The Whitehouse 1

Tonight was really messy. She had let her emotions get the best of her. Kareena let out a long sigh as she tilted her head back underneath the shower head with her eyes closed. Water run from the top of her head and cascaded down her slender back, her hair sticking to her like glue.

Her muscles had long relaxed under the hot water. Realizing she had stayed in long enough, she turned off the faucet and wiped the water away from her face.

If she was going to the White House, she might as well go as her refreshed self. She wrapped a towel over her toned curvy body and wiped the fog on her mirror. Her brows knitted, the bump was still visible despite the cold compress she did.

'What should I do with him?' she mused. She initially thought dealing with him was troublesome but now things were getting out of hand. She had to put a stop to his shenanigans.

She blow-dried her hair and put it up in a high ponytail. She threw on dark jeans, a top, a black leather jacket and matching leather boots. Not forgetting the most important thing, she wore a black mask, leaving her an alluring and mysterious sight!

"Hmmm", she hummed in thought as she looked at her reflection. She did not want to wear any makeup but her exposed lips looked too plain. Coming to a decision, she applied a coat of red lipstick. "Better."

"...who we are and why we are here, are not among them. Those answers we carry inside." Kareena's ears perked up hearing the man whose voice excited her heart boom from the living room as she walked there. "I am Optimus Prime-"

"Oooh", she shivered, not helping a giddy smile from his commanding voice as she took the stairs down. Her doberman spotted her from the top of the stairs and run over to join her.

"-and this message is to my Creators: leave planet Earth alone, 'cause I'm coming for you!"

Reaching the foot of the stairs, she saw Asher standing in front of the big screen with his hands clasped against his chest and his eyes full of awe. She had no right to say his reaction was overboard, instead, she understood him.

"We're doing this again tomorrow, properly this time", she said.

"Say less", he replied, getting out of his trance to take in her getup. His brows rose in question.

"I'm stepping out for a bit. Don't wait for me and don't stay up too late", she told him.

"Yeah." He was going to go on about not being a kid anymore but he decided to leave it at that.

Kareena looked down at the dog and gave it a command, pointing at her brother. "Guard."

It run towards Asher and assumed a guarding position, showing its master how obedient it was. Satisfied, she left the house.

"Blackrose on command", she spoke as she fastened her seatbelt.

"Blackrose on command", came the female automated voice.

"Secure the Whitehouse location."

"Calculating the quickest route to the Whitehouse." A few beeps were heard before the car computer spoke again. "Success."

Kareena drove out of the compound following the directions given. It was a little after 11. The roads were empty and bright lights luminated from the streetlights and designated buildings. Those who led a night life were already out and about, gracing the streets with their presence.

Kareena rested her elbow against the window sill and her cheek under her fist whilst her free hand held the wheel. This trip... She had decided to obey Miss Quinn's orders in order to not put her girls in a tight position and most importantly, she wanted to know why Miss Quinn accepted this favor.

Kareena would have concluded it was because of the president but Miss Quinn's reaction... Her body betrayed her when she reacted to Kareena's question: what was she not telling them? Thus, the girl was set on satisfying her curiosity.

As for the client she would be babysitting, the very one that the entertainment industry had made a big deal out of and now her friends too, she was not the least bit curious about him. There was a man whom a mere thought of infuriated her, thus she dared not entertain a single thought of him; and then there was her annoying ex.

A combination of these two easily extinguished any desire for her to appreciate the opposite sex. If anything, she didn't want to have anything to do with them. Therefore, Claude Walker was the president's son and now her client, nothing more.

"You are 200 meters from your destination."

Her car computer's voice snapped her out of her thoughts. She placed her foot on the brake, slowing down as she drew closer to the gates. A few meters away, a crowd of reporters shouted for Claude or his father's name as they were restrained by security. She could sense the chaos that came with tonight's incident.

"You have arrived at your destination."

Kareena finally stopped and rolled down her window as a security man walked up to her window. He had a suit on, a nude earpiece running from his collar and disappearing into his ear, and a torch. Kareena did not need anyone to tell her the bulge on his hip was actually a gun. But the girl was far from intimidated.

"If you're looking for a masquerade party, this is not the place. Now move along!" The man growled, flashing his torch in her face.

Kareena shielded her face with one hand and frowned. "Move that torch from my face."

"And move while I'm being nice! Scram!"

Had security tightened its reigns or was this guy simply rude? The girl's calm tone did not change despite growing annoyed. "I'm not lost."

"Just my luck", he lamented with distaste at her stubbornness that only angered him more. "Where do you think this is?!"

"This is the Whitehouse-"

"Your grandfather's house! I said leave!!"

"What's going on over there?" Another security personnel shouted and soon walked over.

He had been watching from the sidelines but could not hear the words exchanged. Now he was curious to know what was taking so long and why his colleague looked agitated.

"She's-"

"Is it in your job description to be rude to guests or do you first check their identity?" Kareena cut in on the first man who wanted to run his mouth with insults and complaints. Her composure calm and cool.

The second guard was taken aback and he frowned at his colleague before looking back at her with furrowed brows. Now that he had a good look at Kareena, he had a feeling she might be someone they were expecting especially with the mask she had on. His colleague had not yet started his shift when the other masked ladies arrived.

"I apologize for any rudeness but we're not exactly lenient with all those visiting, especially tonight. Who are you and state the reasons for your visit?" He probed.

"Miss Blackrose, I understand the President is expecting me", she replied.

There had been many who had been chased away and even locked up after uttering such words that would be considered nonsense. But after hearing the name, the two men froze and the former was struck with terror. He dared to be rude to the President's special guest....

The second guard quickly regained composure and communicated to his colleagues. "Miss Blackrose has arrived, I repeat Miss Blackrose has arrived!"
