Today was one of the most heart wrenching days of my life .
A day I will never forget , a day when I had to leave the place which grew on me. I stared at the cabin with hot tears lingering in my eyes. I can remember when my father and I would sit around the fireplace with a glass of coffee or hot tea, especially on rainy days, to talk about life and memorable events . Why did he have to die?Why did he have to leave me so unexpectedly without even a goodbye .
His last wish was for me to live with my mother in Sacramento , California . A woman who left us for her supposed career . A woman who I never saw as my mother or wasn't there when I needed her the most in my life , only until the day of my father's burial, she came and smiled at me,which was new to me.
" The car is ready , Ms. Elaine " Old Lucas said he had helped me carry out my luggage .
"Oh... okay "I replied with a deep sigh following the suite. I stared again at my surroundings with a heavy heart ,my eyes lingered at the small corner with seats where I used to write my books. "Goodbye, Home" I said finally , closing the door slowly behind me.

The ride was smooth and quiet as we rode along the road of California with a mixed expression.
How was life going to treat me there ?
Would it be any different?Elaine thought as her mind drifted to her last breakup with Chris.
I hoped and thought that I had finally found my perfect and right man until I realized he was cheating on me with my best friend .
Love was definitely not for me, even when I was in a relationship with Chris I always had a doubtful mind on our relationship so I wasn't surprised he was cheating on me what hurt me the most was that I tried to take our relationship seriously but he ended up breaking my trust with my best friend , Mila.
" How is Sacramento like? " I finally broke the silence which was making me uncomfortable .
"Ms....I really don't know much about Sacramento but I heard it's a wonderful city with friendly people."
Old Lucas said with a casual smile lingering on his rough face.
" You're going to love there, Ms. " He added.
"I hope..." I could only but mutter.
"We're arriving Sacramento" Old Lucas announced. My eyes slowly drifted to the large green billboard with a large uppercase writing surrounding by beautiful overgrown trees which complimented its look.
WELCOME TO SACRAMENTO.
