Ellie's Revelation

As Rachel's transformation came to a closure, all eyes turned to Ellie, who stood before Belial with a mixture of trepidation and determination. She was the only one left, they others were standing together watching what would happen to her. Her heart pounded in her chest as she awaited her turn, a sense of anticipation coursing through her veins.

Belial regarded her with a keen gaze, his eyes gleaming with a mixture of curiosity and malice. "And finally it is your turn, Ellie, what skills do you possess?" he inquired, his voice smooth as silk but still laced with a hint of darkness. For as often as he had asked these same questions they had to admit that they still felt uncomfortable Listening to his voice.

Ellie swallowed hard, gathering her courage before speaking. "I'm not sure that I have the same kinds of skills as the others. They each have shown how they are able to step up and take command of the situation, to defend the group and lead the attack against our enemy." She looked down and quietly stated, "I have none of those skills."

Belial gave her a deep frown, "There is nothing that sets you appart, nothing that someone could look at and say it makes you look stronger?"

Keeping her head down, "I've always been drawn to helping others," she began, her voice trembling slightly with nervousness. "I may not have any extraordinary abilities, but I've always had a deep sense of empathy and compassion. Can you build on that?"

Belial's lips curled into a wicked smile as he circled around Ellie, studying her with a calculating gaze. "Empathy and compassion, hmm? A rare gift indeed. Let us see what potential lies within you."

With a wave of his hand, Belial again summoned dark energy to surround Ellie, enveloping her in its swirling vortex. The other girls watched in awe as Ellie's form shimmered and shifted in the dark mist, her features illuminated by an otherworldly glow.

Ellie tried to be strong, to not yell our in pain but it was too much for her. As the pain coursed through her veins she let out a large cry to release its energy to the world.

As the darkness receded, Ellie stood before them transformed. Standing up straight she could feel the change, her senses heightened to an extraordinary degree, her heart filled with an overwhelming sense of empathy and compassion. She felt a surge of power coursing through her veins, filling her with a sense of purpose unlike anything she had ever known.

Belial called Rachel over, cautiously she walked toward he and Ellie, "Ellie," he spoke, "with this power and empathy comes great healing power, using your mind you will be able to heal any wound, including the most fatal. You can cure almost anything sort of death. Let's see how well it works." With that, Belial took a single swipe of his sharp fingernail pointed out. The cut across Ellie's neck was clean.

Ellie dropped to the ground holding her neck as blood began to pour. Hannah and Claire both screamed at the sight in front of them.

Ellie paused for a second, not sure what to do. She looked at Rachel and then looked at Belial.

Belial looked back toward her. "It's up to you, save her if you wish." He stood there watching.

Ellie rushed forward and put her hands on Rachels body, She closed her eyes and concentrated on the wound and what it would take to heal it. With that thought in her mind, the wound began to glow, as the others watched, the could see the blood stop pouring and the cut begin to close over. Ellie continued to focus, as the cut closed over it was healing. A few minutes later Rachel opened up her eyes and looked at Ellie smiling. Thank you she whispered. The cut now completely gone.

Ellie looked toward Belial, the hatred visible in her eyes. "How could you, she could have died. You have no right to treat her that way!"

"I have every right," Belial spoke with a tone that chilled all four of them. "It was your job to save her and you did. Had you failed, what good would you be to me. What good would you be to the others.

Hannah stepped forward, a reassuring smile on her lips. "Ellie, with your incredible empathy, you'll be able to understand our enemies' motivations and weaknesses. Your insights will help us navigate the dangers ahead with greater clarity and understanding. With your healing powers that will allow us to cheat even death as we face what lays ahead."

Claire nodded in agreement, her eyes bright with encouragement. "And with your compassion, you'll be able to offer solace and comfort to those in need, including us. Your presence will be a source of strength and support, reminding us of the goodness that still exists in this dark world. Perhaps that will be our greatest strength of all."

Rachel chimed in, her voice filled with admiration. "Your ability to heal wounds, both physical and emotional, will be invaluable to us. Thank you for what you did to save me. With your guidance, we'll be able to overcome any obstacle that stands in our way, no matter how dire."

With renewed determination, Ellie nodded, her heart swelling with gratitude for her friends' unwavering support. She knew that she carried a heavy burden, what if they were injured and she was too slow or unable to save them. What would they think of her then. But, for today, with the encouragement of her companions, she felt confident that she could rise to the challenge and face whatever trials lay ahead.

And as they prepared to embark on their journey with Belial, Ellie knew now that the four of them now shared a new bond, a bond created by Belial and through the use of his dark magic. How will that impact them in the future, will it draw them to his vision, she did not know. But she did know that would be story that is written and she would support the strength of her friends in any way she could..
