Chapter 8

Kaen woke up groggy from last night's adventure with the trio. After what happened with Porchemy, they were able to drag the body of Porchemy and a 3 dead boars back to Dadan's place. When they told them that Kaen killed the deputy captain, they got looked at him like he was the devil. Dadan warned him that Bluejam and his crew would come looking for revenge but Kaen waved it off. Kaen even gave the mountain bandits Porchemy's corpse so they could cash the bounty in. This is a part of thank-you present for taking care of Ace and Luffy now along with Sabo. The goal is to save Sabo from separating by showing him how weak he is and making them sail out at the age of 17. The catalyst for them leaving at the age of 17 was Sabo's death so he was going to train the 3 to make them stronger than their counter-parts. He might tell Ace how to get the Mera-Mera no mi later but he wants to see if he gets or not.

Kaen wakes up the trio by kicking them in the body lightly making them smack each other in the face.

"Ahh, what the hell is your problem Kaen." Sabo says in an annoyed ton with Ace agreeing.

"Wake up you idiots, time to train. Bluejam and his crew might come so I got to make you idiots stronger understand." Kaen lectures them as he waits for them to wash up and wear clean clothes. After 30 mins, they all arrive outside with Kaen leading them into the forest for his morning run of 10km. Halfway Luffy falls down, with Sabo and Ace respectively quitting at the 3km mark. He allows them to catch their breath.

" So today, I will be teaching and conditioning your body to learn Haki or at least get you close to it." At this point, Sabo asks for what haki is. Kaen for demonstration had covered his finger in arnament haki and finger flicked the head of Luffy making him cry out in pain.

"That what you saw was Haki but mine is too advanced. Grandpa Garp can destroy mountains and was able to match the Pirate King." That statement made Ace clutch his hand in anger and pain.

" Haki is a mysterious power that allows the user to utilize their own spiritual energy for various purposes. It can be used to sense people's spiritual energy and predict their actions, give the user a protective coating of spiritual energy, and, for a certain group of "chosen ones", overpower the willpower of others. All living beings in the world are capable of learning Haki; however, most people do not notice it or fail to awaken it."

"There are 2 types of Haki which all people can use but not many are able to awaken it.

Kenbunshoku Haki(Observation), which grants users a sixth sense of the world around them and limited precognitive abilities.

Busoshoku Haki(Hardening), which allows the user to use their own spiritual energy as armor to defend against attacks, as well as make their own attacks more potent. A person can apply the armament to a section of their body, over their entire body, and even apply it to their weapons.

The last haki is the considered the rarest because only 1 in several million are able to be born with it.

Haoshoku Haki(Conquerors Spirit), which grants the user the ability to overpower the will of others. This results in the victims being knocked unconscious, or becoming temporarily subservient of the Haki user." At the end all 3 of their eyes look like they have stars in them.

"I doubt you will learn haki in a week since it took me a year to get to a certain level. So we will work on conditioning your body and then work on either devil fruit powers or weapon wielding." Kaen tells making them get excited at the fact that they can get a lot stronger. Over the few hours, they did a less severe version of Kaen's training. The good thing he figured out to maximize his training is to hunt and cook meat which allows to regenerate wounds and stamina at faster pace than normal. This would explain how Luffy basically survived almost every battle against people. Kaen's goal was to prevent Ace's and Sabo's death and slow down Whitebeard's death. The only problem is that Teach, while he loathe to admit was needed and Ace's death was a catalyst for Luffy 2 year training. He could not use his fruit in the presence of Yami-Yami but the same was true for Teach. He could kill but who knows if Blackbeard will live or not. To become the Pirate King, it is needed for him to challenge the Yonkos so I will discreetly help them in their journey.

This was their routine for the week until they were able to awaken it which he found out that Sabo and Ace both did. Sabo and Ace were both more toward Busoshoku Haki(Hardening). Their Busoshoku Haki(Hardening) was only in the awakening stage before they get it to the E-Level. Luffy unfortunately was not able but that was given since he was 3 years younger than Ace and Sabo. Though we worked more on devil fruit and he was able to plan to create multiple new techniques along with improving his reflexes and endurance. His punches 5/10 were able to hit and had enough power to hurt a normal pirate. This was great progress considering that they did this for week. He was depressed at the talent all 3 possesses which was able to match his even with the additional 5x talent. He was glad to be trained at a young age by Garp(T.N Where is my thanks. I made Garp indirectly take you. So ungrateful, Humph.) They continued this for an entire week where he knew Garp was going to come get tomorrow. Kaen quickly got 4 glass cups and entire bottle of sake.

" Did you guys know that if we exchange cups of sake we can become brothers. While our paths may be different, we will always be brother, our bond will be stronger than those with blood." Kaen tells them making all clink their cups and gulp down their sake. This signifies that they are brothers and will be even if one is dead.

"Ahh, since I will be gone before you all wake up tomorrow, I have a few things to say everybody." Ace I know who your parent is and frankly don't care. I don't care if you were the son of devil, you are our brother and we love you for it." Ace stiffens when Kaen mentions his blood but starts crying in happiness at the end with Sabo and Luffy giving their respective nods and smiles.

" I want you to promise me on our bond of brothers that until all of you will not set sail until you reach the age of 17. Understood otherwise I will give one hell of a beating". They listen in seriousness at the tone of my voice at start before rapidly nodding in fear at the end of my sentence. After that talk, we all burst into laughter before were start our last raining. Kaen looks at the 3 and says stats in his mind. A blue screen pops on the body of each kid.

"They have certainly made strides in growing stronger but they still have ways to go. I shall be the light to guide you my little brothers, sleep well." Kaen whispers to himself and smiles fondly at the idiots he calls brother.
