BEAUTIFUL IN WHITE

CHAP.2

It was 8 months following Jack's arrival to America who was at his most exceptional term to take over his father's company. The area where his homecoming party was taken place fascinated him that it somehow made him buy the entire region and settle his father's business there.

His explanation for his father was that the conditions there help him to ease and clean off his thoughts which would follow in a more excellent fulfilment at work. It took him a great deal of time to make his father consider it was a great labouring place for both the staff and him.

And it had been eight years since he appeared already surrounded by bulky works. He truly despised his job, never in his life, he wanted to be a businessman for his passion lazed somewhere different.

He distinctly recognized when he was fifteen he came home from school, he was thrilled as he had won the first prize at his school's art contest. Fortuitously, his mother was still with him at that time. The very first person he ran up to was his father whom he saw as his ideal.

"Papa look I have won the first prize", he graciously placed the drawing on his father's study table pausing for his father's comment at his accomplishment.

It was a picture of a course that seemed to follow the route that had been raised for it, following it unconsciously and readily knowing it would soon join the rest of the branch and into the waterfall.

His father was running through some paper works entirely neglecting the presence of his son. Jack frowned at being overlooked by his father.

"Papa won't you take a look at my work?".

Mr Albert held his work which he was reluctant to and eyed his son. "I am working and I hope you can see it Jack so don't bother me now".

"But I just want you to look at my work Papa".

"Art is never a work Jack, its all garbage".

"But I want to be an artist it makes me feel good besides art is not a waste Papa everyone cherishes it".

Mr Albert stared at his son for several minutes processing what his son just delivered. He chuckled at his reasons. "It doesn't matter if you like it or not but, finally, you will take over my place".

Before Jack could say anymore MR. Albert directed him to get out and as he was advancing his way out, he was abruptly stopped by his father. Oh! how his face brightened up thinking maybe his father changed his mind..just maybe.

"Take this junk out with you", Mr Albert said pointing at the picture that Jack had drawn and just like that his spirit was broken into millions of pieces which were later supported by his mother.
