Blood And Iron (ASOIAF/GoT)

Reincarnation is not bad, says someone who has gone through the process several times, there are only certain occasions that you die at the moment you are born or have a long and boring life as a servant of some noble, the most normal is to reincarnate as the 99%, but when I finally had the opportunity to reincarnate as the center of political power, a European king, fate played a cruel joke on me, sending me to Westeros, the land of treachery and intrigue, luckily I was not transported alone, but sometimes I think it would have been better if I had come alone. Disclaimer: I do not own Game of Thrones or Asoiaf. Disclaimer II:Some stories will feature topics such as torture, rape, sexism and xenophobia. These topics do not represent me, I only seek to give the most historical perspective possible to the social relations of a medieval era. Disclaimer III:I don't speak English, I am in the process of learning, so I will make several grammatical mistakes, any help on the lexicon is accepted, I am not a person so deeply versed in the lore of GoT

POV of Wilhelm

The young Prussian monarch was left to sort out some remaining administrative matters, for the city had provided enormous wealth for its new conqueror, for the Finns had lined their pockets with theft and unlawful acts and were now handing over the fruits of their hard work to their king so that he could distribute it and it could be used for better work than lining the pockets of the scum who ruled flea bottom.

While his lieutenants began to prepare their forces for their respective reasons.

Von Roon saw that his men began the orderly and civilized looting, keeping the people from suffering too much as their property was taken by the fearsome soldiers of the Prussian army, and at the same time Roon had to do his most hated job of dealing with the snivelling merchants.

At the same time all the smiths and their apprentices were mobilized to serve the Prussians smiths in the tedious task of smelting the metals that were piling up outside the forges because the Prussians war effort had not stopped since it had arrived in westeros focusing on keeping the Prussian's army operational.

When the monarch finished preparing his men a few hours after conquering the capital, an army of forty thousand horsemen and twenty thousand foot soldiers began to follow the path Rhaegar had taken to confront Robert.

The Prussian army outnumbered the royalists, but the Prussian leader knew he could not lose men in a stupid way and preferred to wait for the two forces to clash and wear each other down, while he waited for the perfect moment to attack and take the merits of victory by arriving just in time to save the day.

But everything depended on being well positioned when the moment of truth arrived.

Because of this, the Prussian army marched in small groups so as not to raise suspicions of the royalists or the rebels, moving along secondary and little frequented roads to reach their objective without anyone noticing the movement of troops.

During the following days the routine of the Prussians was to march for more than fourteen hours until they managed to reach Rhaegar and from then on, they were dedicated to exploring the terrain to know where to move and not to have future inconveniences.

The monarch dedicated himself to getting used to his new weapon, the Valyrian steel sword, much lighter than most of the weapons he had used and he had to be ready for the moment it was necessary to use his physical abilities, since he knew it was absolutely necessary that his participation in the future battle be remembered by all and to leave in the history books the name of the leader of the Prussians and the martial prowess of his men was quite necessary.

For the fact that the monarch knew that many people would listen to the lies of the septons, but many important people should study history and reading about the Prussian people might lead them to change their opinion about them.

The days continued to pass, and the Prussians managed to get a privileged view of the river from a hill where they had used the terrain to hide their camp, so far, no one knew they were here.

The Prussians prepared their equipment because they knew that tomorrow the two armies would clash with each other.

''So what is the plan for tomorrow,'' asked Duke Helmuth looking at an improvised map of the terrain.

''Wait and be very patient, time here is our best friend, we have no favorites of who wins this fight, if Robert wins we will kill every last royalist survivor so that no one joins the rebel's army, while if Rhaegar wins we will kill every last royalist and we will have to see if Robert lives or not, but we will have full control of the negotiations afterward'' I said to Duke Helmuth

Helmuth smiled and began to nod, and other officers liked the idea of watching the Westerosis fight among themselves.

''But what if ..... Robert were to die during his fight against the royalists?'' asked Helmuth.

''Well Robert has two brothers that we saved when we lifted the tyrell siege, so if he were to lose and die we could choose a king that would be easy for us to manipulate or make deals with him, from what I hear, Stannis is a strong personality, very difficult to control if we were to need to use them I would say better his younger brother and Aleksanteri would make Stannis have a fatal accident'' I said while looking at the map.

''With god's food?'', Helmuth said laughing a bit.

''I don't think we will find poisonous mushrooms for him to eat, we will have to look for a poison that can't be detected or simply ambush him in some activity outside the safety of his inner circle''I said looking at the duke.

''Well, when the combat starts they will be too concentrated to realize that we will be watching from the nearby hills and we will be able to observe how the combat develops, making use of our experience and reading the battlefield, we will determine when it is necessary for us to attack'' I said pointing to the map.

''Then in case Robert loses .....'' I was explaining my plans when a Finnish man entered without his mask and with a scared face

''Antti what happened'', I asked the Finn who looked pale.

Duke Helmuth also stopped smiling and remained concentrated, listening to the Finn's report.

''My king .... .... there are three people who want to talk to you'' said Antti very perplexed.

''Who are they? no one should know that we are here, I chose this place because the terrain is favorable for us so that no one would see us and your men would have it easy to intercept them and drive them away'' I said surprised.

''I am as surprised as you my king, so far, no one had approached us, only a couple of peasants, but we scared them off and they didn't come back, but this time they were three people in plate armor and one claimed to be the Targaryen prince'' said Antti quite worried

''We have a mole, our plan could not have been discovered, we took all the security measures, this can't be happening'' said Helmuth in annoyance

''I doubt that any of our men betrayed us, they would have had to have contact somehow, maybe it was just luck'' I said a bit worried.

'How the fuck did he know we were here, if I have to fight the royalists I will lose a few thousand men, it's unacceptable, but if I retreat the rebels will know we were here'

I started biting my finger, thinking of a solution to our new dilemma.

''Are you sure he's alone'', I said looking at Antti.

''Yes my king alone with two royal guards, no one else we haven't sighted any other men in the vicinity'' said Antti

The duke just stared at me

''If he wants to talk, let him come in'' I said to Antti

Antti came out to provide the information

''Our plan went to hell, we will have to fight ourselves'' said Helmuth while drinking his glass of sweet wine.

'Considering that the rebels have almost forty thousand men considering the Lannister who will surely join the winning side, they will make about sixty thousand men, leaving close enough to my men in the capital I will lose that coin in negotiation'

I remained pensive, running my hands over my eyelids to try to think of something.

Until our guests arrived

I could see the entrance to my tent, the black armor with the Targaryen heraldry and two white armors of the royal guard.

"Sword," Charles said to the Targaryen.

The prince obeyed and took off his sword and handed it to Charles

''Swords'' Charles said again to the royal guards.

''We are Prince Rhaegar's protectors, we will not give up our swords'' said one of the guards.

''Then you do not pass, just like that'' said Charles, blocking the royal guards' way.

''You are not going to stop us from protecting the prince,'' said the other royal guard.

Both guards tried to enter the tent, but Charles put his hands on the breastplate of their armors and pushed them very hard making them fall into the mud.

My knights began to pull out their swords, axes and maces to kill the royal guards.

''Jonothor, Lewyn, obey, we are not here to seek a fight,'' said the Targaryen entering the tent.

The royal guards handed over their swords and entered my tent.

Charles also entered and positioned himself to my right while Duke sat there watching everything.

Prince Targaryen sat in one of the chairs and watched the monarch of the Prussians.

'White hair, violet eyes, good-looking, Valyrian features, must be Rhaegar, lucky I don't have his father's head with me in this tent or he'd find out about the capital.'

''How did you know we were here?'', I asked the Targaryen prince.

''I had a dream, I must be here on this day near sunset, in my dream I saw a dragon hatching from an egg and another one dying'' Rhaegar said in Valyrian with a calm tone.

''This must be a joke, a dream''said Helmuth very furious.

''As far as I can see the rumor that you speak Valyrian was not false'' said Rhaegar looking at Helmuth

''Yes we speak Valyrian, almost most of my knights speak it, what do you want to talk about because I remind you that we are enemies'' I said looking at Rhaegar while answering him in his own tongue.

''I wanted to make you a better proposition than the rebels, this rebellion is based on a lie, Lyanna does not love Robert, I needed her to fulfill a prophecy, our relationship was consensual''said Rhaegar

'Of course I know that, if I read your damned letters.'

''Oh, so you only stole the betrothed from one of your lords, FOR A PROPHECY, nothing serious I suppose, the rebellion is based on offense to one of your lords and not for a kidnapping, that's not much better and if it was as you say, why are the Starks convinced it was a kidnapping'' I said staring at Rhaegar

''The prophecy is to save the world of live ones, I don't expect you to understand, but it is very important.... I have tried to speak to lord Stark, but he has refused to speak to me, same with lord Arryn and Tully''Rhaegar said with a relaxed tone

'it's not like killing most of the stark family would help.'

''Don't give me excuses Targaryen, what do you want to offer me and I'll see if it's worth it'' I said earnestly

''Fine mercenary, I'll better whatever deal the rebels offered you'' Rhaegar said.

''Do you know what they offered me?'', I said as I placed my hand on my chin.

''No'' Rhaegar replied.

''Dominion over all the lands I conquered, actually all the reach'' I answered with a cold tone.

The prince raised his eyebrows in surprise

''I.... I see... quite generous of the rebels, I can offer you the same with the rebel territories''said Rhaegar

''What would happen with the tyrell territories?'', I asked

''they are loyal lords, I cannot take away their territories'' Rhaegar answered.

What would happen to the Tyrell territories?'', I asked.

''They are loyal lords, I cannot take their territories from them'' Rhaegar replied.

''You have already betrayed loyal lords, why not here?'', I said to Rhaegar.

"I'm offering you the vale, the north and much of the river lands, I consider it much more than what they offered you.

'But it so happens that I will have to lay siege to everything, I am not a fool, he is trying to buy time'.

''Unfortunately, your word is worthless, you are the prince, not the king, nothing guarantees me that you will comply when I begin to besiege the territories of the rebels'' I said to the Valyrian prince.

''When this battle is over, many things will change, if you help me now, I will offer you my daughter in marriage, we will return to the capital and formalize the treaty, an early marriage and when she blooms you can consummate it'' said Rhaegar.

'A serious proposal, but no, I will lose many men and no one will like having to go to fight somewhere else, the proposal is good, but I will suffer much damage to make it happen, without considering the most important thing, we killed his father.'.

''I am interested, but I want to talk to the victor of the coming battle, not to a pretender, you will have my neutrality, win the battle and my sword is yours, lose and I will give your head to Robert'' I said to Rhaegar.

''This means my dream, win or die..... well, but the marriage I will question if you choose to wait'' said Rhaegar

''I understand that, but I look out for my soldiers before anything else'' I said smiling.

''That's enough for me, tomorrow I'll beat Robert and we'll negotiate again''Rhaegar said

Prince Rhaegar stood up and withdrew from the tent with his guards leaving me in thought with Duke Helmuth and Charles.
