Jodie halted before the threshold to Ingrid's bedroom, mentally preparing for what she was about to do. It was a few hours after the funeral, and many pack members flowed in and out for condolence visits. Kyle received them, while Ares remained unavailable to anyone.
Jodie had decided to seize the opportunity to get a little more insight into Ingrid's personal life--the areas unknown to her. Her blue eyes were shadowed, her mouth grim, as she looked at the closed door.
"I'm sorry for the intrusion," she said to no one in particular. "But I have to look through your stuff, Ingrid. There might be something in there that can help find the bastard who did this to you."
