Becoming Dungeon Fodder

[WPC 318- Dungeon] The world became a mess, with various gates opening everywhere. When special squads made by the government went in there, they could find different creatures inside it; some looked humanoid, while some were the embodiment of true beasts. There was panic everywhere, but it all went away when the special squads returned with a unique gift; they had started manifesting powers; some became very strong, while others had unbelievable powers looking like magic in real life. It all happened by killing the creatures inside the gates that humanity came to call 'dungeons.' After that, people started getting a 'system' telling them how strong they were. Just like that, several centuries passed, with humanity gaining superiority again. Kyle was also an ordinary evolver until a lousy situation led him to become a completely different entity he had never imagined. Follow his journey of unveiling the mysteries behind the so-called 'System'

Astonished

It had been 30 minutes since the blood bath started, Kyle was feeling like a ruler hosting a tournament of death for fun.

With this, the weak goblins were also sorted out, the ones that were left were either level 3 or 4, Kyle could see a single goblin that was level 2, its muscles were bulging as if already sore enough, beads of sweat forming on its face. Kyle could see potential in him but alas he died by the hand of a level 4 after a few seconds.

"Stop," He said only a single word, but the satisfaction and relief in everyone's eyes showed it was a big deal.

'Now...' He fiddled with the system again, choosing the option again, the chain that was on the Hobgoblin extended and went on every surviving goblin's neck.

[19 slaves formed]

[Congratualtions for completing the dungeon]

[You have the option to either assimilate it with your dungeon or convert it into 500 Dungeon Points]

These words were very relieving. Kyle looked at the other goblins that were huffing aggressively. The fights took a heavy toll on their body.

"Listen all! From now on, you are the members of my dungeon! I will tell you later of how you will live there. But for now, pick up your huts and start entering that portal. you will be given 2 hours, if you don't come here till then, I will leave you here and this place will explode after I go."

This much speech was enough to make the goblins shiver, all of them screamed and went towards their respective floors to get their stuff. Kyle asked for them to do this because he planned to make them stay in the 3rd floor. He had no accommodation for them and neither wanted to spend DP on them. He even planned to make them attack dungeons after showing the 4th floor which was like the greatest luxury they can look at. A simple promise of giving the same o them would do the trick.

"What is your name?" Kyle asked the Hobgoblin.

"It's Abrel, son of Lieg," Abrel said without making eye contact, his confidence was already very down.

"Son of Lieg?"

"Yes, my father was the previous chief of the dungeon."

"Oh, and you killed him for the position."

"No! He died naturally of old age. So did his father, we have a lot of history passed on to each chief."

Kyle pondered about the things Abrel said, history of goblins? some monsters?

"Oh, history of filthy monsters, do tell."

'Filthy? You are a monster yourself.' Abrel thought and inwardly sighed.

"Our first ancestors were living on a beautiful planet known as Kinthulu, everything was going well as we goblins went on with the path of sorcery of flying inside a tin box outside the planet. but suddenly, all changed as the people of the goblin race got a message of the system with the opportunity of being the chief of a dungeon. Many clicked yes, and that included my great-great-grandfather, he was teleported here inside this dungeon and since then we have been living here."

'Woah, I didn't expect that, so, this happened to the goblins too just like us...no, the humans, the difference is that humans can't become dungeon owners.....So many mysteries.'

"Now, tell me if you are still the dungeon owner of this place."

Abriel looked at his system and nodded his head. Kyle ordered him to share the details with him.

'Hm? he has 500 DP! And the level's high too!"

"How did you get the dungeon points without raiding any dungeons?" Kyle was brimming with questions, the situation was just too interesting. First, he got to know that the fucking ugly goblins had a planet where they even developed a spaceship. Then the dungeon situation. And now, they had dungeon points without raiding other dungeons.

"Well, that is a trick I learned from my father. On the 1st floor, there is a blue cloud from which you came, my father decided one day to travel across it himself. When he reached the other side. He saw a ferocious world with many beasts. One of them was going to kill him, but he went inside again, and the beast got inside with him too. He fought and killed it and got the message of getting the dungeon points for the first time. Since then, we lure the monsters into the dungeon and kill them there. That's how we made the huts and the flesh of the beasts helped us keep our stomachs full."

That was a long and fascinating story. Kyle now understood the goblin was a clever bunch. He became excited about getting all these good brains for him to use.

"Change of plans, 10 of you will stay here and 10 will go with me, but for the time being, you all pass the portal with me."

Kyle said and entered the portal to his dungeon. He didn't want to do anything to the goblin's dungeon. It could become a good resource gathering place.

All the goblins with their huts carried on their head entered the portal. it was not a new thing for them, just the location of the portal was changed.

Kyle was now on the 5th floor, it was silent as the other portal was still open and the skeletons with Alicia were still inside.

With every minute, a goblin entered the portal and looked at the place warily. When everyone entered, kyle told them to leave the huts on the 5th floor and follow him. The goblins did so and after getting down the stairs, everyone's mouth fell on the ground.

"What the fuck?!" Abrel shouted making many others roar. They couldn't believe it. The place that they believed to be just another pile of rocks was like heaven! With sunlight falling on their faces, Kyle looked and averted his face, they were just too ugly.
