Chapter 26: Dipper vs Time Baby

Dipper's POV

After learning about the global situation of the future through the guard's memory, I continued my way towards the control room.

I currently had the appearance of the guard thanks to the Shape Shifter's devil serum that I had used before my arrival.

Thanks to my new appearance, I was able to navigate the facility without trouble, and since I had the deceased guard's memories, I could handle certain delicate questions.

[Access denied, insufficient authority level]

"Damn, he's not high enough in the hierarchy," I said, annoyed, before signaling to GIFfany.

She was currently in this base's system, so she could help me pass through certain tricky doors.

Unfortunately, I couldn't abuse GIFfany's help because it could alert the system managing this base that there were anomalies within it.

[Access granted]

I finally entered the control room. I could see in front of me an enormous baby floating thanks to a device resembling a chair.

I had already planned to neutralize or permanently kill him, and I had a well-established plan thanks to GIFfany, but also my U-Watch, or more precisely its USB cable.

Time Baby had his back turned, and it seemed he hadn't detected my presence.

There were many guards around me, and I could tell they would be a nuisance in the upcoming fight.

"Stop, soldier! I've never seen you in this sector before," he said, inspecting me from head to toe with a scan from his robotic eye.

"Soldier Albert, this is not your zone..." Before he could continue his diatribe, I simply shot him in the head with a laser.

There was a silence around us. My action was simply too unexpected and executed too nonchalantly for their brains to quickly understand that I had just killed their colleague.

"GIFfany, we've been spotted!" I shouted before diving to dodge the rain of laser beams pouring down on me.

"Who dares to enter my lair?" declared a deep voice.

Glancing around, I observed that Time Baby's attention was now directed towards my location.

"Damn!" I said, quickly pressing my U-Watch to activate the energy shield.

I had good reflexes; the area around me was scorched by the beam coming from Time Baby.

"Miserable insolent, who are you to dare oppose me?" Time Baby declared, approaching me.

"Me? I'm just a soldier who's tired of his miserable salary," I said before moving my lips towards the surveillance camera.

I was indicating to GIFfany to activate the fire suppression systems, and as planned, she was able to read my lips without difficulty.

"What's this?" said Time Baby in an annoyed tone.

"There's an anomaly in the systems," declared a man in front of holographic screens.

"GIFfany, use the systems to create a large-scale short circuit," I said before creating another energy shield using my U-Watch.

"The traitor is using technology similar to the SCP Foundation's," declared someone in a shocked tone.

"No, he's clearly using an older version of their current one. I think he's from the past," declared another, shooting at me.

*Zizzz* electrical sounds.

As I had requested, GIFfany created a short circuit in Time Baby's base systems, and the soldiers were electrocuted to death along with the staff.

"Hahaha, it tickles!" laughed Time Baby under the action of electricity.

"It won't be as easy to deal with him, huh?" I muttered, emerging from my hiding place with a syringe in my hand.

"You think a mere assassin like you can defeat me??" he said mockingly.

"I am Time Baby, I have fought the Foundation for centuries, and even AM cannot eliminate me permanently," he said arrogantly.

I admit I underestimated this enormous baby, and I should have also taken into account that his exaggerated physical mass could prevent him from suffering a lot of damage from electricity.

"GIFfany, we're moving to plan B!" I shouted to her.

[We have a plan B?] she replied, confused, appearing on a holographic screen.

"It was you who killed all my men!" shouted Time Baby before firing at the huge holographic screen.

[You can't kill me without destroying this place, I've taken control of everything], GIFfany declared mockingly, using the microphone in the room.

While GIFfany was busy distracting Time Baby, I injected myself with the devil serum based on the ghost devil fruit.

"I don't think I really need to use this, but you're more troublesome than expected," I declared, floating in the air.

"What is this devilry?" shouted Time Baby, firing at me frantically.

I easily dodged his shots by passing through the objects around me thanks to my newly acquired intangibility.

I didn't have much time left; I had already used another devil serum, and possessing two at the same time greatly reduced the activation time of both.

"GIFfany, you must use this at my signal," I said, throwing my U-Watch towards Time Baby.

"Sorry, little baby, but I'll have to enter your body. It might hurt the first time," I said, rushing towards him.

The moment I entered his body, it was strange.

I was in an entirely white space, but strangely familiar.

"I think I've seen this place before," I muttered, looking around.

"Insolent, get out of my body and mind!" shouted Time Baby, appearing before me.

"I see you don't understand your situation, haha," I said, laughing.

"What?!" he said, clearly taken aback.

I had opened a door similar to the one Kaguya Otsutsuki creates with Yomotsu Hirasaka. I was currently in Time Baby's mind.

Normally, when I possess someone using ghost powers, their consciousness automatically falls asleep.

I don't know the exact reason why Time Baby's consciousness didn't give way to mine, but it doesn't matter. I'll just restrain him and devour him if possible.

The mental world is where I'm currently located, or more simply Time Baby's mind. Here, imagination is master.

I then decided to use Kaguya's method to take control of "this world" thanks to Yomotsu Hirasaka.

"Where are you? Show yourself!" declared Time Baby, looking around.

Around him, everything started to change from immaculate white to black, and countless hands and eyes began to emerge to hold him back.

Meanwhile, in reality:

"GIFfany, I want you to download Time Baby's mind into my U-Watch using my USB cable," I said with difficulty.

[Are you sure, Dipper? He could escape through the internet], declared GIFfany, taking control of a small robot that had been damaged by electricity earlier.

"He won't do it, he knows AM controls the internet. So hurry up," I said, still from within Time Baby, urgently.

I couldn't hold Time Baby for long in his own mind. At first, I wanted to devour his mind as Sasuke had done with Orochimaru, but it was impossible.

The mind of a being like Time Baby is extremely different from the original Dipper's; they are simply in different leagues.

Even now, he was struggling to regain control of his body.

[I'm starting, Dipper. Try to prevent him from resisting], declared GIFfany, connecting the USB cable to Time Baby's body skin and connecting it to my U-Watch.

"NO, NO!" shouted Time Baby in a dark spiral in the dark world of his mind.

«AMV2, I want you to isolate Time Baby's mind in a file in the U-Watch database and, if possible, delete it», I declared to my nanomachines.

I couldn't ask GIFfany to enter my U-Watch for this task; I didn't want to risk creating a confrontation between GIFfany's mind and Time Baby's.

So, I called on AM V2 to minimize the risk.

[Launching the process of locating Time Baby's mind...]

[Relocating Time Baby's mind in the U-Watch...]

[Alert, alert]

*Crack* sound of the U-Watch breaking

[One can never be too careful], declared GIFfany after breaking my U-Watch by controlling a robot.

"Yes, you're right," I declared, still in Time Baby's body.

"My lord, is everything alright?" declared a soldier with many armed individuals with him.

"Uh... yes, everything's fine. I exterminated the insolent who tried to assassinate me," I declared in a haughty tone.
