Gu Mengmeng tore a piece of beast skin and wrote a 'wine' word on it to hang on the door. Then, Elvis used his sharp claws to carve out a couplet on the blue stone at the side. The first line was 'Rushing in the wind and moon because of the King's orders', followed by the second line 'Spending the day and night to earn his favor'. Both of them hung at the entrance above the stone inscribed board that only had the words 'Dragon Gate Inn'.
This couplet was the one written on the door of the film 'Dragon Gate Inn' with Maggie Cheung acting. Gu Mengmeng felt that this version was the most classic version and did not allow anyone to criticize it.
She taught the words to Auretin and told him that if a thousand years later, the person could read this couplet, it would prove that she was the right person.
