Burning heart

I knew it was getting dark, I probably had to go back before the queen noticed my absence, however, I had to find the sacred plant. I had little time left. It was dark, and the best place to find the midnight plant was in the forest. The book Violet showed me said the plant was found in the forest at the hillside. It bloomed at midnight which was why it was called a moon midnight flower

If plucked correctly, it could cure anything,  legend said even curses could be removed. However, I didn't think a flower could lift a curse. 

The light faded as I entered the forest, turning into a strange dark and quiet place, the sounds had all but vanished. The smell of animals or beasts hung in the still air, no flowers seemed to help the uneasy odour. In the dim light, I saw shadows dart about, I barely heard the sound of things moving, it gave a creepy feeling of being watched.
