Ashamed of himself

Three days later,

in the taxi, there was a young woman who was looking outside of the car window with boredom on her face. She rested for four days straight and now she was heading to her 'Reece' company. She went out of the taxi and paid the cost to the taxi driver.

As she walked into the company, employees greeted her respectfully. Mara replied with a smile and stepped into the elevator. The Husky was not with her, she left her Husky in Lily and Lila's hands. Those two maids were not ordinary anymore.

They two could fight, cook and know how to stalk someone professionally now, it was all thanked to the young woman, Mara Athena. She trusted the two maids because even if they betrayed her, she could kill them easily or throw them back on road.

"Good morning, Miss Mara" Kylo greeted her as the young woman walked out of the elevator. "Hello" Mara replied with her normal smile. But the man did not say anything more and walked past her, completely ignoring her obviously.

The young woman did not even notice the behavior of the man, she just ignored it and walked into her office with a satisfied smile. She was glad to get skillful maids who could fight, she could use them as her assistants. They were useful.

Kylo looked back at the young woman who ignored him and stepped into her office with a smile. "She looks so happy.." he furrowed his brows and narrowed his eyes suspicion. He believed his thought, the young woman surely had a hidden boyfriend.

Maybe she was so happy because she had some good times with her hidden boyfriend for four days straight. She must be so joyful to spend her precious times with her hidden boyfriend. He agreed to his thought. He needed to know her hidden boyfriend.

With no reasons, he ordered his assistant to find out about the hidden boyfriend of Mara Athena. He was giving too much attention to the young woman without realizing. If someone heard his thoughts, they might think he was being jealous.

'Who is her boyfriend?'

That question interrupted Kylo Aaron all day, he could not focus on his work all day just because of a thought. That day, Kylo ended up thinking about the hidden boyfriend of Mara Athena every second while the young woman worked hard like usual.

When the evening came, Mara started to feel tired from working nonstop. She leaned back on the swivel chair and let out a loud sigh. "I am hungry" she murmured as rubbed her tummy. "I have to fill this stomach"

She stood up from the swivel chair, her steps were directing to the outside of the office. When Kylo walked out of his office, his eyes met the young woman who looked tired. It seemed like she worked nonstop like usual.

"Good evening, Miss" Kylo greeted with a stone face. Mara flinched when she heard the man's voice. She furrowed her brows and turned around at the voice owner. "Gosh, you scared me, Kylo!" Mara shouted while pressed her hand on the chest.

"I apologize, I thought you noticed me" the man spoke. The young woman rolled her eyes, "I was spacing out, so I did not notice you. What? Are you blaming on me? Do you want to say I am the one who should notice you?" Mara asked with furrowed eyebrows.

Kylo shook his head.

"I did not mean like that. I am just saying the truth only" "Whatever, where are you going?" The young woman questioned and back faced the man, she was facing the elevator. "For dinner" Kylo answered. They two stood in front of the elevator.

They were waiting for the elevator to arrive. "Me too" Mara replied with a small smile. Kylo nodded in understatement, not saying anything. 'What a heartless man, he does not even bother to ask me to join hmph. It is not like I want to join him though'

The young woman rolled her eyes in annoyance. "*Ding*" the elevator arrived as Kylo let the young woman walk first. Mara smiled and stepped into the elevator, Kylo stood behind her. As the door closed, the whole elevator fell into huge silence.

The awkwardness was loud. The young woman silently wished for the time to pass. She hated this awkward situation. That man would never talk to her about unnecessary things. He only talked about the business, it was awkward for her to handle.

Thankfully, the elevator arrived to the ground floor quickly, fulfilling the young woman's wish. Mara stepped out of the elevator with a stone face as Kylo walked behind her quietly. There were people walking back and forth busily.

They did not even have time to gossip. They were working hard to get the increased salary. Due to their busyness, they barely noticed their Boss who just walked out of the elevator with Kylo Aaron. "Good evening, Miss!"

The man turned around and greeted with a big smile. "Good evening" Mara replied with a smile. When others heard the man greeting the CEO, they quickly turned around and bowed with smiles on their faces. "Good evening, Miss" others greeted when they noticed Mara Athena.

Mara smiled back.

No one dared to greet Kylo since the man was showing his stone face. It looked scary to others. Mara and Kylo both walked out of the company, their steps were directing to the opposite ways. Kylo turned the left side while Mara turned the right side.

"That Kylo Aaron looks so lonely like a loser" Mara murmured furiously. She could not believe that man. How could he just walk away and did not even ask her to join him as if they were strangers who had never met? "Thinking about him makes me frustrate"

The young woman rolled her eyes in annoyance, not thinking anymore. As she walked for a few more minutes, her eyes met the restaurant which was full of people inside. "Q restaurant!" Mara smiled. She walked into the restaurant with a smile as the waiters greeted her.

Mara sat down at the seat and ordered some food for herself. "I understand, please wait for awhile, Miss" Waiters smiled and left the table. Mara glanced at the table which was beside her. There were two people sitting across each other while eating quietly.

They looked like a high school couple since both were really young. "Young love is really fresh to see" Mara's lips formed into a small smile. Since she was busy looking at the young couple, she did not notice the man who walked into the restaurant. "Welcome, Sir"

The waiter greeted the man who just walked into the Q restaurant with a stone face. His eyes were searching for someone. "Found her" he murmured as his steps were directing to the young woman's table. "It looks like I can only sit with you, Miss Mara"

The man's voice brought Mara back from admiring the young couple. She turned around with furrowed eyebrows, she recognized that voice. It was familiar. She had heard that voice before. That was Kylo Aaron's voice. "Kylo? Aren't you going to eat dinner?"

She asked with wrinkled eyebrows as Kylo sat down across the young woman. "Yes, I am" the man answered with his usual cold face. "But why did you come here? I thought you went to the other restaurant" Mara's eyebrows were pulled together in confusion.

She clearly saw him going to the other opposite way. She even thought he wanted to eat alone like a loser. "No, this is the only restaurant which is near the company. I always eat here" Kylo replied as the waiter ran towards the table. "Huh?"

Then why?

Why did he go to that way? Was it because he hated to go with her together side to side? Was it because he hated to go inside the restaurant with her? The young woman frowned tightly in confusion. But suddenly the reality hit her. Right!

Kylo Aaron always go to meet his assistant when it was around dinner time. Kylo's assistant would come to him and inform about what happened in the company everyday. Original Mara Athena did not know anything since she always go back home early.

Mara literally forgot for a moment that she was in the novel. "I see" she spoke when Kylo finished ordering the food. The man furrowed his brows. 'I have not yet explained why' so why did the young woman say she understood him? Did she find out the truth?

Did she notice that he went to meet his assistant? Kylo gulped, he found out that Mara did not have any hidden boyfriend. His assistant just told him with evidences. Kylo did not believe at first, however after calculating, it was the truth.

The young woman really did not have any hidden boyfriend. Then how did she get the wounds? How did she injure her leg? Was his thought right? Did she really fight with someone? Did she go through the pain for four days straight? Did she take care of herself?

Mara raised her eyebrow at the sight of Kylo's unreadable expression. He looked worried and yet confused. "What's wrong?" She asked with furrowed eyebrows. Kylo snapped back from train of thoughts. He shook his head, "It is nothing"

He lied through his teeth. "Is that ok if I eat with you together since all the tables are full" he questioned. The young woman glanced at the tables, he was not lying. The tables are full with people, not even a single seat was free. "Yes, even if I kick you out, you can't sit with others anyway"

Kylo nodded.

They two fell into silence again.

Kylo started at the young woman's face. Her honey brown fox eyes flickered under the dim light, her perfect proportion lips looked seductive with red velvet color. Her cute nose made her pretty. Her chocolate colored long hair looked insanely beautiful.

It was the first time he had ever looked at her face carefully and deeply. She was not that ugly though. To be honest, she was really beautiful. Maybe Kylo did not notice since he was busy planning to destroy 'Reece' company.

If she had a kid, her kid would look really perfect like her. Maybe if he and Mara had a kid, that kid would be the definition of perfection. Kylo furrowed his brows in disbelief. How did this stupid thought pop up in his head? He gulped, ashamed of himself for thinking like that.

Meanwhile, Mara was looking at the young couple. She just could not stare back into Kylo's eyes. The awkwardness made the young woman bit her lower lip in annoyance. That man was staring at her without uttering any word.  It was creepy for her.

It was making her more uncomfortable. "Like what you see?" She turned around and questioned with a stone face, making the man broke the eye contact. "I apologize" Kylo lowered his head and stared at his watch. The young woman shook her head.

They two silently ate the dinner.
