The morning after

Julian woke up early, his mind still reeling from the events of the previous night. He had surprised himself by comforting Emily, holding her close and kissing her hair. It was a side of himself he hadn't known existed, and it left him feeling perplexed.

As he got ready for work, he couldn't help but think about the unexpected turn of events. He had always been a man of logic and reason, not one to show emotional weakness. But there was something about Emily's tears that had broken down his walls.

He finished dressing and made his way to the kitchen, his driver and PA already waiting for him. His PA, John, stood outside the door, hesitating whether to inform his boss of his arrival or not.

"Good morning, sir," John finally said, opening the door. "Your car is ready."

Julian nodded, his mind still preoccupied with thoughts of Emily. He couldn't believe he had been able to console her the way he had. It was a foreign feeling, one he wasn't sure he was comfortable with.

As he made his way to the car, his driver, James, greeted him with a nod. "Good morning, sir. The office is already buzzing with activity. You have a meeting with the board of directors at 9 am."

Julian nodded, his mind shifting gears. He was the CEO of the most powerful company in the industry, and he couldn't afford to show any weakness. He took a deep breath, pushing aside thoughts of Emily and focusing on the day ahead.

As the car pulled out of the driveway, Julian gazed out the window, his thoughts already turning to the challenges of the day. He was a man of action, a leader, and he wouldn't let anything get in the way of his success. Not even his own unexpected emotions.
