Observing the practical demonstrations unfolding before him, Max couldn't help but inquire, "Ya can make me a human too?" Although he felt a bit funny asking such a question, it was only natural considering that anyone in his shoes would have done the same thing.
'Yeah, I have to ask, you know...'
"Why do you still think you can't do that by yourself?" The Wizard King's response brought the girls' attention to the conversing duo. "If only you can assist me out of here. And I think you, being a mate to Hazel, can already become a human, at the same time assist me out." He paused. "Hazel, do the talkings."
Max became confused, now looking at his mate. 'So he is being imprisoned. Ooooh, I get it. I can only conclude that helping anyone in freeing him must be a criminal act then. After all, I am fucking clueless about alot of things in this foreign world, therefore I am an easy puppet for them...'
It was like the world literally froze, giving Max's mind some alone time.
'...If not, then why should a damn Princess need a mere Vampire Slave like me to achieve her big dream? If the dream to be achieved needs a Vampire to become her mate, then it shouldn't be me but someone of high class from the Vampires, but if it requires a Vampire Slave, then it has to become any Vampire Slave she could capture because they are rare to be found in Royalty Pack, and I happened to be captured. What to call that? Unlucky?'
Hazel brushed her helix hair away from her left eye to behind her ear. "If you are willing, I'll tell you the way to turn into a human." She sighed a deep, anxious sigh.
'This is my chance to decide smartly. Should I ask what she will gain if I do what she says? What consequences can that have? As a Princess she must be entangled with royal issues, but, but my mom is my priority and this can be the solution to her miserable condition.'
"Am willing. Simple. So, tell me."
"Oh boy! That's my handsome mate." Hazel grinned widely. "Cameron, the old dude who fed you human blood as you briefed under the works of the Truth Mist, was the one to be my mate before I met you."
'I know. Stop the repetition. Why making it sound romantic?' Max clutched his hair in his right fist.
Armless wasn't paying attention to them, looking at her shining arms like they were the beautiful things ever to exist.
"The reason why Cameron was to become my mate is none of your business, pardon me, but I want to become a Luna Queen who doesn't have an Alpha by her side at the same time free the Wizard King from this prison." Haze looked at the red eyes briefly.
"My father was an Imperial Alpha but not anymore. His Alpha wolf is dead and as a result, someone among his one hundred and ninety nine children has to inherit the Dark Throne he left vacant, vacant for his heirs only."
'Was her father a children production machine?'
"Ya father has this many children, what for?" Max had his mouth speaking on its own.
Armless looked up at Hazel. "I can believe it is pure truth. The realms are currently managed by the Imperial Beta and the Imperial Gamma, not the Alpha Emperor. Rumors aside, why did his Alpha Wolf die?" She anticipated a reasonable reply.
"I don't think you need to know because I am the cause. I hereby warn you Armless that no one should know this until it is made public. So slavey," Hazel returned back to Max, "what should worry you is truly the number of children my father has."
"Reason?" Max blurted.
'Am I going to be among the heirs because I am your mate? It is even disgusting to mention that I am your mate. Ridiculous ridicule!'
Hazel answered: "They are our obstacles from inheriting the Dark Throne.'
'Our obstacles, huh? Our, what is our...'
"They were well trained for this moment. They are fighters, they are bloodlust and hungry for power. All of them can be willing to wage war against any race to gain the most powerful position ever, the Dark Throne."
'And as I can see, you are also very hungry for this powerful position.'
Max wondered, "I thought I have nothing to do with this so-called Dark Throne. Or?"
"You and the Dark Throne are the main companion deals, baby boy..."
"Don't call me a baby boy." Max advised.
"Baby boy…"
'Ogh you got to be kidding me.'
"You have a lot to do with the Dark Throne. There's something called the Absolute Law, maybe you heard about it, something not really defining what law is but it governs us anyway. According to it, no slave can become an Imperial Alpha. To punish anyone by any means who tried to do so, the person would become a human."
'Unbelievable! Becoming a human is punishment? What a blessing. And out of your big kingdom, you can't get any slave but me?'
Max pointed out very detailed information: "What kind of a slave actually can inherit this Dark Throne?" He brushed his disheveled hair backwards, this was getting way deeper, the connections were too intertwined as if this was all planned since the beginning of existence.
'Not finding Evelyn but finding a way to turn into a human?'
"Don't be scared because the Absolute Law considers you as a slave that is to be punished if you should become an Alpha, so all Vampire Slaves. Something I don't know why. As my mate, you can inherit the Dark Throne but you would become a human meanwhile I would become a Luna Queen."
"How confident." The Wizard King commented. "Why are you confident in winning the Dark Throne against over a hundred wild rebels?" He asked something he already knew.
Hazel stayed silent before arrogantly saying, "Baby boy is a Vampire Slave. He can't be killed by norms." She smiled deviously at Max that forced him holding his breath for some seconds and more;
He can't be killed was a curse a woman he never knew back then was now trying to use to their advantage;
So there was this day where him not dying by norms would be useful to turning into a human and becoming that Max again;
'Fate always has its ways.'
"I am amazed by your brain, My Princess" Armless commented. "What are your real plans? Why give me arms?" She looked at her new arms shining brightly. They looked fitting.
The red eyes glowed with each word: "You need to leave asap or you become locked in here for life."
Max questioned in a haste: "So to become a human, I would assist you to become a Luna Queen. What brings Armless into the journey?" He sounded excited, maybe not as excited as he was internally. Becoming a human?
'What a dream come true.'
"Baby boy, you are someone I never knew but dragged into this mess as you were helped to penetrate the Royal Castle." Hazel paused to shake her head in amusement. "With whose help? Armless of course. She is a skilled killer. She would become your Lineage Teacher and even before the time, she's your teacher."
'Lineage teacher or Lineage Teacher?'
"You better leave or you remain locked in here. You are sapping my energy!" The Wizard complained like a baby.
Hazel sighed once again. "Armless, your arms would be gone but once Max achieves inheriting the Dark Throne, you would gain them back. Leaving here, we are parting ways for a while. My scent is coming back...."
"Then how can I teach him with no arms?!?" Armless asked a ridiculous question.
Disregarding the fact that the question was so ridiculous, "Because you'll have something better." Hazel answered the frightened beauty. "You will have the power of an Imperial Alpha. Leaving here, make your way to Anyway city and wait for me."
