The young woman in black colored long sleeves cropped blazer and high waisted black pants walked out of the 'Reece' company while the man in black colored suit followed her. Mara's eyes met the black colored Aston Martin Victor car which worth 3 million dollars.

Ezekial was really rich to enough to buy a whole damn country. That car was not the only car he owned. He owned Ferrari and many companies. Mara could not help but wondered which family he could come from. That family must be really rich and strong.

Ezekial opened the car door for the young woman. There was a small smile on his face. Ice cube king Ezekiel Clyde had left the chat, there was no cold expression on his face. He was smiling as if he was a sweet guy who would hug you and give kisses.

"Thanks" Mara spoke with a stone face. Ezekial went to the driver seat and sat down, he started the engine as people on the road stared at the car in awe. Kylo who was standing at the place, stared at the car with a frown. There was displeasement written on his face.

He did not like it, why did the young woman have to go with Ezekial? Kylo could not help but wanted to drag the young woman away from Ezekial Clyde. But Kylo never questioned himself for feeling like that. He never noticed that he was being strange.

"Where do you want to go?"

Ezekial spoke as he looked at the young woman with a small smile. "Aren't we going to eat lunch?" Mara questioned without making an eye contact. She just looked at the front, not wanting to make an eye contact with the man.

"Yes, what do you want to eat?" Ezekial asked. His gold colored eyes were on the young woman's perfect features. He was simply admiring her face. "Anything is fine" Mara responded and turned her head, locking her eyes with the man's gold eyes. "Is there anything on my face?"

The young woman raised her eyebrow, not breaking the eye contact. Ezekial chuckled and nodded. "Yes, it is beauty" He turned around and drove off from the place. His sweet words made the young woman blinked several times to process.

Did he just flirt? The second male lead who only smiled and spoke gently to the female lead was saying the sweet words with a small smile. And he was talking to Mara Athena, not the female lead of the novel. It was said in the novel that Ezekial only smiled around the female lead.

So why was he smiling like a fool and saying sweet words as if he just fell in love? Mara furrowed her brows and looked out of the car window. 'Don't tell me he is interested in me' the young woman frowned, wishing to turn the time back.

If he was interested in her, the fault would be hers. She was the one who asked for help from him. She was the one who sat on his lap and kissed his neck. So if anything happened, she would be the one who would get blamed.

The young woman had to find out if he was interested in her or not. She had to make sure that he did not fall in love with her. Or else things were going to be a huge mess. 'Calm down.. this is the last time I am going to meet with him. We are not going to meet again'

Mara spoke in her mind.

Not seeing the future which was waiting for her. After some minutes, the car stopped in front of the restaurant where people walked in and out with smiles on their faces. Seemed like the restaurant was really good. "Thanks"

Mara thanked the man who opened the car door for her. She went out of the car as the sunlight laid on her face, making the young woman almost blinded. Ezekial and Mara stepped into the restaurant as people started to recognize them.

The man who was walking into the restaurant with the young woman was none other than the CEO of 'Jole' company. The ice cube king who never made interaction with the women. People furrowed their brows when they realized that Ezekial was with a woman.

Were their eyes tripping or it was happening in real life? Ezekial was the one who said he hated women and not interested in relationship. So who was that young woman beside him? Who was that lucky woman? People's eyes widened in disbelief when they recognized the woman.

That young woman was the CEO of 'Reece' company, Mara Athena. How was that possible? When did they two become close? What happened between them? Were they two dating? What was their relationship? Mara sat down at the seat while Ezekial sat across of her.

"Hello" the waitress greeted with a smile and handed the menu books to the two, waiting patiently for the two to order. "I want iced coffee and chicken salad" the young woman ordered. She was trying her best to stay awake so she needed some caffeine to open her eyes fully.

"Just an espresso"

Ezekial spoke and shut the menu book, his eyes were glued to the young woman in front of him. Mara furrowed her brows, why was these men kept ordering a cup of coffee for lunch only? Kylo also ordered just a cup of coffee when they two ate lunch last time.

And now this man too. It was as if their stomachs were filled with air already. "I understand. Please wait for awhile" the waitress spoke and left the table after writing down the orders on the paper. "So why do you want to have a lunch with me?"

Mara raised her eyebrow, questioning to find out the reason. "Just want to be close with you" Ezekial spoke the truth. He just wanted to become closer with the young woman. However, Mara fell into silence, thinking of the possibility of why he was talking like that.

"Something is off" The young woman murmured and stared at the man. She could tell it just by a look. The second male lead was changing into another person. Did someone posses his body? No, there was no way. If not, then why was he acting like another person?

Ezekial Clyde was the cold type who would ignore everyone except the female lead. The one who fell in love at first sight with the female lead. But things were changing. Not like the novel. Ezekial never made interaction with Mara Athena in the novel.

So why did he want to be close with her now? He was the one who never noticed Mara Athena and her company. Also his reaction when he met with the female lead for the first time was a mess and total opposite with the novel.

One thing for sure, he had changed.

He did not fall in love with female lead at first sight for sure. 'Is it because of me?' Mara lowered her head, she was swimming in the ocean of thoughts to find an answer. Was she the main reason why the second male lead changed?

It was not like that was impossible. Ofc, the second male lead could take an interest in her since she was really beautiful and admirable. Who would not fall in love with her? But still, it was unacceptable. Mara frowned tightly in annoyance.

Ezekial furrowed his brows at the sight of the young woman lowering her head. She just murmured something but he did not hear it clearly since the restaurant was really loud. What was happening? What was she figuring out? "What's wrong?"

The man's deep voice brought the young woman back from swimming in the ocean of thoughts. Mara looked up at the man with a stone face, she shook her head. "Nothing.." she said under her breath. It was an obvious lie which could be seen through easily.

However, Ezekial did not question anymore. It seemed like she was unwilling to share her thoughts. What could he do? He could only remain silent and watch the young woman spacing out. Five minutes passed.

And yet they two did not utter anything. Their table was in a huge  silence. The man was staring at the young woman in front of him while the young woman was staring at the glass of water on the table. They two were just sitting in silence. "Why are you avoiding me?"

Ezekial broke the silence.

His sudden question caused the young woman to look up at him. She raised her eyebrows. The reason why she was avoiding him was simple and easy. She was avoiding him because he was the second male lead who would fall in love with the female lead.

She even refused his offer to make the collaboration with his company because of that reason. But ofc, she could not reply like that. Who would believe her words? People would look at her in pity, believing she was a fool if she spoke like that.

"I just don't want to interact with the ice cube" Mara responded with a cold face, her eyes held nothing. They were empty like shells. The waiter came to the table with the two cups of coffee and plate of chicken salad. He placed the cups and plate in front of the two.

"Here is your order" Then the waiter left the table. "But you were the one who sat on my lap and kissed my neck that night. You were the one who interacted with me first" Ezekial spoke with a cold face. His emotionless face was making Mara could not read his mind.

Ezekial's words made the young woman rolled her eyes in annoyance. He was speaking as if she started the mess. Well, he was not wrong though. "I did not know who you were that night" Mara replied truthfully. She really did not know that he was the second male lead of the novel.

If she knew, she would have run away from him. If she knew, she would have ask where the exist was and run away from him. But she did not since her brain was not working at the moment that night. She just thought she did not have any other choice.

Ezekial cleared his throat.

"Let me get this straight, Miss Mara. I am interested in you" it was the moment Mara fell into huge silence. She blinked twice in surprise as her eyes were locked with the man's gold eyes. They two stared into each other eyes for seconds.

There was no response nor reaction from the young woman, causing the situation to become awkward. Mara gulped, processing the situation. 'I am interested in you' the words repeated in her mind, making Mara squeezed her eyes.
