Iris was discharged from the hospital and given the news of the team placement. She was happy Naruto and Sasuke passed the test for Kakashi. Its a stupid test really but also an important lesson.

Kakashi pov

I stayed at Iris's to watch the boys and got to know them. Iris was getting released for the hospital today, so I wanted to have the place cleaned and a hot meal ready for her. It's like we are already married something I hope to make reality soon. "Kakashi Sensei I have a question?" I was brought out of my thoughts by Sakura? "Yes what is it Sakura?" I said plainly her eyes sparkle. "Do you love Iris sensei or are you just friends?" She asked with girlish glee. I was about to answer,until I felt the Ice cold glare of two young male Ninja from unknown places in the house. I forgot how productive these two are of the Mama Bare. "I think that's not any of your concern Sakura. If you could go back to cleaning please." I said trying to save my skin. "Oh ok then." she said with disappointment.

Iris pov

when I set foot in the house it sparkled. Then the smell of honey lime chicken filled my nose. The only person who knows this recipe is my favorite is...."Kakashi?" I said in a questioning tone. When I stepped into the dining room tears filled my eyes. "Mom are you ok?" Naruto asked helping set the table. "Yes cub I'm ok." I said whipping away my tears. Kakashi walked up taking my face in his hands. " Okaerinasai saiai no hito watashi wa anata ga inakute sabishikatta. Tabemono ga hieru mae ni kite tabete kudasai."

(welcome home darling I missed you. Come and eat before the food gets cold.)

I blush hearing those words coming from him. Without thinking I hug him enjoying the warmth he provided. his arms wrapped around me in a protective embrace.

"Kakashi no chansu o sashiagemasu. Ofā ga mada aiteiru ka dō ka to iu kotodesu ka?" I whispered tired of being alone.

He helped me sit down still a bit stunned. The meal was great but before I could get up to do dishes the three were already on it. Kakashi takes my hand in his. "I won't let anything happen to you. I promise to be you rock and comfort." He said with a genuine smile something I had not seen in years. "Same gose for you Kakashi " I said resting my head on his shoulder. If only the good times would last. In the Shadows a jealous rage boiled in a male ninja. He felt his heart shattered as the woman he loves, was moving on to someone else.
