Chapter 7

Previously***

She found herself lying in a big King size bed. The room was of grey colour. And  the interiors were extraordinary. Overall the whole room was screaming 'RICH'. Ava was trying to remember what happened after she went to the park. But as much as she tried, she was unable to remember anything. As she looked down at herself, she found that she wasn't wearing the same clothes she was wearing today morning. Instead she was wearing a whole different clothes. 'Who changed her clothes?'

She was lost in her thoughts when she heard the opening of the room's door. And then she saw-

*****NOW:

Ava saw a person approaching her bed with a bowl in his hand. That person happened to be none other than Aditya Roy Kapoor. Ava was taken aback, to say the least. She was beyond shocked. She couldn't help but wonder how she ended up in Aditya's house.

Aditya came closer and placed the bowl on the bedside table. He noticed that she was wide awake, staring blankly at the floor. "Why does she always get lost in her thoughts?!" he wondered.

Lost in her own thoughts, Ava suddenly heard a slight clearing of throat. She looked up and saw Aditya standing there. "You're awake!" he exclaimed, his gaze fixed on her.

"How did I end up here?" Ava asked, confused.

"I was near XYZ park when I noticed you lying unconscious on the ground, and it was pouring rain. So, I picked you up and brought you to my house. And now, I've brought you some hot soup," Aditya explained, showing her the bowl.

Ava let out a sigh of relief, grateful that he hadn't witnessed her crying her heart out. "Thank you so much for helping me. I should probably leave now. You've already done so much for me, and I'm sorry you had to see me in that state," she said, starting to remove the blankets.

"You didn't hear me clearly earlier. I said I brought hot soup for you, and you are going to have it," Aditya said in a cold and authoritative tone.

Ava wanted to say something, but she was silenced by a sharp look from Aditya. Almost instinctively, she obediently sat back on the bed. Ava was now incredibly confused. She was never used to being ordered around, and no one dared to talk back to her. In her office, her employees referred to her as the "Female Satan" behind her back. She knew about it because she overheard some gossip in the canteen. But this was the first time someone had given her an order, and she actually obeyed.

"You're lost in your thoughts again," Ava's train of thought was interrupted by a deep voice. She looked up to see Aditya smirking at her.

Ava awkwardly cleared her throat and took the bowl of soup, ready to start drinking.

.

The moment, Ava took a sip of the soup she was a bit stunned. The soup was beyond delicious. It was really tasty. She started to drink it quickly. And in two minutes the soup was finished. After finishing the soup, Ava finally realised her act and looked up to see Aditya was looking at her with amusement.

"Was the soup tasty?" Aditya asked her in a teasing way.

Ava awkwardly looked here and there and replied a small 'yes'.Aditya gave her a small smile and shaking his head he went out. Ava was scolding herself in her mind.

'What's wrong with me? I was literally drinking that soup as a starved pig! Now what must he be thinking about me?!' 'Wait wait wait! Since when did I , Ava Shetty , start caring about other's opinion?'

After giving herself a lot of scolding in mind Ava realised that she was again lost in her thoughts.

She again heard the opening of the door and saw Aditya bringing something in a tray.

"Eat your medicine" Aditya said or more like ordered giving her water and the tablet.

'Can't he just ask nicely? ! What's up with him ordering me around! I'm only tolerating this just cause he has helped me.' Ava thought in her mind.

As she took the medicine, she finally remembered about her clothes.

So she asked "Who changed my clothes?" saying this , she gulped the medicine and was drinking the water.

"I changed" Aditya replied and almost immediately Ava choked on the water. And started coughing hard.

Aditya quickly came near her and started patting her  back.  After coughing a lot she finally calmed down.  "You are okay right?" She shook her head .

"You... you changed my clothes?" She had anticipated a response akin to the ones she had read in her beloved hot CEO novels, where the maids were always responsible for such tasks. Ava, a fervent book enthusiast, particularly adored stories featuring powerful CEOs.

"No," Aditya replied, his expression unwavering. "Today is a holiday for all the maids, so it was only me here. Rest assured, I closed my eyes while attending to the matter."

Ava's anxiety began to dissipate as she chose to believe him. Deep down, she knew that someone like Aditya would never take an interest in her. Moreover, she had heard whispers of him being gay, further solidifying her relief. She exhaled a sigh of contentment, unaware of Aditya's deceitful facade. Little did she know, he had concocted this excuse in advance, instructing the maids to leave. Aditya silently praised himself for his clever ruse, convinced of its brilliance.

"I see. Thank you again," Ava responded, her voice filled with gratitude. As she shifted slightly, both of them suddenly became aware of their close proximity. Their bodies were seated intimately, his arm encircling her waist after a comforting pat on her back. Their faces were mere inches apart, their eyes locked in a captivating gaze. Ava couldn't help but notice the deepening intensity in Aditya's eyes.

Lost in the depths of his gaze, Ava felt herself becoming entranced. Time seemed to stand still as their breaths mingled in the air. The weight of the moment hung heavily between them.

Ava's senses were overwhelmed, her mind consumed by the enchantment of the moment. Their lips hovered tantalizingly close, teasing the possibility of a forbidden connection.
