Believe in Love Again

The peaceful life of David, a gardener entering adulthood, comes to an end when a young, handsome but somewhat strange millionaire is brought into his neighborhood. Gustav is a loner with an ice-cold gaze and a hostile attitude, but for some reason he accepts the presence of his employee, David. He even cross some boundaries of decency with him. Everything for David gets even more complicated when it turns out that Gustav is not the only man who is interested in the black-haired 20-year-old and yet David is already in love with a certain girl. On top of that, all the guys who are interested in David have something of the bad boy in them. Will David be seduced by the aura of unavailability spread by the millionaire Gustav and help him believe in love again? Maybe he will be seduced by the equally unpredictable Greg? Or will it be a third party who will win his heart? In front of you a somewhat disturbing but warm story about the struggle against adversity to win and keep true love. All characters, organizations and events described in the book are fictional. The resemblance to the real ones is purely coincidental. The cover illustration is generated by AI

More Than Hint of Danger

Philip looked at his watch. It had been an hour since David had started talking to the city boy. Fifteen minutes since they went outside. Not too long, but long enough to go from the stage of getting to know each other to foreplay and maybe newt further. He wondered if they had a good time?

Philip was excited about the whole situation. He couldn't even believe that David had started thinking about being gay. Until now, his entire romantic and erotic life revolved around Berenice. All his hopes, dreams, plans and probably fantasies, at which he was making himself good. Up to that point, Berenice had been his whole world. and there was no indication that this was about to change any time soon. After all, he was even preparing to confess his love for her.

But something had suddenly changed. Perhaps it had to do with the fact that Berenice had a boyfriend? Maybe David felt repulsed, threatened and decided to do something that was not in his character? Could it be that, sensing that he was losing the love of his life, he began to panic? But to do it so radically? To turn all the way around a hundred and eighty degrees? No, there had to be something more behind it than the mere prospect of losing the girl he didn't have, after all, anyway.

It didn't take a genius to guess that something had to do with Gustav Meiden, the guy who brought himself here a week ago. David wasn't going anywhere at the time. He divided his time between home and work. He vehemently denied that he could do THAT with any of his friends, so Meiden was the only possibility. Philip wondered how it happened and what exactly did it lead to? How did this naïve man, who had not yet kissed a girl, get into the arms of a man?

Maybe it was mere curiosity on his part, but Philip would have given a lot to find out the details. David was his cousin, a boy he had heard about more than once from his friends in high school. They were intensely interested in him. They repeatedly asked him to bring David to parties. So far, none of them have tried anything. They just enjoyed looking at him, surprised that a boy could be so pretty. Sometimes they only joked that since they were cousins, they probably showered together as children and slept in the same bed. Did nothing really ever happen between them?

Stupid jokes. Painful because they hit close to the heart. Damn, precisely because they were cousins nothing could ever happen. Hadn't these fools heard of incest?

Other fools would say that the forbidden fruit tastes best. Maybe for them.

The boy with whom David spent time looked decent. This was important, because the first time is just that, probably most important in whole life. Although David's first time was over. If Maiden had indeed brought David down THIS road, an exceptionally interesting person had been brought into their neighborhood. The Norwegian could stir up a lot in the surrounding community. And he certainly has already stirred up a lot in David's life. For good or for bad.

"Hey, where's David?" asked Sebastian. He and Jarek had just walked up to Philip. The two almost always stuck together. "I haven't seen him for a while."

"He's meeting new people," explained Philip, making sure not to let on what these new people were. "They went outside a while ago."

"Really?" Jarek looked toward the exit. "I thought the thing with Berenice would shake him up more and he wouldn't be looking for fun with the girls."

"Well, I don't know if he actually does," commented Philip mysteriously. He meant the part about girls, not the fun part.

"Maybe it's better that he left," added Sebastian thoughtfully. "I heard rumors that some city boy is trouble. Even his buddy is worried. Apparently he has a thing for David."

"What are you talking about?" Philip suddenly felt something unpleasant creep into his stomach.

"Well, you know, the fact that sometimes boys take him for a girl. I heard that one of them knows perfectly well that David is a boy, but he insisted on it anyway. The rumor went around after the last disco, but no one paid any attention to it, only that this boy was supposedly seen today. Surely I sow today his buddy. Remember the one who wanted to pick up David a week ago? That one, who was running so fast?"

"And you say that some city boy took David as his target?"

"And apparently he doesn't take no for an answer. But since David is with some girl there shouldn't be any... Hey, where are you going? Philip, what's wrong?"

Philip, however, did not have time to answer. David went out with a boy, not a girl, and he was going to try how it is just with a boy, but if he can't make himself to do it, if he refuses....

Philip didn't even have time to curse himself. Why had he done this? Why did he push David into a sexual experiment without even checking who his cousin was going to do it with? After all, he knew that there are too many people in the world who ignore the well-being and needs of others, and even their free will, for their own pleasure. Why did he push David so easily into a situation that no one should find themselves in too easily?

Damn it! If anything bad happens to David, it will all be Philip's fault.

Philip hoped, however, that he would be in time to prevent the worst.

"Greg, let me go, please," repeated David still trying to remain calm, but his voice trembled. "I'm not going to let you do anything you can hurt me with. If you don't let me go, I'll have to use force, too."

David's words had the opposite effect. Greg smiled with satisfaction.

"Fight," he provoked. "I like valiant female cats."

"..."

This answer totally chilled him. Did David actually lead to this situation with his provocative behavior, or was it something wrong with Greg? Whatever the reason, the situation could no longer go in this direction, because it would actually get dangerous. David definitely did not want to find himself in a situation where he would have to fight to defend his bodily integrity, but he would do it if he had to.

"Get a grip, man, do you know what you sound like? Like a rapist!"

A hard word should sober Greg up. No one likes to be called that way, so he should stop and think about what he's doing. He should, but...

"If you like it that way..."

"...what...?"

He was stunned. He was surprised so much that he was sure he had heard wrong. After all, no one in their right mind would say such things. No one would plan such things. After all, Greg looks perfectly normal.

Yet a shiver as cold as Antarctic ice ran down David's spine. Greg's eyes said this was no joke. He really, if David objected, was able to take him by force.

The situation could have turned really bad at any moment.

What should he do? Should he strike right now? But that would mean that he struck the first blow. If the police arrive, no one will testify that David had the right to feel threatened. And would he himself confess that he struck because he was scared for his virtue? No way! So what to do?

Seeing his hesitation, Greg decided to put his intention into action. With a lust-filled grimace on his face, he began to pull it closer to David. His intention was quite clear…

No, David must not let himself be kissed. Absolutely not!

He pressed his lips together. His right hand clenched into a hard fist.

Whoosh!

Than wham!

Greg disappeared from before David's eyes. He hit the ground deafeningly. But it was not his fist that hit the boy. So whose was it?

"Are you going to tell me what the fuck you're doing?" he heard surprised. The words were not directed at Greg, who was rising from the ground, but at him. "I thought you were an honest, innocent boy, not a raghead letting loose everywhere."

In front of David, who froze in surprise, stood none other than Gustav Meiden.
