"What?" asked Hyla as he feigned ignorance.
"I don't know how you did it but it is okay if you don't feel like telling me" said Grey as he sighed "but remember, I've got your back" said Grey as he turned to leave.
"it's not that I don't want to tell you, rather I can't at least for now" said Hyla as he watched him turn around to move.
"It's cool" said Grey.
"are you sure?" asked Hyla.
"Yeah" replied Grey, "Thanks for coming for me" said Grey as he left.
Hyla stood there at the rooftop all alone as he wondered if what he did was right, since he did not tell his cousin about it.
"There's no need to think about it too much" said Blue.
"Yeah" said Hyla in a low voice.
"Knowing your cousin, he would never do something that would put you in danger, I actually feel he is trustworthy" said Blue as he puffed smoke, "The time is just not right for now" he said as he shook his head.
"When is the right time going to come?" wondered Hyla as he stood under the open sky in a daze.
…
Two days later,
"Why does coach Michael want to see us?" asked Enri.
"How the hell am I supposed to know?" replied Grey clearly frustrated.
This morning we got a text from Coach Michael, saying he has some important matters to discuss with us and ever since then, Enri has been on edge, Grey and I both don't know why he has been on edge.
"I just hope he does not plan on increasing our training time or make our training even more barbaric" said Enri as he put his palms together to pray.
"Can you not say stuff like that? Now I'm also starting to get scared" said Grey.
"Pull yourselves together and stop whimpering like a bunch of sissies" I said laughing.
"That's easy to say" said Grey.
"But if he increases the training time or decides to do something even more barbaric, I'm out" said Enri.
"Me too!!!" chimed in Grey.
"You guys should know Coach Michael's not going to send us a text just because he wants to talk about increasing our training but he would just do it directly when we meet" I said shaking my head.
The both of them suddenly looked like they were hit with a sudden moment of enlightenment as they began to smile from ear to ear, it was a little creepy seeing their smiling faces at the same time.
"But since he texted us, it must be about something serious" I said in a cool manner as if splashing water on them to wake them out of their daydreaming and let them see reality.
"Yeah, you are right I don't think he would want to talk with about improving our training plan" said Grey, "if that is the case what is so important that he wants to me us" asked Grey.
"Well there's no use worrying about it" Enri said in a nonchalant manner as he grabbed his bag, "We'll find out about it when we see him".
If someone else was to see them he would probably laugh at their level of shamelessness, a moment ago they were both behaving like a bunch of babies and now they suddenly sound courageous and proud.
Saying nothing I picked up my bag as I left the room.
"We'll be late for class" I said.
…
"Damn, it's already the middle of the semester" I said as I realized that despite the alien invasion, I was still very much a student and had to pass my exams. It was not that hard for me to pass the exams but what about Grey and Enri.
With the training and little to no time left for studying it was not easy for Grey and Enri to keep up with the class, I had to constantly make notes after class to help them both with studying even though it was Blue who managed the whole thing, it still was not easy to organize.
"There's a test this morning" said a student as he dashed past us.
"Test??" we said as we looked at each other with a surprise before we pushed it to the back of our minds since we all believed the test was not for us.
"What are you guys doing?" asked Jeffrey as he hurriedly jogged towards us.
"We are headed to class" replied Grey.
"Nope, you're not" said Jeffrey, "if you were, you would be running superfast since we have a test" he said as he laughed.
"Test? What test?" I asked shocked.
"Engineering mathematics by Sir Leo" he said.
"Shit, that test is today?" asked Enri.
The commotion and numerous things that constantly piled up made us all forget about the test.
"Let's go!!" said Enri as he broke into a sprint.
"We'll see you in class" I said as I joined Enri. Grey simply waved his hands as he followed me.
We left Jeffrey eating our dust as we ran to class, our speed was very fast as we all accelerated from zero to a hundred in almost an instant, while Jeffrey just stared at us as we turned into blurry images.
