"Nothing, it's just what you said." He told her in that serious tone of his. "You are doing that thing you do again." He said, as he pulled her a little closer to him to give way for someone who narrowly missed walking into her by an inch.

He had not thought about it. He just did it, pulling her closer to himself as he tried to shield her from the onslaught of people that was now getting more and more prevalent.

She stared up at him as he threw the person a glance that she was glad was in no way directed at her. He looked fierce and scary. She peered at him from her innocent looking eyes as she tried to get what was going on in his head. She looked up, as he held her tightly in his arms without letting her go. Not until they had cleared out before he released her from his firm grip and stared at her again.
