" Did you say, you failed to kill your cousin Liam?" Ruby asked in a neutral voice which caused Liam to flinch, initially he came to inform Ruby about his failure but before he could say anything the woman had a hateful look on her face and started to torture him

"Y-yes," Liam stuttered, his voice trembling as he attempted to respond to her piercing question

With a forceful smack, Ruby's whip lashed across the boy's chest, leaving behind a deep, agonizing cut upon impact. Liam fought desperately to suppress the excruciating pain, knowing that a cry of anguish would only invite more merciless strikes. Though he managed to stifle most of his anguish, a few tear droplets betrayed his torment, quietly streaming down his cheeks.

"You are more useless than my previous suitors. At least they possessed a modicum of manliness and were heirs to their respective lands. But you, on the other hand, are nothing," Ruby sneered, her words dripping with mockery. Liam's fists clenched in anger, not directed towards Ruby, but at Adam, for it was his survival that had subjected Liam to such torturous treatment.

"Your face annoys me more than my bastard of a father, who manipulates me like a pawn to serve his own ambitions," Ruby spat venomously, her tone laced with resentment towards her father. Yet, she couldn't deny him, for disowning her would expose her to the lecherous desires of the men who hungered for her, and they would pounce on her to get a taste of her seductive body

"Now, tell me everything. How did our cousin survive? Start from the beginning," Ruby commanded, her tone authoritative. Rising from her bed, she delivered a swift kick to Liam's leg, causing him to collapse onto the ground.

"Now explain. What happened?" Ruby commanded her voice firm and demanding.

"Y-yes," Liam stuttered, mustering the courage to recount every detail from his unharmed arrival at the camp to the transformation that had rendered him more handsome. As he spoke, he failed to notice a fleeting gleam of intrigue in Ruby's eyes, though it vanished almost instantly.

"What are your plans, mistress?" Liam inquired, cautiously seeking guidance from Ruby.

"You mentioned that your cousin has become exceptionally handsome, didn't you?" Ruby asked, a mischievous smile gracing her face, sending shivers down his spine. Liam nodded in agreement, unsure of the implications behind her curious expression.

" I will go back with you to your county and seduce your cousin, and then make him my toy who will beg to have sex with me but I will deny it, and later after I am done toying with him, I will end his life," Ruby said with an excited smile as she had done many similar things with her previous suitors, this is the only thing she enjoys while completing the task her father gives her which she does not like to do

" Go and prepare , we shall depart immediately" Ruby said as he delivered a kick to his face , who stood up and quickly disappeared
