Chapter 27 : Left Foot?

*Fweeeeeeeeeeeet*

The second half began, and Team Z had the ball as they kicked off.

Naruhaya received the ball on the left from Kira. Like everyone on Team Z, he also had the purpose of scoring, which they pursued to follow. He dribbled for a while as he came face-to-face with Zantetsu.

Naruhaya could see the urgency in Zantetsu's movements to get the ball. He knew he couldn't stand a chance against him, so he passed the ball to his right and ran forward to receive it.

He performed a one-two with Isagi. He had a wide grin on his face. He was part of the offense more often than he could normally do and had support as well whenever needed. This feeling of having reassurance in a Match was a great feeling. Knowing that the opponents could be passed by with ease by simple teamwork and skills was a great feeling.

However, It can also be the worst mindset and make you put your guard down, That is exactly what happened with Naruhaya as he was happy about getting past Zantetsu, but He forgot about Zantetsu's main weapon.

Zantetsu used his acceleration and caught up with Naruhaya quickly and stole the ball right away, Isagi saw Naruhaya's confident way of running and Zantetsu's run but did not warn Naruhaya.

He ran ahead instead and trapped the loose ball while colliding his back with Reo who also came for the loose ball, Isagi though read it faster.

Reo judgment wasn't slow but he didn't notice Naruhaya's reckless way of dribbling while Isagi did, Reo came only after seeing Zantetsu make a run. 

Isagi did not hold the ball for any longer than needed and passed it on to the left side of the pitch, As the ball traveled it bounced on the ground and a leg came sprinting and picked it up, It was Chigiri receiving the ball, He trapped it and started his run right away. 

However his run couldn't last long since Nagi arrived right in front of him, Chigiri wanted to run past Nagi but saw Isagi eyeing him on his right while running towards Team V's defense.

Chigiri made his move as he sent a low-driven pass to Isagi's feet and ran past Nagi to reach Team V's box in the hope of forcing Isagi to pass the ball to him.

He wanted to score, He realized now that in Blue Lock, He was supposed to score instead of playing team plays but Isagi molded them into a team, They were in his control but now Isagi himself made them remember what they were supposed to do in Blue Lock, How you survive in Blue Lock is now laid in front of them by Isagi which they seemed to ignore for a quite a long time but now they understood why Isagi tried to keep them in a teamplay till this match and didn't let anyone go reckless.

15 Minutes ago during Half-time

In Team Z's locker room, Everybody was excited since Usagi's declaration of going for his glory instead of Passing away Goal-Scoring opportunities, It didn't seem like a brag to any of them since they already had witnessed Isagi's accuracy with and without curve, It was perfect and he could do it with more power as well.

This was his weapon of scoring at its finest which didn't use and let others take chances with his other weapon, Passing in the most threatening locations.

"If we play like you're saying, Then won't our defense be weaker than ever, And we might end up like Team X, Running around the field like headless chickens"

Iemon asked as he had been thinking how the 2nd half would turn out, He wanted to score but his talent only being his above-average physical strength wasn't enough to get him in goal-scoring situations, He tried to but failed every time.

"Hmm, Then we will keep scoring more goals than them, We are not Defenders or Midfielders.

We are Strikers!

If they score two goals, We will score four and will snatch the ball from them whenever we want to score, We have been playing in an organized manner for the last few matches which gave us the mindset of not losing any scoring opportunities and passing to a Goal Scoring spot, but I say for this last Match.

Isagi instead of passing poured his strength into his left leg and shot the ball to the left-top corner of the Net, The ball with immense force went past everybody, The Goalkeeper of Team V jumped in the direction to stop the ball but had a very low confidence in stopping it.

They knew of Isagi's shooting ability from the footage they had studied but they weren't sure if he could shoot from his left foot as well.

The ball had no curve and only power, Team V and Z's players flinched at the sight of the shot until it reached the top corner.

However to everyone's expectations, It hit the crossbar and the post, The impact made a loud sound but Team V didn't want to wait around and ran for the loose ball.

'So Close!'

Reo and Nagi were even more surprised at Isagi's shooting ability, Though that shock was just for a second as they thought their teammates would get the loose ball.

Naruhaya again jumped in the correct position and kicked the ball inside of the open net, The Goalie who had jumped to save Isagi's previous shot was still on the ground.

"Yeah!!!"

Naruhaya screamed while clutching his fists, He was very happy and surprised as well, He didn't expect Isagi to miss since that had never happened yet, He ran there in hoping of a pass from Isagi or Chigiri in that run but got a gift instead.

Everyone in Team V felt defeated, The talk they had in the halftime fired them up, and were planning on crushing Team Z but it kept getting worse for them.

In the first half, They had to deal with Team Z's strikers but now Isagi also joined the offense, Something they didn't think would happen for this match.

Isagi on the other hand was a little confused, His [Pinpoint Finishing] was a Maxed Level skill and had been working perfectly, There were times when his shot got blocked by Gagamaru but if it weren't for him, They would've gone in, His aim was near wrong 

'Does [Pinpoint Finishing] only work for my Right Foot?'

[Yes]

[It's because your weak foot cannot work well with the [Pinpoint Finishing] Skill, Once your weak foot is good enough, It will work just as well as your Right Foot]
