THINGS ARE GOING WELL

AT AARON'S HOUSE:

Alayah prepared the chicken tortilla soup, once the soup was prepared, she asked Harry and Aaron to sit at the dining table and she served them, and after that she sat with them.

Harry was drinking soup calmly, he looked at Alayah, and then at Aaron, they both were drinking the soup with very serious faces. Harry didn't like that so in order to gain attention he started slurping the soup.

Aaron looked at Harry, as it sounds so bad, then he looked at Alayah.

"Yes, now blame me, I taught this too", Alayah said in a sarcastic tone. Aaron looked at Harry again, who was still slurping, and instead of forbidding him, Aaron started slurping too.

Alayah looked at him with a shocked face, and Harry started smiling, and said to Alayah, "Come on, Alayah try this, you will enjoy".

"Me?" Alayah asked.

"Yes", Harry said.

"Okay let so this", Alayah said.

They all were slurping, Harry tapped on the table with his hand, and it sounds musical, after that Aaron slurped and tapped on the table. They all laughed over their nonsense.

AT THE NIGHT:

In the lawn, Alayah was sitting on one of the couches, Harry falls asleep in Alayah's lap, and Alayah was moving fingers in his hair. Aaron came outside with a cup of coffee.

"Coffee?", Aaron asked Alayah.

"You will wake him up", Alayah maundered.

"Oh, I didn't know he is sleeping", Aaron whispered and sat with Alayah and started looking at Harry's face, then he dialed Denzel's number.

"What's up, man?" Denzel asked soon after picking the phone up.

"Denzel there is something very serious to talk about", Aaron said.

"Is everything alright? How is Harry?" Denzel said.

"Yes, it is about Harry, look I know that lady is your sister, and after Henry's death you just have your sister as a family member, I can't put any restriction on you, but now she is crossing her limits", Aaron said.

"Aaron, calm down and let me know what happened", Denzel said.

"She has applied for Harry's custody; can you believe this?" Aaron said.

"You might be joking", Denzel laughed.

"I wish", Aaron said.

"But why? I just cannot believe this", Denzel said and disconnected the call.

"He looks so innocent, I wish he remains so", Alayah said while looking at Harry's face.

"Do you think human beings are innocent?" Aaron asked.

"Yes, I mean as a child you are innocent but once you are grown up, you change your nature, some people remain innocent and some people don't, so it might be experiences of life that make a person evil or good", Alayah said.

"All right", Aaron said.

"What about you? what do you believe?" Alayah asked.

"I totally disagree with you, humans are not innocent, they are not pure, the people whom you think are pure and innocent, a time comes when they don't remain the one, they used to be", Aaron said with hate.

"Even as a child?" Alayah asked.

"Even as a child!" Aaron said, "let me take him inside now", Aron picked him up, and walked inside.

AT THE HOSPITAL:

"Mom, I just want to tell you that you need to be strong, don't stop like this, life moves on, I know you are suffering, and you can't avoid it; it is fine, just accept the reality and come home, you can't escape! you have to survive it. You have to put up with it. You must move ahead. Mom! Della and Henry are no more. I have accepted, you know I am healed?" Aaron said.

His mom didn't say anything but just looked at him.

"Mom, you will know you have healed when you can talk about anything that has gravely injured your heart without crying. Due to my acceptance of their death, and the fact that Harry is such a great amalgam of both of them. Mom, you can spend years living in this hospital, the trauma will still be there just because you are not ready to accept the reality. I know it is difficult, draining, stressful, and exhausting, but we need you, live with us, you will feel good", Aaron said, and he stopped talking.

"Mom?" he called. But Mrs. Lincoln was still silent.

"You just don't know what is happening, that Grendel wants to take the custody of Harry and his eyes are on our company", he said. And his mother was still silent. Aaron stood up and walked towards the door to leave.

AT DENZEL'S HOUSE:

He was trying to compose the music, but something was disturbing him, he picked his phone up and dialed Mrs. Grendel's number.

Mrs. Grendel looked at her phone, it was the sixth call from Denzel but she was not attending to it.

"I can't escape anymore, I need to handle him", she said and picked the phone up.

"Hey my messy brother, I am sorry I was so busy and could not come to see you, she said with a lovely tone.

"You could not come or did not come? Let me give you the answer, you didn't come because you knew that I will be mad at you", Denzel said.

"Denzel…", she was about to say something.

"I confronted my brother! My brother Aaron, just because you wanted to get close to Harry, I thought you really love him, but no, I was wrong", Denzel said.

"Denzel, my brother, listen to me, I do love Harry, I just want to give him a family environment", Mrs. Grendel said.

"Grendel's family environment? Amazing, go ahead but do remember that you have lost Aaron and now you will lose me too", Denzel said and disconnected the call.

AT AARON'S OFFICE:

"Sir, there is something that can help you in winning the case", the lawyer said to Aaron.

"Yes?" Aaron asked.

"Look, the court will obviously say that you are a single man, but the court will also see that with whom Harry feels comfortable, Mrs. Grendel is just a stranger to Harry, and Harry is close to you, court will ask Harry and if he said that he wants to be with you, I think the court will agree to give his custody to you", the lawyer said.

"Let's hope for the best", Aaron said.

AT AARON'S HOUSE (NIGHT):

Aaron came back, and Alayah was sitting with Harry in the lawn.

"Now open your mouth", Alayah said to Harry, who was busy in playing a puzzle game.

"It's your turn Alayah", Harry said and looked at Alayah and they both realized that Aaron was also there.

"Uncle", Harry said and opened his arm to hug him.

"Yes, my little monster, how are you", Aaron asked and hugged him.

"Uncle, do you know the doctor said well done to me", Harry said.

"That is great, now we will do whatever you want for tonight", Aaron said.

"Yay", Harry shouted with excitement, "Now come we will deal with this puzzle", he added.

"Sure, but let me change the clothes and I am hungry too, after that I will come", Aaron said.

"Mr. Aaron, I wanted to talk to you", Alayah said.

"Yes?" he asked.

"My books are at home, the Japanese language books, I just want them, so can I go and pick them up?" Alayah asked.

"Ms. Alayah, tomorrow is trial, just wait for that, I cannot take risks", Aaron said.

"And you said that a nurse will live with Harry for twenty-four hours, What about that? I am not saying that I don't want to work with you but I have to take my language classes too", Alayah said.

"Just take more leaves, once the matter calms down you can go for classes, and as far as books are concerned if you want, I can go and take them", Aaron said.

"No, it is fine", Alayah said.
