Chapter 5: Regret (Part5)

An hour passed since I talked to grandpa. Hex and Charmcaster seemed to have picked a location and are now building a base for themselves. Meanwhile, they sent out an army of rock monsters to take over the city in their stead.

The rock monsters were split up into a bunch and sent to each area. I got to work hunting them down. The rock monsters themselves were no challenge mainly. Although tiring to deal with, they were no main threat. 'That's their plan though, isn't it? Tire me down with rock monsters so that when the main battle comes, I won't be at my best.

Smart plan honestly, but they weren't the only ones playing it smart.' "It's Hero time" I chose the alien I wanted and slammed down the watch "Echo Echo" 'If you think numbers will be enough to overwhelm me then you're mistaken'

I split up into multiple clones and sent a small army of 7 clones in each direction totaling the clones to about 70 clones. I got to work. Whenever I would encounter a rock monster, I'd surround them and scream. About 3 hours later I swept the city and finished dealing with the rock monsters.

The city itself wasn't looking good, my fights with the monsters ended up in major damage to buildings, streets, cars, and just about anything. People were rightfully panicking and some mourning since although I took down the armies, in the end, I couldn't save everyone.

I then met up with all my clones and we merged back into one and then I turned back into a human. I then went straight to the location the sorcerers were at. I found that they've built a three-story castle with a layer of walls around it.

'So, their base is complete. I need to stop them now before any more casualties can take place.' I then proceeded to climb up a tree that was above the wall's height and I jumped on top of the wall.

'I don't want to transform and use up the Omnitrix's charge as much as I can before I hop into the main battle.' I look around and I see that they have rock monsters guarding the area inside the walls, I keep walking around until I see them. Charmcaster, Hex, and Kevin surrounded by a bunch of other rock monsters.

'It's time to end this. I'll first take out Kevin and the rock monsters quick, then I'll aim for the 2 sorcerers.'

I activate the watch and pick. "Cannonbolt" I then instantly roll into the normal rock monsters destroying them. I then go for Kevin next. I roll into him. Then, I grab him and roll around while he's with me knocking him out.

Charmcamster and Hex are next. I roll into them trying to hit them, but I'm stopped by a barrier that covers them both. "There's my chance, I'm counting on you" I then slap the symbol on my chest and transform. "Chromastone" I then put both my hands on the barrier and then the barrier becomes rainbow color before disappearing.

'Yes, it worked' I then blast Charmcaster with a beam from my hands and run up to hex and punch him. They then start throwing magic spheres at me trying to restrain me with their mana, but I burn through them absorbing them. After some repeats of the same move, I start getting hit. 'That's it, this is my limit I need to transform again.'

I then transformed into Swampfire and threw my seeds around them which they cut through with ease. I tried fireballs but also to no avail. I transformed into Big Chill and tried to freeze and phase through them hoping to buy a moment of time.

This was my biggest mistake as they were ready for it, shrugging off my ice as if it was nothing. I then tried Spidermonkey. I shot webs at them, but their barrier was already back. I was running out of moves and was sure I'm going to transform back any moment now.

In desperation, I transformed into Chromastone again and although I was absorbing mana and shooting it back, I was overwhelmed quickly. That's when what I dreaded the most started, the Omnitrix started blinking and I transformed back. I was on my knees with nothing left to give. I knew it was over. I gave my best.

'I'm sorry Gwen, Kevin, and grandpa. I couldn't win.'
