"Oh, definitely. Our country is home to several phenomena that Telran desperately wants, but in the past, they've never invaded us because of the Shizar Empire. However, rumors are going around that Shizar will stay out of it if Telran declares war," Sila said. Koren looked a bit surprised as the younger girl spoke.

"Really? I've never heard of these phenomena. What exactly are they?" He asked.

"No idea. We only received a brief explanation about it. They didn't tell us anything more than they are apparently natural treasures built into our kingdom's geography. Apparently, one of them is at our very Blossoming Rose Sect. Not surprising since we're the third most powerful sect in the nation," Rila explained.

"If the Shizar Empire really stays out of it, war might really break out," Aurora mumbled. The kingdom that Aurora and her friends resided in was the Kingdom of Raine. It was the northernmost kingdom in their part of the world and shared borders with three other kingdoms. Sardon, Virili, and Telran. Sardon had two vassal states, Sarella and Kaivor, so it would be considered the biggest of the four if you counted those two nations.

Those kingdoms resided in the northern part of what could be considered a large subcontinent. There was only one massive continent on this planet, but Aurora's part of the world was in the middle of the slow process of splitting, so it was only connected to the main continent by a relatively small strip of land.

That is only relatively, though. Just the subcontinent would be close to 190,000 kilometers from one end to the other, south to north.

The seventeen nations on this subcontinent could be divided into three tiers, depending on power. The third-tier nations were the vassal states under the protection of stronger kingdoms. The second-tier countries were Raine, Telran, Sardon, and several others. Only two of these kingdoms had vassal states, those being Sardon and Hena. Hena bordered Sardon on the west and had one vassal kingdom, the Kingdom of Rory.

The first tier nation was the Shizar Empire. Its territories held a third of the land on the continent, but it had a rather unique status. It was backed by a super sect from the mainland, and its true purpose on the subcontinent was to keep the status quo. Wars were permitted, but if someone tried to completely conquer another kingdom, they would step in. Eradicating any kingdom on the subcontinent was forbidden. But if Telran had somehow convinced them to look the other way, Telran would be free to do whatever they wanted.

"Well, even if they can wage war, they'll have to think about it carefully. The Golden Celestial sect master is the second strongest expert on the subcontinent, and no one from Telran is his match. Our own sect master is no pushover either," Koren said.

As the group talked about potential wars, Aurora could only listen. She was a commoner and had never cared about politics and the like, while Koren was from a military family, and the twins were nobles. Only Rose seemed as equally lost as Aurora.
