At 23 years old, Amaya has been through a lot in life. From losing her dad, to a crumbling home which eventually leads to her separation from her family at the age of 14, she somehow makes it. Despite the world seeming to have been against her at such a young age, she found the strength to push through all those years. Join Amaya as she struggles to balance her last year of university alongside two jobs, trying to find true love, friendships and everything else that comes along. “Amaya!!!”

“A wake-up! What happened to you?”

“Ohh my gosh, Jess call an ambulance! She’s not responding”

Hearing Jess and Kerry calling me, I tried my best to open my eyes and move but my body would not coordinate with my mind. After a while, I got tired of trying and let myself slip into unconsciousness again.

*beep beep beep beep*

Hearing an annoying beeping noise, I tried to quickly open my eyes but the lights were near blinding me. Slowly opening them again, I looked around and noticed the IV in my hand, confused at what was happening.

“Ohh my gosh Jess, she’s awake,” I saw Kerry squeal as she run over to my bed and gave me a brief hug, stroking my hair. Picking up an empty hospital cup, she threw it over at Jess, hitting her in the face causing her to spring up quickly.

Before she could say one word she saw me looking at her and started with the dramatics.
