Chapter 8

As usual, they walked towards the school gate Mason Armani stood there waiting for her...Mia Johns had become accustomed to being picked up after school.

"Mia so it is true you came here... Aren't you ashamed of yourself?" Mrs. Brooks asked Mia as soon as she spotted her.

"And why would I be ashamed of myself when you aren't even ashamed of yourself," Mia replied which made Addison laugh hysterically.

"What are you laughing at?" She scolded her.

"You don't have the right to scold her....why don't you scold your daughter first."

"You...." She was speechless she became silent then continued, " You don't belong here both of you....you won't last this is not a place where anyone can just go to especially country bumpkins like yourself."

"Who gave you the right to scold my fiancee?" Mason Armani asked...

No one could miss that voice... Mrs. Brooks slowly turned in fear she didn't expect to see Mason here. Their business was going well and she didn't want to ruin it not now when she had started socializing with women from the upper class.

"Who said my fiancee can't stay here?"

"Hahahaaa President Armani...You here?"

"Why...ca don't I will be here?"

"Hahahahaaaa.." Mrs. Brooks laughed awkwardly.

"Are you here to pick up Mia Johns."

"Yes, do you have a problem?"

"Aaah...no problem...no problem at all." She stammered.

Let's go," Mia spoke and then walked towards the car as soon as they left Mrs. Brooks heaved a sigh of relief.

"Did she bother you?" Mason asked.

"No."

"Let's have dinner first."

"Mmmmh." Addison stared at Mason waiting for an answer then he said..."You can also come."

Addison smiled.

Mia sat down quietly playing with her phone as she ate chocolates silently till they arrived. When they arrived, Mason got out first and then went to the other side to help Mia out. They walked into MacKinnon hotel which was Mia's favorite. MacKinnon is a seven-star hotel with the best dessert but one has to book it one month in advance but not for Mason Armani as it is under the Armani corporation.

All hotels under the Armani corporation have a private chamber specifically booked for the President that was where they went. Addison looked around in awe admiring the architectural designs.

"What do you want to eat?" Mason asked Mia.

"Something sweet," Mia replied lazily folding her legs.

"How about hot chocolate and cake."

"Okay...." The waiter took the rest of their orders and then walked away.

"Why do you like sweet things?"

"I get tired easily so I need to eat sugary foods now and then," Mia replied nonchalantly.

After a few minutes, The waiter walked in...

"How many spoons of sugar?" Mason asked.

"Ten."

"Isn't that too much?" Mason asked worriedly.

"No...Mia adds up to twenty spoons its just that she ate a lot of chocolates on the way that she has reduced the number of spoons." Addison spoke.

"Fine, it seems my fiancee is very expensive I really should work extra hard to earn more money." Mia tasted the hot chocolate and then nodded her head in acknowledgment. After a few minutes, Mason's phone rang he stood up then walked out unhurriedly.

"President we found the flower that you asked for."

"Bring it back immediately."

"Okay."

"They found the flower," Mason spoke as soon as he walked back in.

"When will I get it?"

"Tomorrow."

"Mmmh thank you."

"Why do you need it so much?"

"I need to make a cure to give my grandmother."

"Oooh....are you guys done?" He asked when he saw them sitting leisurely.

"Yeah."

"Let's go." Mason drive them back to their apartment but what surprised them was that he followed them normally he would wait downstairs till Mia walked into her house.

"Where are you going to?"

"Am going home I bought the house next to you." He replied hiding his smile proudly.

"Oooh."

The next morning, Mason drove Mia and Addison to school before going to work he looked at the sleepy Mia who kept yawning.

"Did you sleep yesterday you look so tired?" He said.

"No, I was busy."

"Busy doing what studying."

"Why don't you take the day off I'll talk to the principal," Mason suggested.

"No need," Mia replied as she shut her eyes taking a nap.

That night, Mia wasn't studying but making short notes for Addison. She heard Addison complain about her studies so she decided to make short notes and calculations for her to make it easier for her to understand.

"I'll pick you up in the evening...I want to ask you something." Mason spoke as he stopped in front of the school gate.
