked.

"But i'm terrible at that" I said "Exactly" He said dragging me to the basketball machine.

"Okay whoever shoots the most score wins" He said and I nodded.

After a few throws the game ended with me being the winner "You said you were terrible at it?!" He shouted.

"Well just because i said i was terrible doesn't mean i am actually terrible hahahah" I laughed "I've been shooting hoops ever since i was in 6 grade" I said.

"Cheater!" He complains "Yeah yeah that's what all the loser says hahahah" I said.

"Naoto? Makoto?" A girl's voice called out to us.

"Shishiro,Ryuji? What are you both doing here?" I asked.
