Oliver continued to stare at the TV even though Lisa had disappeared from the screen. He could not believe this. Maybe he suddenly heard a terrible ear problem, because did he just hear her say he was her adopted son? And said she was going to get to the bottom of this issue?

"We said you shouldn't do anything to tarnish the reputation of this family." The Mayor said slowly.

Oliver turned to face him and tried to apologize. He hadn't planned to do so either. "I... I am... s—"

"You didn't do anything." The Mayor interrupted.

"You have been very good and also did well in school. I believe this is our fault. If we hadn't forced you to go with us during the pride month celebration, you wouldn't have gotten the public's attention and had your past come back to you. Instead of blaming you, we believe this is our fault."
