The fragment she had snatched an inch away from Zino's fingers remained attached to her tongue. It bent and curved, forming waves in the air like a ribbon to miss each sword that got thrown to chop it down.
A tongue that agile had to have super thick muscles yet it looked fairly slim. Tess looked past it to notice the bird, Reve, had flown further into the air to roam around looking for a chance to sweep down again.
