Edward is the winner

"What's this?" Rose asked Joe. The man handed him a key that looked like a house key as well as some checks.

 "Your prize for winning the bet," Joe replied. The man had now occupied the waiting chair which was right next to Rose. While the woman was still staring blankly at all the gifts in her hands.

 "Aren't I the object of the bet? Of course I can't win all of this," said Rose. The woman had handed back the key and the check in her hand. Joe shook his head and pushed Rose's hand away from his.

 "You are indeed the object of the bet. But, Edward managed to win this bet. The guy really likes you. He should have lost the bet, but we made him win because he realized, there is nothing better than the feeling of love he gives you. So take it. Assume That's just an apology from Edward for you," Joe explained.
