In fact, it's the worst book ever written] Michael was a teenager who had lost everything to the war against the vicious Makisis - his entire family, all of his friends (not that he had many to begin with), and his sense of purpose were all gone. Michael stood on the battered rooftop of a skyscraper about 678 meters in height, it had jagged edges and crumbling concrete surrounded him.The rooftop was strewn with broken tiles and shards of glass, it shone dully in the waning light.

Below, the city sprawled in disarray. Half of it was lay in ruins, with buildings leaning precariously, their windows were shattered. Streets were choked with debris.

Weeds emerged defiantly from cracks in the pavement. In the distance, a few structures still stood tall, though their surfaces were grimy and scarred, with remnants of fires that had left their mark. A faint, musty odor lingered, a blend of decay.

Michael's eyes scanned over the horizon, where the jagged skyline met the evening sky. A tattered billboard hung from a nearby wall, its colors had faded. As the sun dipped lower, casting an orange glow over the ruins.
